I hate the cliche term everyone uses now, "hidden gem," but this place is a bit hidden and a pleasant surprise. It's got a nice, rustic, modern feel. It's super busy with a team behind the counter. Both times I ordered the maple and salt latte, with whole milk. The flavor was unique and different. Good stuff. The young lady behind the counter was super pleasant to talk to. I didn't catch her name, but then I never do. She mentioned she has spent time in LA and helped me figure out which whole-bean coffee to buy for espresso. I wish I had let her fine-grind the beans for me. My coffee grinder nearly caught on fire trying to get it fine enough. Anyway, blah blah blah. The place is great. If you're there, get it.

I ordered 3 chocolate churros and a chocolate blended drink (no caffeine). I think we waited about 10 minutes or so but the churros came out fresh and hot. I think the chocolate used is Hershey's syrup (I could be wrong), but it tasted very familiar. The drink was not very sweet and creamy. I finished the rest of the churros that night. They do accept Apple Pay and credit cards but it's been a year since I came here, not sure if I did that last time. I already was holding up the line so I just said I would take pesos for change. Next time I am here, I will bring smaller bills as they don't have change. The young man who served us used to be in Texas but family moved back to Ensenada for better opportunities. The ice cream shop looks new inside. As they moved locations.
