The typical salmon (smoked and baked), the typical smoked fish from the super market, Christmas goose (pretty dry), very few and very boring standard vegetables (broccoli, potatoes, green beans), no salad, nothing light, nothing healthy, nothing green, nothing fresh. It was probably the most boring (and probably most unhealthy) Christmas lunch buffet I ever had. However, when you want to take your grand (grand) parents out for a Christmas lunch buffet, it might be a good choice - it's like a time travel to a Christmas lunch buffet a few decades back.

Yes, the proximity certainly played into our returning again and again and again and again. But we would not have visited nearly so often if the quality of food and service had not been outstanding.
