Not super impressed as there was barely any chai flavor and the drink is honestly 95% milk (but perhaps my fault for ordering). Good service, seems like quick turnaround for seating and there is brunch upstairs but I haven't tried it out. My friend and I visited Café Kitsuné during our trip in Paris because we thought it would be great to stop by a cute and trendy cafe! Pros: the cafe itself is aesthetically pleasing and the service is quick despite the long lines. They also sell different Japanese/French pastries that look delicious. Cons: I felt like this cafe is always packed with tourist and the coffee was alright. If I'm going to be honest, the taste of the coffee didn't justify the price. Customer service wasn't anything special. Just your average trendy coffee shop! In my opinion, Paris is full of great coffee places. I've had the best iced coffees from smaller cafes and for half the price. If you want to visit Café Kitsuné during your trip to Paris I would recommend trying it once to get it out of your system! Extremely rude staff. We were visiting the area and stumbled upon this cafe- we entered through the back door which was fully propped open with a sign. When we entered into the cafe we were yelled at for using the back door. I'm assuming it was for deliveries only but staff made their own mistake by keeping the door fully open. Cafe Kitsune was such a cute little place to rest and grab a drink before heading over to Tuileres Garden and the Louvre. The aesthetic is on point and the huge mirrored wall is perfect to Instagram your Parisian OOTD. Beyond the aesthetic, I wasn't too impressed but maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I got the Yuzu & Miel Glace (Iced Yuzu & Honey). It was very refreshing but for 5 euros it was a bit underwhelming and very similar to Korean yuja-cha that I could make for myself at home. Service here is understandably slow, as there was only one man taking people's orders/prepping customers' drinks/snacks. We ended up getting the vanilla ice cream here and had to wait around 15 minutes for a scoop of ice cream. Although delicious, something tasted off about the ice cream. I'm not exactly sure why it tasted a bit strange, but it wasn't the most pleasant vanilla ice cream. It did the job of filling me up in the meanwhile, although I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

A super cute, super tiny spot near a lovely park, Café Kitsuné is a little hard to find unless you know where to look. I was feeling verdant, and I had a green tea latte with oat milk and a pistachio madeleine -- this was a delightful combo, and a nice little refuel on a morning walk through Paris. The design of Café Kitsuné is super cute, and they have excellent merch -- everything is in a very millenial-friendly, Instagram-ready aesthetic. Amazing matcha latte, authentic matcha powder none of that matcha with sugar all ready added BS. Milk alternatives available - they carried Otaly which I was surprised (very delicious oat milk brand). The cafe was new, clean and pristine inside. This place is Instagram famous! I recall seeing their logos on their to-go cups many moons ago before my trip to Paris. We were walking around the Palais Royal when I spotted this café. Being a lover of both intimate cafés and matcha, I knew I had to try Café Kitsuné out. Kitsune in Japanese means fox, hence their signature fox shortbread cookie. You may recognize the name from Maison Kitsuné, a popular Parisian fashion label. In Japan, the fox is believed to have the power to change its own appearance and this line wishes to bring that to life with different appearances in fashion, music, design, and food. They launched Café Kitsuné in Tokyo back in 2012 and brought it to Paris a few years later. And true to the clothing line's minimalist aesthetic, their café is no different - charming and chic to a T. This place is as tiny as can be, with just a few stools along the wall and not much standing or sitting room. Particularly on beautiful days, it is wise to take your coffee to go and sit in the nearby garden of the Palais Royal. You can expect the traditional coffee offerings here, as well as tea, juices, and pastries. Coffee is from Workshop Coffee Company, a London-based roastery. However, their most popular item is their matcha latte (whether hot or iced). Since I am a matcha fanatic, I ordered one to drink in the café and it was delightful. The matcha here is strong and pronounced but not bitter. I thoroughly enjoyed my matcha latte and so desperately wish that there was one close to me. I would come here everyday if I lived in Paris. The cutest little hipster cafe just adjacent to the Palais Royal. I was making my second round at the Louvre and decided to stop by Kitsune as I was headed back to my hotel. I got confused and ended up at the back/storage of the cafe and saw the sign, but the door was closed and no windows to see in. Make sure you follow the path adjacent to the garden/walkway against the colonades and don't go behind it - you'll figure it out if you made the same mistake as me...it will look sketch. I got the Matcha Latte - I did put one bag of organic sugar, because it's very dry tasting...it's not sweet like a Starbucks matcha latte and the matcha flavor is STRONG so if you enjoy matcha you'll like this otherwise you're better off getting a coffee drink. The lemon pastry cake/bread was good AF. Get THIS! Took off a star because it's sooooo overpriced. read more

Super cute storefront and interior. Barista is also fluent in English, which is nice for foreigners like me. Very minimal menu and service. Also ridiculously overpriced cookies. Their signature shortbreads, which are little foxes, are cute not doubt, but way too small to justify 3.50€. Their regular cookies of the day are also pretty small. I ordered a matcha latte. Their coffee comes unsweetened and you add the sugar yourself. It was quite strong and grassy, which is what real matcha tastes like. I think the quality of their coffee is pretty good, but once again the servings are pretty small. My latte was probably around 6-8 oz, which is not out of ordinary if you order for here and drink it in a little cappuccino mug, but as an American I have grown accustomed to my 24 oz venti cups of joe, and so the tiny little to go cup was kind of surprising. Very cute though. I would say you pay more for the atmosphere and the branding then for the actual coffee. read more

Decent location adjacent to a beautiful open park. Limited inside seating with roughly 5 stools at a high bar counter. Outside seating is much better. Nice wait staff who accommodated my broken French. Wi-fi signal is very restricted and doesn't cover the outside seating well. I came here to knock out a bit of work and was sorely disappointed when even 4 steps outside of their front entrance in their designated outdoor seating I couldn't access a stable connection. The cafe latte was good but not the best I've had this far, that for me goes to Kozy cafe simply for the richness, creaminess and smoothness of my latte. But other than the cramped seating and lack of reliable wi-fi I don't have any major qualms with Cafe Kitsume. I was still able to read a book in a nice park with friendly service and a serviceable latte. Stopped by here during our trip in September after visiting the Louvre, as I'm sure most customers do. All praise, its super cute and the employees are friendly. and Wow to find oat milk in Paris! The only downfall is that you'll be forced to pay for overpriced coffee as this seemed to be the only place in the vicinity where one could find iced coffee. I would give 5 out of 5 but sometimes service and coffee is inconsistent here. I really like this cafe, and I happened to move a block away so I come here all the time. The café itself is pretty small with bar seating, and when the weather is nice they put chairs out in the jardin. Jardin Palais Royal is one of my favorite spots in Paris, it's tucked away so it's usually calm during the week. It gets extremely busy here on the weekends, I prefer during the week. My favorite thing here is the iced mocha, omg it's incredible. I don't usually order mocha's, but I was feeling adventurous last week. Café Kitsuné was featured on one of the many blogger's such-trendy-must-caffeinate lists that I read while preparing to go to Paris two weeks ago. As promised, it was very, very trendy. It's pretty small, with limited indoor seating space but plenty more seats on the exterior. We mostly ended up here because it's very close to Baguett's, the café we went to for breakfast. In the interest of overindulging (when in Paris?) we traipsed over to Le Jardin du Palais Royal and re-caffeinated. After figuring out that as a general rule, iced matcha is the way to go, I decided to try one at Café Kitsuné. Their secret? Sweeten it with agave syrup. Magnifique! This place is fab in my book in a practicability aspect: It's simple, and in a prime location. The gluten free cakes always are a huge plus in my book (even better when made by Jenny!), and I'm thrilled that it's a place that you're not meant to sit for hours. Have a chat while standing, or grab your coffee to go and stroll trough the Jardin du Palais Royale. Perfection and a new concept. This little cafe is nestled in the heart of the Palais Royal gardens and what better backdrop could one ask for when drinking their coffee? Really, these gardens are some of my favourite in the city. I may say that about every other garden in Paris but there is something very special about the this open space framed with some of the most beautiful Parisian architecture with matching grey blinds. Anyway back to the cafe.. The coffee is divine and the service was very friendly which is always pleasing. On a warm day I could not think of a better place to go for a coffee as you can enjoy your drink on one of the benches outside and be surrounded with the beauty of these gardens. In fact I think I will be stopping here on at least a weekly basis when summer comes around. Having said that I definitely wouldn't choose to come here in the winter simply because there isn't any seating which can prove a bit of a problem when going to a cafe. Some people are really into the whole grabbing a coffee and standing at the bar scene and whilst I like it as a concept I usually head to a cafe to sit down and catch up with friends which because much more difficult without seats. Anyhow that wasn't the idea behind Cafe Kitsune and I love it for what it is. They also serve Bob's cold press juices which are incredible and a tempting selection of baked goods. read more
