I had lunch at Café Toscano with a friend a week or so ago. We sat outside, where their outside seating has great views of Parque México. I've previously visited another location of Café Toscano in Roma Norte for breakfast on a previous trip to Mexico City, and I enjoyed their breakfast menu more than their lunch menu. I just wasn't very into their lunch menu options, so I went with a Caesar salad to keep my lunch light. The Caesar salad was nothing special, but the atmosphere is great, and their outside seating is beautiful. The service was also great - friendly, helpful, very fast. It's not a bad place for a meal, but I definitely prefer Café Toscano for breakfast over lunch. read more

Came here for breakfast. They had good options on their menu. I had a fruit bowl and ham and cheese croissant. Both good ans the french vanilla coffee was also delicious. Really cute place and right across from a park which is a nice walk. Service was good too. Seating inside is limited most of it was outside which has a nice view of the park. read more

Cafe toscana had pretty good cappuccinos and sorbet, but was a bit expensive for what we ordered and received. It's quite pretty and is right next to the park, so the indoor outdoor nature of the restaurant is quite nice. The service was friendly as well. It was all good, but nothing particularly worth going back to. read more

Loved everything about this spot. We actually stayed at their upstairs from Airbnb & the entrance is thru the restaurant. Came to have dinner/ breakfast & everything & everyone was so accommodating & great service! They do get busy so sometimes we did do take out. It's a small spot but very accommodating for us being a party of 8. There's usually music around & the setting was very pleasing, definitely recommend stopping by here read more

They have limited vegetarian entrees. I am not a huge fan of mushrooms so I wasn't the biggest fan of the sandwich, but it was filling. The potatoes were missing salt and pepper in my opinion. I wish I could select 0 stars. The menu is pretty common, several restaurants at Condesa serve the catch of the day , the Salmon with Risoto, pizza and the bar and cocktails are very common. They are getting a bad review for the super bad customer service. They offer us a table that is on top of a sewer. And had a reserved sign to avoid sitting customers. Regardless they gave us that table , we ordered drinks and the smell was really bad. We got our drinks and I told my daughter that the odor was very unpleasant and my mother and I were nauseous. We asked to move to another table, the hostess refused despite there was an available table...My daughter asked them to reconsider but the hostess response was "if you don't like it you may leave " as soon as my daughter came to the table the waiter was behind her with the check. I can't believe they were that rude. Horrible service ...Having so many restaurants on every block on La Condesa no reason for you to visit that place. read more

Ósea pregunto yo que restaurante en el mundo no tiene para servir almuerzo a plena hora de almuerzo. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE NOT MEXICAN! It was very apparent we were given poor service because we are American- even though I speak Spanish, ordered in Spanish and read from the Spanish menu, we were treated so poorly. It took over an hour for us to get our food. Each person on each side of us arrived AFTER us, received their food, paid and LEFT by the time we received our meal. Do not by any means go to this restaurant. Take your hard-earned money to people who actually want it. I have never been treated so horribly by any dining experience domestic or abroad. By the way- there was no apology or amount taken off our bill due to our horrendous service and wait time for a crepe or burger. Neither take 60-75 minutes to prepare. read more

Location great but restaurant truly not good. Ordered two crepes and neither had what we ordered inside. One had some kind of cheese instead of whipped cream and the other was Nutella instead of caramel. And the crepes were just bad. It says here that is opens at 7am. It does not, it supposedly opens at 8 Mexican time which means they do not open at 8am really either. I've been here many times. i love their food but i hate their service.Its very slow. They also cater to white American males first. I am from the US but not white. Its called "malinchismo". It just happened to me. I got there at about 8:05 thinking it was open but it wasn't. Finally at 8:20 and just about when a very white American guy walked in a lady comes from the back to make us our coffee he gets served first, even though i was there first 20 mins before him. Rally good spot for breakfast and hanging out. Really good food I had green chilaquiles with and egg on top. For drinks I had freshly squeezed OJ and a latte. Overall it was pretty good the waiter was real attentive to all the tables and polite to my friend that didn't speak Spanish. It's a nice place with light options like salads and sandwiches, but it is awkwardly shaped so it's uncomfortable to sit inside. The coffee is nice and so is the tea. The hot chocolate is very unique and there are many options, but all of the warm beverages are overpriced for what you receive. The food options are also fine but nothing special. There was only one waitress working at the restaurant, and there were about 12 tables. She was nice but there was too much work for her, so it took a long time to get anything. read more

Stumbled in here looking for a bite to eat. Came in around 1 pm and they had stopped serving breakfast...okay, so we got coffee, tea, turkey crepe and a turkey panini. They were tiny portions. The waitresses were not attentive. Staff behind the counter were loud and giggling half the time. Manager was in the cafe and hogging the only wall with all the power outlets so we couldn't even charge our devices. We had to ask for the check twice and when she finally came by she said they don't accept cards? Why the hell not? You're in the middle of Mexico city and in a central location.. Get a terminal!
