4.5 Stars. The atmosphere and service is definitely a 5/5. I struck out with the drinks I ordered. Both drinks I ordered were very small and didn't seem worth 12-14 pounds. This is a cool place! Total step back in time! The drinks are creative, strong, and presented beautifully. It takes a while to read through the newspaper full of drink options, but that's part of the experience. I've been on a weekday and a weekend, and I largely prefer the former. On the weekend you're limited to an hour stay. It takes the bartenders about 15 min to make each drink (because they are soo elaborate), so unfortunately an hour is up pretty quickly. The music selection is stellar-new songs remade to fit the era the bar is themed in. On the weekends it's turned up extra loud and it really is hard to hold a conversation. During the week it's a perfect volume for enjoying the tunes and your guests. The menu of small plates is just okay-I certainly wouldn't come here hungry or expecting to eat. Even with with those very minor things, this place is an absolute must see! The waitstaff does a great job of staying in character. It was a very cute speakeasy, but I probably wouldn't come back. There are so many drinks on the menu, but they seemed very repetitive. Out of the six we tried, nothing was outstanding. Their take on an old fashioned was pretty good, but I've had much better elsewhere. I loved the decor and our waiter was knowledgeable. Such a fun bar and just a great experience! Kind of hard to find as it's not really in Kingly Court but once you find it, definitely go for a drink. I came by with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and we didn't make reservations but were able to secure two seats at the bar. The cocktails were so good (obviously expensive but that's what you get for a trendy bar in Soho) so definitely come for at least one! Great speakeasy bar hidden in the heart of London. The drinks were well crafted and delicious. The vibe was very cool with more 1930s to 1940s era. There was a small wait to get in which you appreciate because they never let it get over crowded. This place had some of our favorite drinks over on our trip to London. The only way to figure out where this place is located is follow directions and look for the line. No name out front in true speakeasy fashion. read more

Set during the blitz, this place hasn't missed a trick. Incredible selection of cocktails - even the menu and the cocktails are replica and interesting. Plus who can beat sitting in an underground train carriage whilst having an old school cocktail?! Location is great too and it even feels quite discrete upon entering. We stumbled across Cahoots on a quiet Sunday night, and it was such a fun surprise. We didn't know anything about the bar, so when we arrived the whole atmosphere was a fun surprise. I was only with a friend, but it would have been difficult to get a table if there had been more of us. They take reservations, so definitely make one if you are planning to go! There was a great live performer who played the piano and sang the night we were there, but we asked and that doesn't happen every night (highly recommend going when there is live music though). We had a few really nice bourbon drinks, and you could tell the bartenders knew cocktails well and enjoyed their job. Drinks were on the pricier side, but totally worth it for a unique night out! This might just be my new favorite bar. If you took a tiki bar and changed the island theme to an old school tube station you would get Cahoots. The attention to detail on the memorabilia and overall design are impressive and fun. Felt like something you'd come across at Disneyland or a movie set. From the ticket booth attendant, to sitting in an old coach, to the swinging live music, to the GREAT cocktails what's not to love? The boulevardier was a crowd favorite and and the mixologists know their stuff. Drinks of this nature take time and aren't cheap but it can be well worth it. read more

This is officially my new favourite cocktail place in London! In Carnaby street is a hidden tube station/cocktail in the midst of all the foodie lovers square of Kingley court. Even on a busy Friday evening we only waited 10min to get in without reservation! You get taken down a flight of stairs to greet the ticket officer to put down your stuff, then through the station door is a rustic bar full of pretty vintage decor. It's a very decent size bar with a cozy area at the back that looks like a old tube carriage. There's a lot to choose from the Cahoot newspaper menu but my favourite of the night was the Cuban top, which is like a sweet Pina cola like cocktail that comes in a tall glass mill bottle with pineapple and melted chocolate. With the two of us we were able to drink 3 tea cup amounts each from that one milk bottle so it's a bargain! The earl grey cocktail was so fresh and refreshing as well called Katherine Hepburn. Thinking of doing a birthday event there next time! read more

Cahoots is a fabulous forties themed bar which is definitely worth a visit! Right from the beginning where the doorman/station attendant greets you in full character and costume, you're transported to another world! The décor is wonderful, the atmosphere is buzzing and above all, the cocktails are delicious! My favourite was the Lemon Milk bottle sharing cocktail - absolutely divine! My only criticism was that the music was a tad too loud and I would have preferred the actual music of the period and not a modern day mix, but hey, that's just me! I had to book 2 months in advance for a Friday evening so definitely book ahead. read more

Like an adventure land! The theme is extremely well done. I highly recommend making a reservation. You can stand if you don't but you'll want to stay awhile if your group is any larger than two. Dressing up in time period appropriate clothing is optional but encouraged. Get ready for a true and delightful step back in time! There is also coat and bag check if you need it. read more

Managed to snag a booking at the highly sought after, Cahoots! Sticking to the theme, we weren't let in until we spoke the secret password. Everyone working there stayed true to character which really made it such a unique experience. The staff outfits & bar interior is superb, with such a great attention to detail. Gorgeous interior to this bar! Such a lovely atmosphere and great music and the theme ran smoothly throughout. The menu was very extensive and beautifully done and the drinks that I tried were delicious. However, I didn't order many drinks as I found the amount of the drink I actually ordered was quite expensive for how much was in the glass! That was the only downside. I would still go back though simply for the fun vibe. read more

This all encompassing 40's experience is an absolute must. The staff are all in character and the service exceptional. The themed cocktails are all delicious and between us we tried plenty! Fun tube themed bar that offers something a little bit different compared to the usual chains and tourist traps in Carnaby Street/Piccadilly. To get you into the spirit there is a code/acting part at the beginning which I found a bit silly but others seemed to love. Once down there you are given menus in the style of old-time newspapers and the servers are very sweet and enthusiastic. Loved my pea based cocktails and the live music was an added bonus. Recommend for a small group of friends gathering or a date. read more

Great spot for a unique night and to change up the normal bar scene. They take reservations or you can chance walking right in. Our group of 3 walked right in at 10:30pm on a Saturday without a reservation. Look out for the "To The Trains" sign and walk down the stairs to the coat check masked as a ticket booth. Pick up a newspaper menu full of unique, tasty (and reasonably priced, I might add), well decked out cocktails. They also have plain spirits and beer if the sugar rush from the cocktails becomes too much. The place is decked out in (unofficial) 40's attire from the room decor to the staff's clothing. The staff members play in character and are incredibly polite. The DJ mixes old songs with modern sounds to continue the theme but keep your interest. Many guests dress up from hair to shoes, so don't feel weird turning your night into a costume party with friends. It's nice to have a fun cocktail bar to go to that doesn't have a ridiculous membership fees, insane drink prices or the snotty crowd that usually comes with the territory. read more

The cocktails were really tasty, good quality ingredients and the menu offered lots of choices. There was a good atmosphere and it was quite cool drinking in an old tube station. There was a also a live singer and pianist when we were there (Sunday night) which really added to the whole experience. read more
