I encountered the same situation with Cain & Daniels as most people. They contacted me and represented themselves as being associated with a company I was disputing billing issues with. I received emails listing both Cain & Daniels along with the other agency I had been dealing with making it appear they were affiliated. Cain & Daniels stated as they were affiliated they could work a settlement for me I agreed to work with them. Upon reaching a settlement, I was told by Cain & Daniels to pay 1000.00 to them and that would cover the 1 st two installments of my settlement amount. When I was contacted regarding payment for the balance due I discovered that Cain & Daniels did not apply the 1000.00 payment to my settlement payoff, they had retained 500.00 of the payment to compensate themselves. I have requested several times that the 500.00 be returned to myself or posted to the settlement of my debt as it should have been originally. I have been repeatedly denied so far. read more

Someone names Barry Edmunds has been calling our office claiming he needs to speak to someone asap regarding a lawsuit that we have on-going. #1 The company he stated we own money to is a lie. Even forwarded his threatening voice message to the supplier and they laughed. Our account is in good standing. If these people call you don't waste your time. Writing this to hopefully warn others. i cannot stress enough to stay far away from these guys...they misrepresent themselves as attorneys, they are completely dishonest, and frankly they are thieves...Lora, Kolodner and co should be locked up for their misrepresentation. they lie to get business and then once they have hold of your money, you can kiss it goodbye..... please just negotiate yourself...no one needs these thieves to get a deal, because very few people in the industry will deal with them.....PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM...you can get a better arrangement on your own than having these clowns steal your money! read more

I'm reading through these negative reviews and it seems that only one person was an actual client of Cain & Daniels, and he clearly didn't read the contract before signing it. This is the only settlement firm I have seen that doesn't charge anything out of pocket, their fee is included in the settlement at 60% unless authorized otherwise. Houston Gates initially reached out to me and ever since then I have had many cases settled and will continue to send them over before I pay an attorney. 10/10 would highly recommend. read more

These reviews are very misleading, more than half of them are coming from people who didn't even use the service. I have had no issues with Cain and Daniels as I have been their client for years. I'll call them before I call an attorney. They don't charge anything out of pocket to take the case and they settle it for almost half, or if I'm short on cash they just get me payment terms on whatever I have outstanding. Cain & Daniels successfully settled a small claim against an S corp I own for materials received that were inadequate. Instead of fighting with the vendor's attorney in court I was able to just get the case settled pre legal with their help and I ended up paying close to 40% of the amount they claimed I owed - which was much more in line with the value of the product I received. read more
