It's a gym. It checks the block. But don't go here. You have to sign a contract and if you want out of that contract, they stipulate you pay hundreds of dollars to escape. Great gym for locals. And if your visiting just make sure you get there before 8pm. $10 charge to use it all night, but if you leave you need to get someone's attention to let you in. Good machines and very heavy Dumbbells which is a plus. the machines are a bit old but definitely a place for a true gym rat to go early in the morning or late at night this place doesn't look like it gets too busy so great for super setting. Be very very careful before signing a contract with these clowns. 1) Their 1 year contact automatically renews at the end of the period. You have like a three day window to cancel at the end. 2) They keep you credit/debit card numbers on file after you cancel. They came back about a year later and started charging our card after they thought my son (not living with us... as if it mattered) owed them money. When I confronted them, they refused to reverse the charges. Ultimately I had to go to the bank and dispute the charges to get refunded the fraudulent charges. The bank manager told me that this was an ongoing issue with Cajun Fitness with many of their customers. read more

Mediocre. The bad part was, after I canceled it (after the one year contract), they continued to draft out of my bank account. I notified them and the refused to stop. I had to go to the bank ad do reverse charges then ultimately had to change my bank account number, because they would not stop. read more

Read your Contract...The consumer gets burned here! I got nailed paying for 4 months worth ($250+) of dues I could not use. I was a member for 2 years. Never late with payments, several smoothie purchases...I was a good client. My wife and I decided to change gyms when my girls became interested in athletics and swimming. There are no facilities or programs for young folks here. I informed the front desk of my departure and reasons. They completely understood and wished us well...and then dropped the bomb. I would owe for an additional 4 months. You see, they automatically renew the 1 year contract. If you do not give at least 30 days written notice prior to the renewal date you could owe up to 12 months of dues. I know most people do not quit the month of their renewal date...further, this is not standard practice for the gyms in our area. Further, the floor space is so crowded with gear that it is like an obstacle course to get from one machine to the next. The trainers do not help unless you pay. The staff changes monthly. I am disgruntled and wrote this with prejudice. However, keep track of your dates folks. Other gyms within 10 minutes offer much better facilities for the entire family and are better run, and do not have sneaky business practices. Everyone quits at some point.
