    Cute lil fella!

Brought friends from California to this great place! The entire staff is amazing. Everything went smoothly: from booking, & making purchases in the gift shop, to the knowledgeable captain. Terrific experience! Just GEAUX! You will not be disappointed!

Dustin was an amazing driver/guide! He made sure both sides of the boat saw the gators and hogs ( etc) ... there was lots to see and we had a blast! I would totally do this again!!!

This was by far one of the best tours I've been in. Our tour guide was Dustin, and he was the best. The whole ride was entertaining and exciting. Would definitely recommend.

Captain Dustin was great! Got to see boars, raccoons, all sizes of gators and countless birds. The scenery was beautiful and I learned a new way to call my grandkids

We went on a field trip today with our homeschool co-op, and although I'm a local with a camp nearby, I was genuinely impressed by how much I enjoyed this swamp tour--it's not just for tourists! Captain Danny was a fantastic guide--fun, engaging, and full of interesting facts about the area's wildlife and history. Even as someone from Louisiana, I learned a few new things! The kids had an amazing time holding a baby alligator, seeing different types of turtles up close, and tossing food to the gators. We also saw raccoons, a rare black squirrel, wild hogs, and even two old grave sites with some fascinating backstories. It was a perfect blend of education and adventure. If you're visiting Louisiana and want an authentic, family-friendly experience, this tour is definitely worth your time. It's a fun and unique way to explore the natural beauty and culture of the area--and a great outing for kids and adults alike!

I've taken a group of students to Cajun for years. Every tour guide is a hit, you get up close and personal, and their welcome center is full of fun things to see while you wait. I can't express enough how great they

What a fantastic tour with great guides. Beautiful scenery with entertaining tour information. Was also a great educational experience learning so much about the plants, animals, and culture. Boats are comfortable and you can even feel safe standing and moving around to see the many alligators and their one very special croc! Maybe you'll even get to hold an alligator like I did!

I was told you probably won't see any alligators in December so I had no expectations. To everyone's delight we saw 4 small alligators. The big ones are already hibernating. We also saw wild pigs, raccoons, birds, and a black squirrel. I learned that the swamp is the water and bayou is referring to the land around the swamp. Caption Danny passed around two tiny turtles for us to see in their enclosures. He also passes around a baby alligator for us to hold and take pictures with. That was a total surprise. I highly recommend this tour to others. The tour takes place in a flat bottom boat and doesn't rock at all so I didn't get motion sickness. There is also a roof overhead to keep the wind and sun out. It was in the 50's today and it wasn't that chilly. I also had on a beanie, sweater and jacket so I was dressed for the weather, but I thought it would be cooler on the water but it wasn't.

Fun experience. We really enjoyed it. We got to see hogs, raccoons, gators, turtles and birds.

Captain Dustin was awesome. Hand fed raccoons and alligators. Great sense of humor and great driving skills. Also saw blue heron , turtles, and wild boars.

Excellent experience. Captain Tom was great. It was a rainy day but he tried his best to show us as much wildlife and swamp as possible. He had great storytelling skills. We saw gators, pigs, and raccoons. We went with little ones and it was just right for them and adults

I loved this place. It was so fun. The boat captain was so knowledgeable and funny! The staff was approachable and friendly. The value for the tour was great! I had a blast

Dustin was our guide. There was a last minute change for guides and im super happy we ended up with him. He went the extra mile to bring the wild life out. With a nice little gator show to end our trip! My 4 boys (aged 5-12) loved it. Fun for all ages. And yes! He brought out a baby gator for everyone to hold.

We meet up at the Voodoo Lounge, where there is a ticket office in the back room. We didn't live the bar--smelled a little bit like a sewer and the hurricanes were super sweet and kind of weak. But we did have but one get one, so wasn't that upset. The tour was great. We saw some interesting, haunted places and heard the history behind them. We didn't linger too long at any one place. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny, although he may have been a tad bit too heavy on the Catholic Church jokes. The tour ended at the LaLaurie house, and our guide shared a story about a little girl on who was recently on his tour who started crying and asked why there were dead people on the balcony. Spooky! I was so intrigued by what he said that I started looking up stories about Delphine LaLaurie and the haunting of the house. When I got home, I even started watching season 3 of American Horror Story, which has the character Delphine LaLaurie (accurate? No. Fun? Yes!). This was a fun way to spend the evening. There was an obnoxiously drunk guy on our tour, and our guide handled him well.

She came across like an overly dramatic theater kid who couldn't dial it back. Her mannerisms and constant theatrics were cringey, and while maybe one or two stories had potential, the delivery completely ruined them. She would randomly go off on personal tangents (where she lives, her parents, and other irrelevant details) that had absolutely nothing to do with ghosts or vampires and added nothing to the experience. The worst part was her points system, where she'd give out points if people followed instructions or answered questions. For example, when we stayed on the sidewalk instead of walking in the street, she'd shout "10 points!" and point at each person while repeating it. It wasn't quirky or fun, it was just annoying. I wouldn't recommend this tour based on her alone. After our awful experience we tried another company called Nola Ghost Riders and I'd highly recommend them. They are located at the Voodoo Lounge off Decatur St, while French Quarter Phantoms is at Voodoo Lounge off Rampart St.

Date of tour: December 21, 2024…read more After a wonderful food tour in Prague last year, we wanted to replicate the magic stateside while visiting New Orleans, a city with a rich food history and scene. As requested, I will keep the individual location names secret as to not spoil your potential food tour but also because the stops can change and I don't want to have you disappointed if you don't get the same places on your tour. Ty was a great guide, providing us with local history and culture as we ate our way down Magazine Street. The only complaint I have is that they didn't really interact with us during the food portions, standing or sitting off to the side, or running to the next location to make sure we were all set. To me, the guide should be not only the bridge between the locations and food with us, but also a bridge between the different groups on the tour. Ty told us before the tour started that the other folks joining us were from Michigan, but we found out from them later that they were actually from New York. Had these connections been made earlier, it would have enhanced the tour. On to the food, wonderful that it all was! Please note that I may make some errors in the actual names of the food, while I took pictures, I did not write down the names and there wasn't a post-tour recap to assist me! Stop #1: A local sandwich and a seafood side. Both quite good, especially since I don't like olives! Stop #2: An unusual meat that was shockingly good! Stop #3: Seafood options. I've had a different version of one of these items in Asheville, NC. This wasn't quite as good but still tasty. Stop #4: Southern favorites that were so good! I didn't think I would like these but I did. Stop #5: A peppermint fudge cupcake. Sadly, the weakest stop on the tour. Other that tried the gelato came away disappointed and my cupcake was neither overly fudgey or pepperminty. It looked pretty, though!

This is a small group experience, which is why I wanted to do this one. We met at the Tableau Restaurant and were offered the choice of an aperol spritz or a French 75. We chose the spritz. We were told some history and ghost lore before going up to the wine room for some more stories. Very cool. They showed us video of a ghostly incident that had occurred there before. Next we walked down the street where we were told about the haunting at Muriel's Restaurant, where they also set a ghost table. Our last stop was at a psychic shop where we did a tarot card reading and we're given a Pan Am cocktail. I highly recommend this tour. It's unique and you get a little bit of all the good things you come to New Orleans for.

It's entertaining and fun! It was raining when we arrived but they had raincoats for everyone and as soon as the threat of getting hit by a bolt of lightening passed off we went. The boats here are covered so getting beat down by the sun is not too much of an issue. Like I said it was raining when we went so the covered top protected us from getting drenched as well. We saw some gators almost immediately and that was pretty cool. They are almost tame out here and come to the boat when called to get a treat. We also enjoyed seeing lots of egrets and various other birds, a few racoons and lots of spiders and dragonflies. Our tour guide was very knowable and made a few corny jokes that the tourists and kids loved. We learned a lot about the ecosystem of the area. The tour lasted about 2 hours and was a great way to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend this tour! Tip-sit in the middle if possible. The rooms are spacious so that parents can help their young children. There two sets of washers and dryers in that same centrally located building for the front campground. The rear campground has their own building with restrooms and showers. The dump station has a hand soap dispenser which is the first time I've seen that at a public campground. I camped in slip #26 which is located at the end of the row and has partial shade over half the slip all day long. The end of the row is next to the park boundary and on the other side is an old cemetery which makes for a quiet area buffer from any residences. After my first weekend, almost everyone else checked out and I had my row to myself. Located within the park is the historical Old Mill House Museum but tours were not available (mid June 2023) as they were currently doing repair work. There is a swamp trail boardwalk available for walking/hiking with periodic benches and a river view at one point. They have provided playground equipment and swings for the children. There are about 80 RV slips and all have water and power hook ups. There a half dozen or so with sewer hook ups. There is also a large tent camping area with no power hook ups. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within just a few miles of the park in both Madisonville and Mandeville.
