Cute bakery with reasonable prices! I love anything ube and got an assortment of goodies to try with friends: - Ube and cheese pandesal - I don't know if I'm getting any ube flavoring in the bread - Black sesame cupcake - not bad! Did give cookies and cream vibe with the black and white appearance - Pandan coconut cupcake - pandan is subtle, so tastes more like coconut - Calamansi bar - one of the top winners of the bunch. Super citrus-y and tart which we loved - Mamon - super light and fluffy like a chiffon cake - Ube pistachio sylvanna - super interesting texture! Never had anything like it and it does grow on you - Ube brownie - slightly dense for me, but great Staff was welcoming and friendly! Would definitely visit again. read more

I heard about this bakery and followed them on Instagram for a while so I went in to request a smash cake for my daughter's 1st birthday. They have a purple Ube cake that would match the theme perfectly. Before I could get any details out or speak to the baker, they told me I needed to go online to submit a custom order. The cashier told me the smash cake would be a 4" cake and that in order for them (the bakers) to make it, I would also have to order cupcakes too. Online "All Custom orders start at $200 regardless of the size of the order." Plus the cost of cupcakes? The Ube cake is a 6" for $60 and a single cupcake was around $5? I'm all for supporting local and supporting Filipino businesses. I took the time to visit in person but it seemed very unprofessional that not one of the bakers (even seeing me as I was talking with the cashier) came to discuss the details of the order with me in person, what justifies the 3x charge for a custom order for a smaller cake and cupcakes (that I don't need). read more

I've been following Cakeheads for years, love their photos on social media, and was excited to finally have a reason to pop in and order a cake. Welp- this was a less than desirable experience. Upon entering, I was asked what I'm here for. I responded by saying I'm looking for ordering a cake- a birthday cake. The team immediately jumped to say they are not taking any more orders- and that they cannot accommodate. Okay.... I pointed to the bakery case- what about these cakes here? Are they for display or for sale? They replied that they have cakes available everyday. I asked about what flavors they had; I was personally really interested in Ube and Pandan, since they're a Filipino bakery. The staff started to point to cakes on the bottom shelf, very back- like, this was at knee height, so I honestly couldn't tell which cake she was pointing to. When asked if I could buy a sample to better understand what flavors- they accosted me by saying the cupcake flavors do not taste the same as the big cakes. When I asked if I can come in Sunday for a cake, they replied they're closed; but when I asked about Saturday, they seemed bothered that I'd want to come in the day before. Ugh- I tried so hard to work with them. And I really, really went out to try and support small AAPI businesses, but this was just a terrible customer experience. Overall- I felt condescended for not knowing what flavors are available, not knowing how they cakes taste, and that my visit was huge inconvenience to the couple. read more

Been wanting to try their goodies but haven't made it to the storefront yet. I am never able to make it early enough before they run low so I'm waiting. To my delight they catered desserts at the event I attended and I finally got to try the yummy desserts. I selected a chocolate eclair, an ube bar and a what-I-think is strawberry cake. All of the desserts I selected were delicious. Little bite sized pieces of goodness. Someone told me the brownie was yummy! And they even looked pretty. Good dessert options. read more

Over the past few years I have purchased from Cakeheads and been more than satisfied. My last experience however. left a bitter taste in my mouth. I ordered a cake on a Tuesday for pick-up on Thursday or Friday. (Website says must have 24 hr. notice, this was well within that time frame). I asked for a small passion-fruit cake (6-8 servings) with a different design, which I knew would be considered a semi-custom and result in some price increase. The signature cake which I paid $60 for in the past now became $125. That is more than 100 per cent increase. Seriously!?! Talk about sticker shock! I left feeling very taken advantage of. Kudos, however, to Denise, the person that waited on me. She was extremely polite and helpful, and a pleasure to engage with. read more

Love your cakes but not your Saturday hours. Please fix your Saturday hours on Apple Maps/Google Maps, it says you're open till 3pm, and I discovered you're only open until 2pm. Very disappointed. read more

I contacted Cakeheads a week before my wife's birthday to inquire about getting a dozen cupcakes ordered to help with the celebration. I received an e-mail just a few hours after my inquiry giving me details on how to order, prices, varieties available, etc. I got a very good feeling from the friendliness and professionalism of the response, and I was looking forward to doing business with them. I went ahead and ordered the dozen cupcakes my wife and I agreed on, and was able to make payment very easily and quickly online. The afternoon of my wife's birthday, we went to the bakery to pick up our dozen cupcakes, and all I can say is WOW! As you can see in the picture, they are amazing to look at. And as far as eating, they were AMAZING. They were extremely fresh, and the flavors were spectacular. My wife and I travel once a year to Oklahoma City just to go to Pinkitzel for cupcakes (if you know, you know). And honestly Cakeheads was much better. Needless to say, my wife had a great birthday, and we were both thrilled with Cakeheads. What a find! read more

I called in advance for gluten free options. They have gluten free cupcakes ready for decorating. They also have French Macarons ready for pickup. I stopped by after work. It only took them a few minutes to decorate the cupcakes. I was impressed with the customer service and the product was a huge success. Thank you for being so awesome. read more

For starters... my cake was excellent BUT not what was ordered. My daughter treated me to a custom cake for my birthday. I ordered a vanilla cake with coconut flakes and lemon curd. IF the coconut was there it went unnoticed... what was for sure was missing with the lemon curd. My daughter went into the location to tell them and was told by the baker SHE had personally made the cake and it was there then wanted to view the cake. At first we were like.... Ok... then was actually shocked this was the response. We were (yes were) frequent customers. This was our 3rd cake of the year which is saying a lot with the cost of such cakes. Hey! Everyone makes mistakes, own it and move on. A discount on a future purchase, cookie... anything! Instead we were blown off. We will not be back. read more

We ordered a 2 tiered cake for our anniversary party and not only was it beautiful it was delicious. The white cake had the mango butter cream which was amazing and the chocolate cake with the chocolate butter cream was just as good. I called to try and place an order for a gluten free cake because my 3 year old has celiac disease. They told me I had to place the order online and I explained they don't have gluten free as an option on the website. They told me to put it on the notes. My Mom picked the cake up and I asked if she confirmed in person the cake was gluten free and she did not. Something told me to call and confirm and they informed me the cake was not gluten free and they missed the note. They offered an additional gluten free cake to make up for it. When my girlfriend picked it up they said I should've called to place the order, which was funny because I did try that. I called the next day and expressed my frustration and asked for a refund. They did just call me back and told me they would refund while I was typing this post. So I increased my rating from 1 to 3. Thank God something told me to call and confirm. read more

It was such a great experience working with Saija. I sent an email through the website and she got back to me right away! I detailed out what I wanted by email and It turned out perfect and was ready in 2 days. The best part was the taste! I ordered white cake with strawberry cream inside. Me and my husband ate a slice a night till we finished it all. It was so delicious! They also have an assortment of cupcakes and desserts in store, smelt amazing when I picked up the cake. This bakery does really fantastic work, visually. From what I've tried their food is fresh but way overpriced. I've had both cookies and cake here. Custom cake was beautiful, finished on time, and was what I ordered. Prices have risen over the last year and if you're ordering any kind of cake prepared to spend at least $100 to get what you want, and more like $200 if you're wanting detailed custom. Some, but not all, of the staff are friendly and have good customer service. I do recommend it if it's in your budget. read more

I am here from Georgia for business. Saw this business and thought hmmmm, let me try this out. When I say disgusting..... I could not believe what I was eating. The cookies were stale, dry, brittle and tasted like crunchy bland dough. The red velvet cupcake was the nastiest that I have ever experienced in my LIFE!!! It didn't even taste like red velvet. I took the icing off which was not good and tried to weather the cupcake. The taste was soooo repulsive, I had to spit it out!!! I cannot speak to the quality of the cakes, but the service, photos, design, and overall experience working with Cakeheads was five stars! When my friend and colleague shared the bittersweet news that she was resigning, I knew I wanted to do something special for her, but with Covid and being so far away, I needed to be creative... I found Cakeheads during a quick search on Yelp and was pleased to see that they were in delivering distance of Cassie's home. I called them to brainstorm ideas... One quick call and the perfect cake was born! I didn't capture a photo, but it was a 6" Round vanilla cake with their signature raspberry passion filling. The decorator worked with me and did a very custom decoration on both sides of the cake along with a message on top. It was perfect... thanks again for everything, Cakeheads! I ordered a 16th birthday cake for my family member and gave kind of a general description of what I was looking for. I provided an inspiration photo and they got to work. The process of ordering was very easy and I was able to pay the invoice online. Fast forward to when I picked the cake up.... I was absolutely floored by how GORGEOUS this cake was!! It was everything I wanted and more. The recipient was beside herself with excitement. Everybody raved about not only how beautiful the cake was, but also how great it tasted. Ordered our daughter's 2nd year birthday cakes here~ had our first and it was amazing!! The order form is so easy and caters to you putting down all your ideas easily. Customer service is great/easy, and they are so quick to respond. The cake is also very delicious- moist and not too sweet, which is perfect for us. We had the almond cake with ube filling, and vanilla buttercream. Loved the detail of her galaxy themed cake! They incorporated everything that I wanted (Color, ursa major/minor constellations, stars, moons). My family has now ordered a full calendar year of birthday cakes, and my graduation cake, from Cakeheads Bakery. We keep coming back because of their delicious and beautifully decorated cakes. However, I do want to highlight a specific event in which I was completely impressed with Cakeheads. Early this March we went in and saw a design in the case that we wanted to incorporate for my mother's birthday cake. Everything was great until the scheduled pickup date.. I went in and asked for my cake and when they brought it out I noticed it was not like the design that we had asked for. I communicated this to staff and they quickly apologized and gave me the option to have them redo the cake in 30 MINUTES! I said yes and went to run more errands. Within 15 minutes I received a call that it was ready to be picked up and even the owner came in to apologize. Some constructive criticism that I had about the situation: While I was impressed with how fast the situation was handled, I don't believe that it is appropriate to place blame on new employees-you are all a team :) On a positive note, the Cakeheads staff has had good customer service and knows how to make some really great cakes. Yes, they are a little pricey.. but you get what you pay for. Now off to order my next cake! read more

COMPLETE ROBBERY! I am soooo heartbroken that the go to bakery would charge me over $200 for this cake! It was a small 6inch cake and when I asked for a refund they didn't want to help a loyal customer at all. But only offer a $100 credit knowing I will NOT be back. I have spent ALOT of money at this bakery and they don't care. I highly suggest you don't waste your money here. They will rip you off and over charge you! You can see figure prints and just how blank they left the back of the cake! It was also super small. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAKERY THEY WILL ROB YOU! read more

Last I looked these cakes were ridiculously expensive. Also, the one small one I bought was much prettier than it was tasty. The thick layer of decorator's icing was really nasty. We all scraped it off instead of eating it. If you don't care what the cake tastes like, or costs, as long as it's gorgeous to look at, then Cakeheads is the place for you. Otherwise, stop in at Tony's. They have very attractively decorated cakes that are delicious and won't even come close to breaking the bank. read more

I'm not much of a dessert person, besides being a sucker for ice cream. However, when it's your birthday, people tend to celebrate with cake. My husband picked up a couple of cupcakes for my birthday from this bakery. They were reasonably priced ($6 for 2) and had a great flavor. Though dense, my almond cupcake with toasted coconut had a great flavor and was moist and decadent. The frosting was a bit too sweet for my liking but was very tasty. My husband's cookies and cream cupcake was moist, a chocolate lover's dream come true with a tremendous tasting frosting. I would definitely go back to check out the different flavors and maybe find one with less frosting. read more

This place has the WORST customer service. I came in to check out in person because it close to my home and wanted to see in person the baked goods. The person there was rude and not very helpful. She was in a rush to get me out of there, kept asking if I wanted anything else. She was rushing me and was acting as if I was wasting her time. Very rude, got them a bad review and lost a potential customer. read more

My friend and I came here around the holidays after eating lunch at a nearby restaurant and wanting something sweet, as well as to check it out, as neither of us had ever been. Honestly, this part of Centennial needed a place like this and it's a great addition! They have a huge variety of cupcakes and other individually-sized sweets displayed in their glass cases, as well as packaged cookies that they make. I bought a small package of gingerbread cookies, which were fresh, clearly made from scratch, and absolutely delicious with just the right amount of molasses taste. My friend is half Jewish and excitedly bought some Hannukah-themed cookies to bring home to her family. We both noted how awesome it is that they have Hannukah-related baked goods in a sea of stores that usually only have Christmas-y sweets. Their specialty is clearly custom cakes, however, as we discovered while paging through the binders displaying cake ideas and their past work. Talk about creative, imaginative, intricate cakes! I don't have any occasions at the moment where I would need such a fancy cake, but I would definitely consider Cakeheads for the future - and if I have another cookie craving. read more

First, let me preface this with.... I love cake :) I went in very optimistic and purchased a Cookies & Cream cake. $40...eek A little steep but worth it, hopefully? Later that night we cut the cake with a few friends. YUCK!!! It tasted like 5lbs of sugar with a tad of chocolate flavoring. Out of six people, not one person even ate half a slice. Seriously disappointed. Don't waste your money or the calories. Oh and the staff was rude. News flash- customer service and genuine kindness goes A LONG WAY!!! I most definitely won't be returning. In response to Brad I said we would be willing to try the cupcakes because the cake was so horrible. Maybe someone new on staff did not get the correct measurements of ingredients because it was really disgusting. You were very rude to me on the phone. It's nice to be nice. Take a deep breath and put yourself in the customers shoes. read more
