SUMMARY OF DETAILS BELOW: STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. They do not act in the best interest of their clients! My parents made the mistake of going to Shahin Setayeshgar, at the beginning of March, to file their taxes. They provided her with the IRS EIP document and mentioned to Shahin that they did not receive the credit. Instead of Shahin filing a Recovery Rebate Credit, which would have made her MAIL in the taxes, she decided to select they did receive the credit so that she can continue with e-filing, to her benefit, and not her client's. When I asked her why she did not MAIL the forms in, she said it takes 3 weeks for the IRS to receive the taxes, which would then be considered late - WHICH IS NOT TRUE. As long as the postal stamp is dated before April 18th, the taxes would not have been considered late. When I asked her why the documents were not mailed for the second time, she said she no longer wanted to talk to me and called in her next client. Now, we have to figure out how to go about amending their taxes. I will make sure we report this firm (using form 14157), as they do not work in their client's best interest, but in what is convenient for them. read more

Shahin, the owner is so sweet and kind, and made the process flawless even though my wife's hands were not capturing. We had so much fun talking for 30 min after about her family and mine and it was such a wonderful family feel. A friend introduced Ms. Shahin Koohkan to me and that is how I ended up calling into this tax company and driving almost 40 minutes to meet her. I have met a couple of nice and helpful tax assistants within the last 10 years. This year my tax situation was a little bit complicated, I purchased a home recently and had no idea how to deal with home related tax form and also my husband has lived and worked in another state all year long due to his job situation. Unfortunately Ms. Koohkan was not nice at all and was not willing to help. She mentioned my tax will takes longer and she has another customer right after me. I was even ok to pay more if timing was the case. She started asking questions like why you made appointment with me not with your last year tax preparer? My answer was because I was not very happy with what he did, i had a hard time getting my tax return and it took longer due to a typo mistake he made. Her answer was "since your paperworks takes long time your previous assistant was frustrated and you probably paid him less than what he deserved so you better go back to him and ask him to get your tax done"! She even had no idea about my previous experience. She asked why my husband is not living here with me! What kind of marriage is it?! She told me my marriage is illegal since my husband lives in a different state and she is not comfortable helping me getting illegal married filling jointly tax done!!! I was shocked hearing all her words. She was so rude, not nice and her attitude was not professional. I understand tax preparer ask questions in order to help their clients better but questions she was asking were NOT her business questions! All she needed to know were written on my W-2 and home document/tax, mortgage,... If I were her I would defiantly say your paperwork takes longer and you may end up paying more and we need to stop when my next client shows up and will continue with your filing after she/he is done instead of ignoring a new client who could be a forever client and would definitely mind my business not asking very personal questions! I have to mention that this is the first time I am writing 1-star review for someone. But her attitude made me disappointed. She not only mad me sad but also made my friend who introduced her to me to feel bad and says sorry for introducing her to you! I feel so sorry for her and wont recommend her at all. Called into this tax company because I needed assistance with amending my taxes this year because I had additional forms come after I filed electronically online. I was told that the "Professional" tax accountant was to busy to assist me and to go and do it online. 1040X cannot be filed online, it has to be done manually. They basically shunned me away.
