And it's not roped up in some museum with signs posted everywhere warning "Do Not Touch." Nope, it's right there all out in the open. Go ahead and put your hands right on it. It's amazing, just amazing, I tell ya! DO NOT go to Universal Studios and not take the time to walk behind The Hard Rock Cafe and see this piece of history!

This stands in a very odd place, basically if you are walking towards Hard Rock Café and coming from the backend where the University Studio's Globe is, the Wall is on the right side of the Hard Rock Café building. One would never even know it is there, as everyone goes inside Hard Rock Café from the other entrance. While observing the wall, I seen countless people just walking around and no one even seems to notice this significant piece of history right in front of them, how sad? The project was erected as part of a 15 year old Eagle Scout's Project. A long list of businesses and locals donated to assist in making this endeavor successful and the end result is beautiful. The Windermere Florida Never Forgets Memorial and Gardens is very thoughtful. The memorial showcases a piece of steel that was salvaged from the rubble from World Trade Center. There are small square tiles at the base of the structure that represents the country of each person who died from this attack. There is a plaque displayed that gives details of the September 11 attacks and the project.

This area just west of Orlando, Florida certainly has built up in just the last twenty years, much less since 1885 and it is important for us to remember the steps that led us to where we today stand. Today, this area is a lot of new housing developments and the accompanying businesses to serve the community.

This park is pretty large with ample free parking and lots of walking paths. They are known for their 18-hole disc golf courses and my husband has enjoyed playing here on several occasions. They also have paintball, a skate park, BMX tracks, a dog park, indoor gym with a fitness center, basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, and even a lakefront boat ramp with fishing access. There's always some kind of an event happening in the skate park area which is fun to watch. This park truly has it all!

This is a beautiful memorial to the tragedy that was brought not only to New York City, but to all…read moreof America. This memorial is in Windermere, Florida (which is next to Orlando). It is located between the Town Hall and the library and is a girder from the World Trade Centers. We must remember that terrible day that was brought to our country, but we must remember the strength of our country and its people. All who came together and shown that terror won't drive us apart. I had just moved to Florida in 2001 (at the end of June to be exact) and remember looking watching the news and seeing the v terrible events. I also remember talking to my friend Bob who was still in New Jersey and him telling me in little more than a whisper that the New York skyline "is gone." This is a great reminder that we Americans are amazing people and terror cannot drive us apart.
