It's amazing how blind we can be sometimes to things that are right in front of us! I think it is amazingly awesome that we are lucky enough to have such a rich piece of history in Orlando. And it's not roped up in some museum with signs posted everywhere warning "Do Not Touch." Nope, it's right there all out in the open. Go ahead and put your hands right on it. It's amazing, just amazing, I tell ya! DO NOT go to Universal Studios and not take the time to walk behind The Hard Rock Cafe and see this piece of history!

This stands in a very odd place, basically if you are walking towards Hard Rock Café and coming from the backend where the University Studio's Globe is, the Wall is on the right side of the Hard Rock Café building. One would never even know it is there, as everyone goes inside Hard Rock Café from the other entrance. While observing the wall, I seen countless people just walking around and no one even seems to notice this significant piece of history right in front of them, how sad? This area just west of Orlando, Florida certainly has built up in just the last twenty years, much less since 1885 and it is important for us to remember the steps that led us to where we today stand. Today, this area is a lot of new housing developments and the accompanying businesses to serve the community.

This park is pretty large with ample free parking and lots of walking paths. They are known for their 18-hole disc golf courses and my husband has enjoyed playing here on several occasions. They also have paintball, a skate park, BMX tracks, a dog park, indoor gym with a fitness center, basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, and even a lakefront boat ramp with fishing access. This is a beautiful memorial to the tragedy that was brought not only to New York City, but to all…read moreof America. This memorial is in Windermere, Florida (which is next to Orlando). It is located between the Town Hall and the library and is a girder from the World Trade Centers. We must remember that terrible day that was brought to our country, but we must remember the strength of our country and its people. All who came together and shown that terror won't drive us apart. I had just moved to Florida in 2001 (at the end of June to be exact) and remember looking watching the news and seeing the v terrible events. I also remember talking to my friend Bob who was still in New Jersey and him telling me in little more than a whisper that the New York skyline "is gone." This is a great reminder that we Americans are amazing people and terror cannot drive us apart.

If you love Dr. Seuss, this ride is a must! Based on the Sneetches, you'll have a narrative to ride along with, accompanied by an adorable voiceover. But the best part is discovering new views and even details you cannot see from the ground! I love this ride. And as long as the wait is under 20/15 minutes, I will be there! This was my first time ever at the orlando home show and I literally didn't know what to expect…read moreexcept that I really REALLY wanted to be there when Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixture Upper was presenting. There is some construction going on at the Orange County Convention Center but I am not sure if thats the reason why we were routed to a parking area within the Rosen hotel along the same road. The parking too I'm guessing for any event at the convention center would at the least cost $9 dollars to park your car (which we paid). The show was located in the West Wing of the convention center. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the actual show. The parking attendant had told me that in order to reach the show I would need to take the cross bridge by going up the stairs, then down to get to it. When I followed his directions, I felt like a fool because it would have been much easier to just walk on the pedestrian walk way available... I guess that was the safe thing to say to guest so they won't get a law suit or something... I was in a hurry because I barely made it to the 2PM presentation and when I got there I immediately felt overwhelmed and didn't know who to turn who. I asked a person standing by the door, they had no clue where the presentations were. By the time I reach the third person, I was finally told it was all the way in the back where it said "Fresh Ideas" or something of that nature. There should have a map that is located on a board or something so thing could be easily identified because there was no paper maps readily available too. Chip and Jo's presentation: Their presentation of how they started was awesome! It brought a lot of insight on their daily lives and how they got there. The Q&A was very cool and they were able to get down to the nitty gritty of some stuff. They both have great personality and the perfect team. This event without some one as prominent from HGTV or a presentation would really be a disappointment. The actual 'show' was good if someone were really interested in some cool and not so cool innovations for your home. It has different vendors including landscape, mattress, shingle repair, tiles, and then some. Everybody is trying to lure you in with their deal and to get a sale. After awhile, it just seems like everybody is selling you the same stuff. I would appreciate if there were more "Fresh Idea" presentations that were less like selling but more learning. They did have other ones but only one other one was what it seemed like not a sales tactic. Also another thing I want to point out was that I wish vendors would be organized into sections rather a mattress vendor from one end to the other end of the show. I m not sure if its because so they can make people walk from place to place to see other vendors but I certainly would liked it the other way around. FINALLY, I really appreciate Yelp and Andi P. for sharing the love on these tickets because I got them for freeeee.99!!!! Yelp love going your way!
