Camphost was off duty for those days. When the old grump returned to his job he was complaining about people using there generator. Bathrooms needed to be cleaned, but he would rather try and pick on campers,who are on vacation wanting to enjoy themselves. Dodge ridge needs to reconsider who they choose to run and maintain the campground. Sad to say this is a first come first serve campground and they don't follow the rules, which is not fair for those who do. Please dodge ridge find a camp host who will do there job and follow the rules for every one who loves to camp. The honest camping way needs to come back, and if you can't do that,start taking reservations like your pinecrest campground.

Knights Ferry is a wonderful place to see some historical sites and really take some time to enjoy nature while sitting next to the river as water flows. If you're into hiking trails you can also walk along the river using a trail or just sit next to the river and lay back on a rock. The only issue was parking but that's only an issue when really busy.

Our guests had so much fun, and everyone said the cabins were warm and cozy. Everyone embraced the feet of snow surrounding camp, and it made for a unique experience. Our camp wedding was everything we hoped for, and we are so glad we found Camp Sylvester. One of my favorite moments was watching our guests having snowball fights and building snowmen on the morning of the wedding. Ken was incredibly helpful in the planning process! Dining hall, bathrooms on both sides of the camp, amphitheater, activity room and of course cabins all named after trees, mine being the "Oak" cabin. Amongst all that are plenty of places to pitch tents all within the boundaries and not to disturb the residents who live around the camp. What I really liked about the camp are the other activities that available like a basketball court (not a full court) but enough to shoot some hoops and a volleyball net. Also the staff who run the camp (outside of our program) were accommodating if we needed additional supplies or had questions about the site. There are also plenty of trees to set up some hammocks and pits to have a fire. The camp is within walking distance to Pinecrest lake which of course is a plus. I enjoyed our time here, my only critique is the bathrooms could use either some ventilation or air fresheners. It was painful to my nose every time I had to go in there. We even tried to keep it clean but the smell was just too strong. Fun camp site otherwise though.

They also offer guided walks at certain times as well as park maps. I the museum area there is a staff member to provide information on the animals native and the plants as well as offer furs you can touch. The gift shop consists of various shirts, books, pins, stickers, postcards, they even sell walking sticks and junior ranger uniforms. You can get glass blown trees and ornaments as well as some snacks. We got a few things from the gift shop and browsed the museum. March - October the visitor center is open until 5pm unless there is a power outage. The rest of the year they close at 4.

Their invoice clearly stated that the cancellation policy was "Cancellation penalty 10% of deposit prior to final payment". This policy was also clearly stated on all the invoices of the other family members that booked the same cruise. When we decided to cancel because of Covid-19 she told us our refund would only be $.20!!! When I challenged Maureen Dinnocenzo about the policy she quickly sent me an email with an altered invoice with the same, original invoice date but with a modified cancellation policy that now stated "Cancellation penalty 10% of cruise fare prior to final payment". This is grossly illegal and unfair and I would not trust these people with a penny of your money. Always book direct and you will be treated more professionally and honestly and be given the respect you deserve. I have photos of the invoices but it would not upload them sorry, you will have to trust me.

We recently visited Leland Snowplay, and while the snow area itself was fun for the most part and…read moremost of the staff were helpful and polite, our overall experience was overshadowed by extremely rude behavior from one particular staff member. The issue was mainly with one staff member in the parking lot who was also present in the play area. He was shouting at people at the top of his voice, including families with small children. The tone and aggression were completely unnecessary, and it genuinely scared some of the kids. Families drive for hours to get there, and this place is not cheap. We were told the place was "full" in a very aggressive manner, even though there was still visible parking available and the front desk was continuing to sell tickets. Groups had arrived together, and there is no network reception there to coordinate once separated. Not even allowing people to park briefly -- when space was available -- to figure out their next course of action felt unreasonable and poorly managed. To be clear, this behavior seemed to be limited to this one individual. The staff at the ticket counter and in the snow play area were courteous and pleasant. It honestly felt like this one person may have been overwhelmed or frustrated, but that does not justify shouting at paying customers -- especially around young children. Unfortunately, this kind of experience leaves a lasting impression, and it makes us hesitant to ever return.

I visited on a Friday with my 5-year-old, and it was a fantastic experience. One of the best things about this place is the free parking and the reduced weekday pricing. When we went, there were only about a dozen families, so we had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. I can imagine it gets much busier on weekends and holidays. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I also appreciated that the lodge had food available--we had chicken tenders and a Philly cheesesteak, both of which were solid options. The food was by no means amazing but it was nice to have an option. The lodge itself is a nice spot to warm up, especially with the cozy fireplace. Plus, they sell essentials like gloves and boots in case you need them. My only con is reception is bad and there isn't wifi but in many ways that is probably a good thing so I could focus on spending time with my kid instead of being on the phone. The three-hour drive was totally worth it! I made it there in a Subaru Outback without chains and had no issues on the road. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

The owners are incredibly sweet and accommodating, open to all of our ideas to make our day uniquely ours. They went above and beyond to bring our vision to life, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Their venue manager, Nicole, was the warmest host; she made everyone feel so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. She was truly dedicated to the success of our wedding making sure we were stress-free the entire time. And I must add she is extremely creative! The owners (the Klauses) were also extremely diligent and genuinely cared that we would have the most amazing day. They are the kindest and most gracious people you will ever meet! The location/venue was perfect! I mean the view overlooking the lake was breathtaking! And it wasn't the only spot that was beautiful. Every inch of that property was gorgeous. It felt like I was in some magical land that I couldn't imagine even in my wildest dreams. I mean, our photographer was so inspired she kept finding great places for us to take pictures. Shout out to Renee as one of the Vendors too, she was handsdown one of the best decisions we made regarding the wedding. You will regret not booking her for your wedding/event. This was truly a memorable day and a huge reason for this was the people involved and the location. We didn't have to worry about random people showing up to our intimate wedding like I've seen happen at other venues. It was spacious enough to for a large wedding party without sacrificing comfort, we loved that we felt tucked away into nature while still having "city accommodations". And I must add, the view from the casita is unmatched. Best view on the property. I loved that it served as my bridal suite! I can't say enough about Airola Vineyards. Truly, our wedding was just enchanting. While our guests were originally skeptical about the location (many had to drive 8+ hours) once they arrived they all thanked us for the invitation because it meant they were in such a beautiful location. I'm surprised this place isn't better known and while I want to be selfish and not the let the secret out, I would be doing humanity a disservice if I didn't shout Airola Vineyards' (and it's staff) exceptionalism from the roof tops. I am convinced this is one of the most romantic places on planet Earth.
