We had an amazing experience! James, our driver, was on time, drove incredibly smoothly, and was so patient with our group, even with a bus full of noisy kids. He spent about 12 hours with us and never once complained. He was always helpful, especially when unloading our bags, and made the entire day run seamlessly. One of the highlights was when he happily stopped so we could watch and take pictures of a bear we spotted in Yosemite. That extra bit of flexibility made the trip even more memorable. I also tend to get carsick, but both of our drivers were exceptionally smooth behind the wheel, so I never had any issues. The bus itself was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. The Owner Kelly was more than accommodating in helping us navigate our pickup & drop off times and locations and even went above and beyond by driving out to our venue before the event to make sure the timing/schedules we created would work for the wedding. Which made going in to the day of wedding feeling extremely comfortable with our transportation arrangements. We rented two of the 24 seat buses and they were extremely clean, spacious and perfect for our event. Found MLA Charter via google and could not have been more thrilled with our day of wine tasting in Murphys! Kelly was super prompt to get back to me with all my questions and even gave us a free upgrade from the 14 passenger van to the 20 passenger shuttle bus since no one else had booked it that weekend! She was on time to our reservation and had great communication from start to finish! Kelly was not only the person I was in contact with for booking, but she also ended up being our driver. I must make a confession - I did not admit to Kelly prior to our pick up that we were a bachelorette party, because lets be honest; No one likes a bachelorette party lol But once we were picked up, Kelly mentioned that if I HAD said something in advanced about us being a bach, that they have markers to use on the bus and make it that more festive. Sooo with that in mind, if you are looking to book MLA for a bach, they seem to be bach friendly! However, I must say we were not just ANY REGULAR bachelorette party -- we all dressed up as grannies for our day of wine tasting! Kelly fully embraced her role as the driver for a bunch of silly 30year olds dressed up as senior citizens and made the day that more special! Our daughter recently married in Arnold, CA. We contracted with Motherlode Adventures to take our guests to and from the reception. We had guests staying in two motels in Arnold, and two motels in Murphys. Kelly helped us make a schedule using two 24-passenger buses. The guests were very happy with the services, and found them to be prompt and readily available. The buses were clean, and water was provided. We used Mother Lode as shuttle service for some guests of our wedding. We got married a little outside of Groveland and we didn't want anyone to feel that they had to get on the road and drive. Kelly was great the whole way through and was very helpful. The Pine Mountain Lake gated community threw a little wrench in our plans but Scott (the driver) was able to work through that and we had no complaints at all. Honestly, with being as busy as I was getting married, I wasn't able to chat with Scott but the shuttle was on time, and we heard he was friendly. The main goal for us was to have things as seamless as possible and not to take away from the day and from our family/friends. Mother Lode did that and more. I can't say enough great things about this company! My husband and I were married in Yosemite on 10/11/18. Me, my husband, and all of our guests are from out of town and had never visited Yosemite before. My ceremony and reception locations were over an hour away from each other so I thought a shuttle service between the two spots would be a relief for my guests. I got quotes from several different shuttle services in the area and all were pretty outrageous compared to Mother Lode. They were by far the most reasonably priced and the service was absolutely impeccable. Kelly was such a pleasure to deal with and was very easy to get a hold of whenever I had any questions. It was such a breath of fresh air because all of the other vendors used for our wedding were difficult to reach most of the time. Kelly was also our driver on the big day (she was so sweet!) and my guests told me they really enjoyed the ride. Kelly the owner was very nice to deal with in the process of booking their 24 passenger bus for a wine tour my company was going on. We contacted Mother Lode Adventures for a wine tasting day in Murphy's. From beginning to end they were fantastic. Kelly, in the office, was very prompt and professional. She responded to emails very quickly. She was very easy to work with and accommodated changes easily. Kelly's husband, Scott, was our driver. He waited patiently for us to be ready. He packed waters and strawberries that Kelly had cut and washed for us. They were the best strawberries we have ever tasted. Kelly provided each seat in the van with a cute wine tasting magnet. Scott was friendly, unassuming and patient. We had a car trailing our van due to a party-goers recent injuries from a car accident. To me, this seems like it would be annoying to the driver of our van. Scott never complained and was extremely helpful to the other driver, making sure they knew where we were going and waiting for them to follow. He was even cheerful about it! Scott knows the area well and was very helpful when we asked for input. He made sure we had a great time and continually checked-in to see if there was anything we needed without being obtrusive. I frequently wine taste and have used other transportation services before in Sonoma/Napa County. I have never been so pleased. All the ladies were equally impressed. We couldn't get over how nice they were. Over the course of the day we shared with Scott our plans to walk to downtown Twain Harte after our dinner at home. He surprised us a few minutes after drop-off with mini-flashlights for us all! He wanted to make sure we walked home safely! ! Seriously! Kelly and Scott are the best ever!!
