Right on time the Attorney came out and welcomed both us and our realtor into his office. The process was a breeze due to his advanced organization. He had pre-tagged all pages that needed signatures. On documents that needed multiple copies signed he had stacked them together but separate so I could be signing one set while my husband signed the second set and then we switched documents. We were not rushed at all and each document was carefully reviewed and explained. After signing our life away the attorney presented us with a plastic folder from the builder. It contained keys to our new home and other important information. We were asked to wait in the office for a few minutes and shortly thereafter the attorney returned with a DVD with all the signed documents loaded on it. He told us he would be filing the documents immediately after we left and he would give us a call when the house was officially ours to enter. The attorney offered to send the commission check to the realtor or offered he may wait at the office to get the check in person. He opted to wait. Within the hour after our appointment we received the call from both the attorney and our realtor that the process was complete. Thanks for making what could be an overwhelming process a very positive experience. If we need similar attorney services in this region we would use Joseph C Hearne II again without question.

The lawyer was fired from this firm right after my case, and failed to give me any indication that my settlement was waiting at the business location (Wesley Scott's office). A MONTH PASSED! I finally had to inquire about the funds myself, because no one bothered to tell me they were available. When I called my lawyer he blamed his secretary for not notifying me for over a month. When I went to pick up my settlement check from Wesley Scott, it was significantly lower than the agreed upon amount. Wesley Scott responded to this negligence by having his "financial guy" give me a call and essentially tell me I signed a paper, so I'm an idiot if I didn't understand what I was signing. When I explained that MY lawyer, who worked for HIS lawfirm, who HE had since fired for negligence, told me I HAD to sign, and did not explain any other details, it was unreasonable to expect me to know legal jargon that you literally hire a lawyer to read and decipher! From there Wesley Scott ignored me and gave me the run around for over a week, until I finally just went to collect my settlement that was $5000 short. It is frustrating to go from a business situation where you were taken advantage of, only to be taken advantage of by lawyers that you hire. I would say Wesley Scott and those that work for him, definitely live up to the stigma that lawyers are snakes in the grass: They care about making a buck and they'll treat you like ( and apparently also call you) the stupid cash cow they see you as. It's disgusting. Again, I do not recommend the Law Offices of Wesley Scott, or any one that may be affiliated with him. Unless of course you want the headache and less money than you were promised.
