I recently hired Caldera Power Services to wire the heater for my sauna, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Chris was incredibly responsive from the start, answered all my questions quickly, and provided the best rates by far after I contacted at least five other electricians in my area. He and his apprentice were able to run a dedicated line from our subpanel in the garage right outside to the sauna. They also installed the heater and temperature sensor (this is highly recommended by the heater companies! Don't install these without professional help!) The work was completed professionally, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. It took them a few hours but they finished it the same day. It's hard to find contractors who are both reliable and fairly priced, but Caldera Power Services delivered on both. Moved into a new place and the outlet for the dryer wasn't working. Chris came out and was very helpful, took care of the work very quickly.

We were having some extreme flickering in our house so we contacted Caldera Power Services. Chris was very quick to respond and he mentioned that this was most likely a problem on the utility company's end (SCE). He said that we should check with them first as it would be free to check/repair on their end and if that resolve the issue, he would come down and check what else could be the problem. Power outage in 100° heat. I contacted several electricians who each said it would be up to four days before they could come out. Chris was in the area and said he would be by in about 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes later he was at my home. He looked at the main breaker and the breaker panel. He got the power back on then went about looking for the cause. Turns out it was the A/C unit from the Mesozoic Era. He said because he is not an A/C tech, he was not going to mess with the unit. I am not going to use the A/C until I get that unit repaired or replaced. If I need some electrical work done (and I am sure I will), I will call Chris. Had to do a rewiring of my 110 year old craftsman home following the Eaton Fire. Chris was the low bid which is sometimes suspect but after talking with him and the other bidders he was the clear choice. We encountered many unusual obstacles in this old house and Chris stuck to his original quote. Just amazing considering the amount of complexity to the problems discovered. We also have plaster walls not drywall and one of the other bidders said he would need to punch over 100 holes! Chris made maybe 20 and his plaster guy did a beautiful job with the repair. I had Chris come out to install a NEMA 14-50 in my garage for charging an electric car. Chris got back to me immediately and worked around my schedule for the installation. He arrived on time and was extremely courteous. He was very open about pricing and gave me different options about cost depending on the placement of the outlet. Install was done and everything worked perfectly and the last step was getting the city inspector to approve the work. Long story short the city inspector mistakenly claimed that the work Chris did was not up to code. It surprised the both of us. But working with Chris we were able to find the electrical code that proved the work was in fact done correctly and he was able to contact the inspector the next day to get the permit in the end. I previously had a 10-50P receptacle in my garage from previous owner. I use an adapter/converter to a 14-50 for my Tesla. Well, after 4+ years of usage, it finally burned. Chris was on his way to my home right after I called. That was the fastest time getting here that I've ever seen from anyone! I have a Turkish lamp that came from Turkey and I could not get it to work. I had the adapter but I ordered a voltage converter from Amazon thinking that was the problem, going from 220 volts to 110 volts. It didn't work. I got new E14 light bulbs which are for European lamps. Didn't work. I called Caldera Power Services and Chris did some troubleshooting. He found out that some of the wiring in the top of the lamp came loose. He fixed it and I was so amazed!! It looks great with the light bulbs lit. I thought the house call was rather expensive but I never would have figured out how to fix it myself. read more

I started by requesting a quote from Chris to repair a couple of outlets at my house that had reverse polarity as well as install a GFCI outlet in one of my bathrooms (all issues carried over from prior homeowner). Chris was quick to respond to the RFQ with a very reasonable quote and he was able to schedule me in the following week. During his repair/installation, he took good care of the delicate and old (circa 1942) wiring and educated me on the health of the wiring for future reference. Additionally, he made sure to clean up after his work was complete, which some contractors often times neglect. Even though there were some challenges along the way that required him to install additional parts, he kept to his original quote. I contacted Chris several weeks before to make an appointment to install 2 lamp post lights on brick posts and replaced 3 dusk-to-dawn outdoor lights near my garage. At the time I contacted him he was extremely busy but based on the reviews I decided to wait. It was definitely worth the wait. Chris remembered when I was interested in scheduling him to do the work and called me several days ahead to confirm our appointment. Initially I wasn't sure whether I needed to replace the outdoor lights or there was a problem with the electrical but he was able to determine by removing the fixture and testing the power it was a problem with the fixtures. After he replaced him he confirmed all the lights were in good working order and what impressed me even more he added silicone around the fixture to ensure water wouldn't seep behind the fixture to cause potential issues in the future.
