Not completely awful but I'd go to the barberitos down the street before here.

N-E way...This store reminds me of my aunt's house in Fresno. Every summer, we pickled and canned fruits and veggies throughout. I picked snap beans, okra, grapes, cherries, cukes, tomatoes, etc for many summers with her. Unpaid labor!! This place reminded me of those hot ass summers, canning stuff. Chow Chow. Pickles. I take my time (days or weeks) making bigger purchases and they are very patient with me as well as informative. I have purchased fly fishing gear and flies, a bicycle and cycling equipment, as well as performance clothing from MSL. If I was a backpacker, this would be my primary source of gear. Most of the products are premium brands so they can be a bit more expensive than Dick's or some other chain. If you want to buy quality gear from a local shop, consider MSL.

It's Ollie's, a discount retail store that prides itself in a crazy assortment of stuff (some good, some junk) for really good prices.. and for that they do succeed. I'd rather come into one of these places and get amazing deals if it means they have to cut corners in other areas of running a retail store. I mean some discount retail places are so spic and span that the prices for their merchandise isn't much different than a big box retailer, and sometimes it'll even be MORE expensive. Not at Ollie's. Matter of fact, of all my experiences or Ollie's in 3 different states, their prices have been consistently cheaper. This particular one in Bristol is packed with stuff. My son has special needs and pointed his finger in her direction to ask her a question. He absolutely did not point his finger in a rude way and not even towards her face. The old lady snapped at him and said, "excuse me are you pointing your finger at me", "do not do that, I don't like that and that's very rude." The only thing that was rude was her. I feel it's very common sense to not correct a child when a parent is clearly standing right beside them. If I felt my child was in the wrong and had pointed towards her to be rude I would have 100 percent corrected him. She was clearly the type of person that gets easily offended about every little thing. We were out shopping around for my son's birthday and he loves music and records but instead of getting himself a record with his birthday money, he wanted to pick one out for his barber (because that's the type of heart he has). I had planned on letting him pick out a few records for his birthday there but we left after that. I'd never spend my money at a place where an employee was so rude. I'm not sure if she isn't a kid person or just not a nice person in general but we won't be back and we will also tell others about the unpleasant experience.
