Cali Coast Elite has been an amazing experience for my daughter. This is our third year (1 on half year team and 2 on full year team) and she loves going to practice and the amazing friendships she has made. While she is not the most advanced in stunts and tumbling, the coaches and gym have been amazing in providing her all that she needs to excel. They support her when she needs more time to focus, and celebrate her wins. There is no intense pressure but all the support to push her to excel. Just last night she finally did a cartwheel with straight legs/arms and landed perfectly and the rest of the girls and coach celebrated her! The others girls in her tumbling class are doing much more advanced moves but were still celebrating her sticking her cartwheel!! CCE has the best family. read more

Updating my review after owner's response: Still would give this gym a 0. They take zero accountabilities for their poor "professional" actions. Betty is able to respond to this post but has yet responded to our emails from March-April time frame concerning our daughter's concussion incident. We moved on to CheerForce after the cheer season/contract was over with Cali Coast and has had an amazing experience with them! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would! The cheer moms already formed their "clicks" and if your child is a new they will bully them to the point where they don't want to attend anymore. My child got injured and even with a doctors note they wouldn't excuse her from any absences. The children would remind her daily about how they missed their old teammate and how my daughter was to "heavy" for them to pick up during flying. My child already being small started to develop insecurity issues about her weight and it caused her mental health to decline. The way they portray this gym being a safe space is false advertisement, take your business somewhere more professional even if it means driving a bit farther. None of the children were reprimanded because the coaches daughter was the instigator of most of the bullying going on. The only good thing about this gym is your child will learn and my daughter progressed a lot but it's not worth the trouble if it changes your child into a completely different person.. they also don't return phone calls and disregard everything mentioned. This type of business should be illegal if your child is being set up for failure already. DONT COME HERE! There are many more professional gyms that won't allow this type of behavior. read more

This place is a complete joke. First, they have one instructor for around 30 kids for the Cheer fundamentals class, so there is very minimal training or one-on-one time. The age of students range anywhere from around 4 years old to teen. Normally, the instructor focuses their attention on the younger kids, which negatively impacts the more advanced students. Having a few additional instructors would help resolve this issue or having smaller class sizes. There is zero interaction with the instructor on how your child is progressing because there are so many kids they most likely don't even know who your child is. Lastly, they expect parents to stand outside for an hour and don't provide seating. Horrible experience, do not recommend. read more

We are new to Cali Coast Elite but have some experience with all star cheer at other gyms. I have to say this gym welcomed us with open arms and really included my daughter right away. The staff is great and gives my kid the challenge she needs to push herself. Her skills have progressed so much since we joined the CCE team. From the awesome coaching staff (who will definitely challenge your cheerleader to do their very best at all times) to the wonderful family atmosphere! I didn't know anything about competitive cheer until my 10 year old daughter joined Cali Coast Elite this past summer, and since then, I have seen my quiet, shy girl grow in her confidence and poise. The wonderful and dedicated coaches at CCE work very hard to give their students all the tools necessary to set them up for success! At the beginning of the season, a mental coach was brought in to give advice to the girls about dealing with stress during competitions and practice. My daughter tried a few sports before visiting Cali Coast Elite with her youth football/cheer team four years ago. She enjoyed it so much .... she found her "thing."
