We are new to Cali Coast Elite but have some experience with all star cheer at other gyms. I have to say this gym welcomed us with open arms and really included my daughter right away. The staff is great and gives my kid the challenge she needs to push herself. Her skills have progressed so much since we joined the CCE team. My daughter works hard but has never complained about going to cheer. She absolutely loves it and loves the gym. If you are looking to get into Allstar cheer gym look no further! They also offer many other classes for tumbling and private lessons.

    First stunting ever!

Coach Betty and her staff are wonderful! They make my daughter work hard, but are 110% supportive and use positive reinforcement to teach. They truly care about my daughter and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Started doing personal training with Natalie S. After one session I feel like a whole new person. She listened to my concerns and my goals and tailored a regimen to my specific needs. Love the Chill Zone - just wish it was included in the membership instead of $20 a session (you do get one free session per month which is nice). The infrared sauna is a great warm down! Grateful for this community and excited to try out more classes. Just wish there were more offerings, the classes I like are only offered once a week.

The sled was a lot of fun as my current gym does not have one. Towels are available at the front desk, and the locker rooms are clean, spacious, and well-appointed with showers, a large vanity area, and motivational signage throughout. The stretching room was a standout, offering assisted stretch machines along with open floor space for mobility work. The Chill Zone is an additional premium amenity--members receive one complimentary session per month, with additional sessions available for $20. Overall, it's a polished, well-equipped gym with thoughtful amenities, ideal for those who plan to fully utilize everything the club offers.

People here are accommodating and know the rules and work with you on sharing lanes if it gets crowded. But the pool here is one of the best I have been to in all the YMCA's I have swam at. It would be my regular go to swim place if I lived in the area. Parking can be a challenge but you can always find a spot.

Today I showed up for a water exercise class only to be told it's canceled. No notifications to me beforehand, no emails, and the online pool schedule still shows the class as happening. Annoyed. But it was the lackluster attitude from the front desk employee that made me go from annoyed to pissed off. There was another older lady who'd shown up for the same class, and similarly frustrated. The employee gave her some attitude and implied it was her fault for not knowing, "There's a board out front that says it." Well I went to the board and it's in extremely fine print, and there are several other boards there too, who reads all that. Plus you only see it once you're at the gym, so you already wasted time to get there. I told the front desk employee the online schedule needs updating. She stuck to her story, "It's on the board." I asked what other classes are happening now, maybe I could attend another since I'm already here and this is my time in my schedule to exercise. The employee looked at a schedule and said 3-4 random class names, times and studios. I asked to see the sched so I could browse it. She gave it, and I picked out a potential class. She said, "Oh see this schedule is no good." Ok so what's the point then? I asked her for her name. "Vi," she said curtly. I asked for her last name, she said, "I don't have to give you my last name." Wow! It was evident that this person had no desire to help me. Nor did she really know anything about the schedule of the day. Nor did she know much about how to resolve customer issues. Nor did she care. If this is all Vi does at her job, then just have a computer do it. At least a computer will give real information and won't give me attitude. Another time, my family came for family swim and the pool was short staffed on lifeguards. They made every family wait poolside until somebody in the pool left, to keep their ratios. Some poor families sat there waiting for 30 minutes. The lifeguards were terrible at communicating what was happening, why, or how it would be resolved. Then in the middle of the pool time, they made EVERYONE get out of the pool and take a "mandatory break" for 5 minutes. No idea why, no explanations. It was ridiculous.

Beyond that, I have been benefitting a ton from the initial consultation and pt with Ghyslain! He's awesome to work with, like genuinely knowledgeable, very experienced, professional and fun to be around. The way he honed in on exercises that I needed and the little tweaks he makes to form while I'm lifting is incredibly helpful. I feel like I've been learning a lot from him and plan to continue the pt at least until the end of the month! I've made it to a couple of classes so far and have really loved them too (including Natalie's hot yoga!!). I think once I get more comfortable and a bit stronger from the workouts I'm learning in pt then I'll start making it to more of the classes and more frequently. Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.
