He's always there to help with skills and advice about at home practicing and during open gym. He is versatile in his knowledge from parkour to gymnastics. Coach JD for level 2&3 gymnastics is a godsend! With my daughter he is always pushing her and encouraging her to advance her skills and he not only tells her what to do, he is also efficient in the skills himself and able to demonstrate. He gives constructive critiques that help her improve her skills and excel! The best park about him is he is funny and honest while maintaining his air of professionalism. Coach Ellie for level 1 parkour is an angel with children of all ages and backgrounds. My son has high functioning autism and she is so great with him. She is patient and kind and shows equal care to all the kids in her class. She constantly is bringing fresh fun and innovative ideas to each class. She is able to make all children in the class, feel heard on their input while still being active and achieving the gym goals for the period of the class. Unfortunately it seems they weren't ready as a business and very easily gave up on all these girls and the program not even a year into it. They were unorganized and the communication along the whole way was just bad. During these times of bad communication and lack of attention to detail we decided to let it go as it's a new program. Things take time to perfect and get right. Correct?..... Not to them apparently it was easier to just cancel the program and let all these kids and staff down without any sort of communication. Just one day out of the blue putting it on the coaches to relay the terrible news that ownership and management made. Slayden couldn't even show up to inform us. He didn't even want us to come to the coaches with problems only to him. Yet he couldn't even show up to tell us face to face. Apparently they didn't want to handle the finances?? Not only did we waste nearly a 1000 dollars on a uniform as well as our monthly tuition and all the other costs. But our girls who worked hard all year didn't even get a end of the year banquet like even the cheapest pop Warner teams get. The company and managers are a joke. I would honestly think twice before bringing your kids here.

They are slow to respond to emails, or just don't send their emails when they say they will. My other daughter that was going through evals to move up; the coach said they would email us and let us know her scores and if she was moving up or not, and we just never got an email from anyone. I've also heard from friends that they are not inclusive to autistic kids or kids with Down syndrome- stating they "don't have insurance for THAT." Don't really want to give my money to a gym that refers to kids in such a way. Also read up on some allegations about the owner that I would encourage others to look into.

I reported then to USAG and local police. There are now I believe 7 reports filed by CGC employee coaches with USAG of the coach AND owner JJ touching girls inappropriately. There is also an extensively researched news report detailing the owners behavior as observed first hand by other coaches.. Please please..... choose your child's mental health and long term joy over any one gym... much less one with so many reported inappropriate behaviors. Girls who experience inappropriate behaviors are affected for life... even when they observe it. Also, another owner, Kevin, whom I reported the behavior to, failed to report it to the police and CPS as required by law and strongly defended Derek who was later arrested and is no longer sanctioned by USAG thanks to a brave victim. However, the most troubling experience was financial. I was assured by the owner that the charges for three months (over $300) would be refunded once the Regional Center--whom I was working with--paid for my daughter's sessions. I agreed to pay upfront in good faith, fully expecting the refund once the third party handled the cost. After the Regional Center completed payment, the refund never came. I reached out multiple times over the course of a year, only to receive vague excuses about "budget issues." Eventually, it became clear that the owner had no intention of returning the money. This wasn't a delay--it was a blatant refusal. Holding onto funds that were supposed to be reimbursed feels unethical at best, fraudulent at worst. I cannot in good conscience recommend this gym to any family.

Something to note is that there is only one park, so big dogs are combined with small ones. Theres a small obstacle course for dogs to jump and run through. And for the humans, there's also a few benches on the side to sit at.

There are four big pine trees with separate retaining walls around three of them for owners to sit down. With it being so close to the bay, there's often a nice breeze that goes through the park. There's no divide between small dogs and big dogs, so it's best to just keep an eye on your dog, and many owners around here are usually respectful. The street parking immediately adjacent to the park is free, however, it has a limit of 30 minutes, and the parking meter workers are strict on it if they're around. I bring my dog here around lunch time because those who live/ work in the area tend to bring their dogs during their break time and my dog gets his socialization time. They close 8am-11am MWF for maintenance/ cleaning. Currently, both gates are broken so it's not as secure as it should be, and who knows when the city will actually fix it. There're a few agility structures and a water dispenser. The children's park itself looks pretty cool for kids with a lot of structures with slides and swings. There's also another separate area with fixed exercise equipment that looks well- maintained. The water feature in the park is a water feature, not a pool.

I recently attended a gymnastics class at this facility, and I was thoroughly disappointed. The place was crowded, loud, and chaotic, with participants of all ages taking classes simultaneously. This made it incredibly difficult to hear the instructor, and the toddlers, in particular, couldn't focus due to the overwhelming amount of activity. The environment was also unsanitary, with a noticeable odor that added to the unpleasant experience. The overall organization was severely lacking, making it hard for kids to learn the necessary skills and discipline. Additionally, the instructor's approach was not helpful. She mostly sat and waited for toddlers to come to her, rather than actively engaging with them or guiding them through the exercises. This passive teaching style did not foster a productive learning environment. Overall, I would not recommend this gymnastics facility. The disorganized, loud, and unsanitary conditions, combined with ineffective instruction, made for a very disappointing experience. read more

We absolutely love Gemstone Gymnastics! Ms Kayla truly understand how to work with young children. She is patient, enthusiastic, and creates a warm, welcoming environment that makes every child feel comfortable and excited to participate. The class is well-structured with just the right balance of fun and learning for our 3 year old. Our daughter has been developing better coordination, balance, and confidence each week. The equipment is very well maintained, the front desk staff is always so helpful, and the teachers really get to know you and your family. They highlight all their dancers and not just keep a spotlight on one. The owners are also very involved and want the best for their dancers, not only performance wise, but also in school and psychosocially. While she is not the most advanced in stunts and tumbling, the coaches and gym have been amazing in providing her all that she needs to excel. They support her when she needs more time to focus, and celebrate her wins. There is no intense pressure but all the support to push her to excel. Just last night she finally did a cartwheel with straight legs/arms and landed perfectly and the rest of the girls and coach celebrated her! It teaches kids not only the "standard" yoga poses, but also dives deeper into the history and meaning behind it, to give kids a fuller picture of what they are doing. Sünje also includes breathing techniques and reflection as part of the yoga class, to give kids tools on how to regulate themselves. They also have a little booklet to add their connection with yoga through drawings or journaling. I thoroughly enjoy seeing my daughter being her happy little self when she does yoga at home now, "teaching" me how to do it. Our favorites are open gym and music class since they allow him to explore/play and teach him rhythm/different musical genres. Here are some aspects I like: -Easy parking/access: You'll always find a spot, since they have a large parking lot in the plaza with tons of spaces at any hour of the day. -Easy to communicate with instructors by text or phone or email: They're responsive & friendly. Some months I ask to decrease my visits per month, if we're busy; other months, I ask to increase, if we have more availability. It's quick to make changes with my monthly subscription. -Easy to play for an active toddler: The play area is completely padded, clean, inviting & feels safe overall. You'll still have to stay within arm's reach of your kid, of course, but if he scurries off somewhere, I like knowing things are padded and "lower stakes". I've definitely seen a transformation both physically & mentally in my son since coming here for the past five months. He's more confident about climbing, sliding, sharing, playing with new friends/toys, being exposed to different ages, balancing on the wooden beam, etc.; he has also begun trying to sing at home after starting music class, which is really sweet to see.
