It was a little bit of a delicate job because we had irrigation running next to the stairs. However they were careful and we didn't rupture any of the water lines. What a waste of time. I took time off of work to meet with these people at my house. She does all this measuring and then never sends me an estimate or a price. I call her two days later and then she starts rambling on about not being able to compete with another fence company because I told her I got another estimate before her and I wanted to shop. My rear back fence was leaning so I wanted to talk to a professional about fence repair or replacement. I contacted Cali Fence via telephone initially and did not get a response. I contacted them via Yelp a few days later and received a same day response. It took several days to get them in for an estimate but they showed up the same day a few hours early. Aaron really knew his stuff and was one of the installers of the fences in my community back before he owned his business. He was professional and honest so my neighbor and I awarded him the business to replace our fence even though there was one quote that was slightly cheaper. I was on a time crunch to get the fence replaced and stained before a scheduled party so he was able to start work in less than week after we decided to select Cali Fence. They showed up on time and had the old 65' fence removed and put the new fence up the same day. The workmanship of the fence was great. He used pressure treated posts, caps and center beams that should last me a long time. The stain was applied the next day and the stain looked great. One drawback is that I had to provide my own stain as part of the contract and I had an abundant amount left over. Home Depot did not have the quantity of one gallon containers that I needed so I had bought a five gallon container but had about half of it left. The next day I inspected the fence and saw a few areas that needed to be touched up so I did that myself with the ample stain in about thirty minutes. I'm very pleased with my fence and the work was high quality and the price was in line with other quotes. Aaron was great working between my neighbor and I. 4.5 stars! read more

I would not recommend this vendor, the staff worked on site were unprofessional as well as rude to the customers. Our neighbor wanted to re-do fence and we agreed and have them to take care the rest. On the date they came to do the work, our side would be the easy access to do the work back and forth which we totally understand, but completely blocking the drive way and no communication prior to entering our premises to start working that I do not understand! Already a sign of big no no. Courteously asked them to move the truck since we need leave home for the morning, until the time coming back the truck was still blocking the drive way, asked them again to move so we could get into garage, the staff impatiently asked us to park on the street??? I heard about this company from a neighbor that saw their post on a local neighborhood social media site. So I contacted Cali Fence for a quote, it got scheduled for Wednesday of the following week. I received a text the day of the scheduled quote that stated the person would be at our place that afternoon. The person arrived as scheduled, we told her what type of fencing we wanted quotes for, she took measurements, and then told us that she would email the quote to me by Friday. By Friday evening, I had not received a quote so I sent a text message, just to confirm that I hadn't missed it some how. She told me that she had not sent it yet. It's been difficult to get an estimate from this business. The person I dealt with via Yelp was courteous and professional but they rescheduled the first appointment the morning it was supposed to happen and didn't show up for the second one. When I contacted her, she said I didn't reply to the estimator's text message. When your CONFIRMED appointment is for 8am you should not be texting your customer super early saying that if they don't (re) confirm by 7:15am you'll cancel the appointment! I woke up at 7:45. Bottom line I stayed home twice in vain. I gather they have so much business that they don't need mine. read more

Aaron and his crew were hired to do a fence for my parent's house and their neighbors. We were so happy and impressed with their work. They provided a written estimate and facilitated the payments and agreement between neighbors, since they were sharing the cost. Aaron provided a start date and they showed up on that date ready to work. Once they started the job, they completed it from start to finish within two consecutive days. Initially, I checked prices with 3 different companies and Cali Fencing gave me the best price and it was the only company that showed me the material they were going to use. I ended up doing the 3 sides of the house in different projects and my neighbors decided to also hire them because of their quality.
