INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL are the nicest things I can say about Caliber Collision, 280 Tony Penna Drive, Jupiter, FL. I'll try to keep this short, although you won't be able to grasp the disrespect and aggravation I endured when I leave out all the specific details. I needed body work done on my bumper/back end and passenger side of my vehicle. Although I was advised by others to go to Jupiter Auto Body, I decided on Caliber due to their proximity to my home. I wish I had listened to the advice. Caliber had my vehicle for four weeks. Once I picked my vehicle up, we're going to fast forward five weeks with five additional appointments at Caliber, and my vehicle still wasn't fixed (POV, I have an 8am-5pm job and in those last five weeks I was not privy to a rental/loaner vehicle so I had to rely on Uber, or call in favors for drop offs and pickups). My vehicle's warning alerts and electrical aides (back-up camera, automatic braking, BSW, AHC, etc.) were working sporadically, if at all. Numerous times during those five weeks I had suggested/asked, to no avail, for Caliber to take the bumper off and check the rear connections related to my warning alert system, since that was the area they were supposed to repair. I had googled the issues my vehicle was having and this was listed as a potential culprit. Throughout those five weeks, I also discovered additional issues regarding their work; my liftgate power close button was hanging out of its mounting cavity deeming it useless for closing my liftgate, and one of my liftgate running lights was cracked. Caliber denied any wrong doing and I was told my car drove and operated "just fine". I was blown off, written off, they wouldn't answer my phone calls or call me back. That's how they treat their customers. Last resort was to take my vehicle to the dealership in WPB for an accurate diagnosis for the electrical problems. I was not surprised when the dealership in came back and confirmed that Caliber Collison had "RIGGED" (their word not mine) the installation of the mounting bracket that houses the BSW radar, which is located under the bumper, and necessary for my warning alerts and electrical aides to work properly. Caliber used metal washers on three out of the four connection sites in an attempt to compensate for the uneven and incorrect installation of the bracket. After repairing my vehicle correctly, which took them about three hours, the dealership emailed Caliber with the invoice for the repair work which stated their aforementioned "RIGGED" find. Caliber never called, emailed or texted an apology for dismissing me, the disrepair they did to my vehicle, making me run around for an additional five weeks, spending money for multiple Ubers and cashing in favors from friends and relatives. Save your vehicle from additional damage and yourself from headaches, lost time from work, lost time in genera and out-of-pocket money, go anywhere other than Caliber Collision. Lastly, I took my vehicle to Jason's Auto Shop in Jupiter, and they fixed my liftgate power close button, and installed a new running light in less than 30 minutes. It took less than 3.5 hours to correctly finish repairing my vehicle, which Caliber Collision couldn't do in five weeks. read more

Another car sideswiped our year old Toyota Highlander. Caliber was one of the shops offered by the insurance company. Having had three boys grow up nearby, we had used Caliber before. Their system kept me updated by text and the body work was outstanding. When the plastic flashing around the wheel well popped off a couple days after they were finished, Angel said "I'll order it and install it myself, no charge." It came in and he did. Great work. Fraudulent body repair shop. Added items to fix a cracked outer casing of the passengers outside mirror. All of the mechanics worked fine. I got two other estimates that claimed I did not need the parts. They quoted me $ 1682.00 and it was fixed for $750.00. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. Do not go there. As others have said about this body shop, the customer service is horrific.. My experience was so bad, that I ended up, not even having my car repaired by them. After receiving a quote to repair my car, I let them know that I was going to pay out of pocket for the repairs, versus using insurance. When I told them this, my quote went from $1500 to nearly $10,000. I called the body shop directly to inquire about paying out of pocket, and the receptionist let me know in writing, that it might be around $1500 more due to a calibration...not $8500 more. And one other item to mention, the revised quote was not itemized and therefore the specific work and charges could not be viewed. Two other quotes were presented by other body shops, and were averaging around $3000. There is a reason that this company has only received a 2.5 star rating. Like the others have noted, I would give this body shop a zero star if I could. The auto body shop is great, they fixed my car... No flaws in the mechanics and the technicians. Although the core issue of this review is based on management. Issued a claim with my insurance, came here due to the recommendation from Geico themselves. Brought the car in October 4th and they said it will be done is roughly 6 days due to COVID and shipment of parts/paint, no worries. I don't mind waiting. Now passed the 6 days, Enterprise it was going to be "finished" on the 13th (Odd how they have this information?) and it was. 2 weeks later on the 13th and 14th, Enterprise charged us an extra $200 in total... On top of what was already paid in full. Now... How does this tie into the company? Because I think both this body shop and Enterprise work in tandem, at least management wise... Maybe even splitting profits? Since both are getting paid by the insurance company that means they want as much money as they can get, so they delay the client as much as they can and just blame it on little issues. Supposedly the car was done Wednesday based on what the front office girl said... No call back stating it was done, then Thursday comes around and the manager says it will be done... No call back. Friday comes and we did a Karen at 9 AM in the office now instead of calling (raising suspicion about the extra charges), the manager said car was going to be ready and washed by 1 PM... Car was ready by 10:30 AM, picked it up at 12 PM. Odd how in-person works faster than calling... Not including the deductible that I paid, the entire bill for the damage repair was $2,279.89 with cost of labor, etc. I know it's COVID is going on and everyone is trying make a 'quick buck,' but this isn't the right idea if you want to keep future clients. Customer service was horrible, but the service done was spot on and perfect. This review isn't to bash the mechanics and the technicians... It's about the inner details within this company that HQ of Caliber isn't looking at. 5/5 stars for the mechanics, 1 star for management. read more

Absolutely fantastic!!!! I had a minor fender bender and was short on time. I went in, met with Debbie who was very understanding about my situation. She got Tony in to check out the situation and they were able to help me. Their prices are extremely reasonable, they are USAA preferred collision center so you know they treat their customers right! They are right next door to an enterprise. So, if u have a little bit more damage than I had and need a rental, they are right next door. The worst experience I've ever had. Told me my car would be ready in less than a week, it was over a month. When I got my vehicle back, the front end fell out and caused the under-engine rain guard total damage. They said since it went off their facility, not their problem. I damaged the side view mirror on my Lexus. The dealer said it needed to be replaced. Big $$$, of course. My husband had used this company before for his corvette and was really happy with their work. I figured I'd try. Cathy actually was able to straighten my mirror out, without replacement!! Wether good repair or not I would never recommend dealing with a business this is this unresponsive and unprofessional in a such simple tasks. After going though my insurance and getting everything approved to take my vehicle here for repairs after receiving a recommendation I could not get an appointment. Tried calling for days and days with no response when I finally received an answer the man on the phone said he could not make an appointment for me because the woman who makes appointments is not at work to try calling another day, this happened 3 times!!! I cannot believe this place has any business when it's not even possible to make a simple appointment especially one that insurance is going to be paying out. read more

Bad experience with the shop and Geico. They seem to have a Geico office there so I went for an estimate, they told me I need to arrange it with Geico over the phone. I called Geico and told the I need an ESTIMATE. Made appointment. I had my wife take the car there, they made her sign papers, and gave her a rental car, send her home. Next thing we know , we get a call saying car is repaired. All we wanted was an estimate, and car repaired somewhere else since I already had a previous bad experience. Such a terrible experience. They were several days late on the completion of my truck (which I know is not unusual) but when I called the owner Bob told me that he had ordered the wrong part and that it was a "big inconvenience" for him. When I called several days later, almost a week past when it was supposed to be finished, he got upset with me for asking and told me that "it was my fault for damaging my truck" so I shouldn't be bothering him with asking about when I can receive my truck back which I use for work. Caliber as an overall company was very accommodating and the work, once it was completed, was well done but I will never be bringing my truck back to this location where my business was seen as an "inconvenience." read more

A complete disaster. A $1300 3-4 day estimate turned into a $5000+ repair over 14 days (I rear ended someone at approximately 3 mph, he pulled out to make a right hand turn, but did end up turning and I went because traffic was clear and *bam*. Minimal damage as you might imagine, but it's lease so I had to get it fixed). I was continually told my car would be ready just to have them tell me they needed more time. This literally happened day after day. Communication was sketchy, as it was usually me calling them. On day 11, I told Tina that it sounded like time to call the BBB to which she literally laughed at me and put me on hold. The store manager, Adam was another BS artist with excuse after excuse. Part of the reason I was upset was because I was paying for rental the whole time,which they said multiple times they would "help me out". Finally, on day 14, Adam delivers my car (the ONLY good thing that happened) and drove the rental back "I'm going there right now". About 10 days later I get an absurd charge on my card from Enterprise (another folly of a business) and had to figure out why from my insurance company, as neither Enterprise nor Adam from Caliber returned my calls regarding the matter. Turns out THE RENTAL WASN'T RETURNED FOR ANOTHER 7 DAYS! That's right, they kept my rental on their property despite my being charged for it, and, of course, did NOTHING to help out with my payment. Caliber returned my car to me with chipped paint, grease smudges and some weird white smudges on the inside that I still can't get out. Oh, and with over 30 of unexplained miles on the odometer. I got into a tiny fender bender .. Not only was it a seemless process.. With insurance.. This company made me feel very well informed with the progress of service. They have a personal touch calling with updates and when I picked my car up it was very detailed and made me feel like they took very good care of it. Never ever take your vehicle here. We've been here twice because it's a Geico recommend a place for insurance repairs but they're horrible we will never go back. Miserable experience at every level. A geezer backed into my door. All I needed was a new door skin. There was no structural damage. I needed the car for work and was extremely clear on that point. I told them that I doid not want to bring in the car until they were certain it would be done on time. I was told the repair would take 3-4 days. It took 5 weeks. This outfit got my car and then spent a month doing nothing. Call after call after call. Insurance this, insurance that. Waiting for approval... When I reminded them that they told me everything was ready when I brought it in, they had no excuse. And to top it off, when I picked up the car the door molding fell off. This place is a nightmare. Avoid at all costs. If your insurance company tells you to go here, run away like your hair was on fire. read more

The gentleman, i dealt with (Bob), at this place has left the place since and my experience the second time was not as good as the first time. I don't know if I just had the wrong person that I was dealing with, or that the lack of service runs through the firm. But this company is not the same as it was when I dealt with them a few years ago. The second time around they were not as thorough and the lack of communication was apparent (a stark contrast from the previous time i dealt with them). *********************************** These guys are a diamond in the rough. However, I should specify the gentleman I dealt with is the one who deserves this excellent review and his name is Bob Balback. There might be others who are as good as him but I only dealt with him so my review is specific to this location and I would like to mention that my dealings were primarily with Bob who was candid, professional and honest with his feedback on all the repairs that I had done. Although, I went in for an initial repair that had to do with a minor collision but then ended up getting more things done because we discovered that the car needed extra service. Bob was very honest and told me that I did not need to do the job right away and I had another 6000 miles to drive before I needed to get the maintainance performed. Not to mention, if I had gone to the BMW dealer, they probably would've insisted that I get everything done immediately to increase their revenue (based on my personal experience with them). Beware!!! Avoid this place at all cost. Went there because they were a recommended Geico Express shop. There was nothing "express" about them. Had a minor bumper repair that needed the plastic bumper replaced they said it would take 2 days. They used a aftermarket bumper and the paint did not stick and they had to order & paint an OEM bumper, Repair took 8 days and when I picked it up the backup sensors were not working correctly. Took it back the next day and they did not have a clue on how to diagnose or fix the sensors. Took it to a Mazda dealer who had to order another bumper because Caliber glued the sensors on incorrectly and they could not be removed without damaging the bumper. One month later and still getting the minor damage repaired by a qualified dealer. read more

They think women don't know a thing about cars, well they ran into the wrong female here who happens to know every little thing that happens to her vehicle. They replaced my bumper after some girl ran into while she was texting and after about a few months later my friend told me that my reverse lights come on when I step on the break. So I remember the guy who spoke to me who works there told me 100% guarantee please bring it back if anything is wrong. So I did and he completely denied that fact that it was their fault. He tried to get me to take it to my mechanic first to look at it, well guess what, he was actually trying to get me to give it over to someone else to put their hands on it so they can say sorry we were not the last ones to touch it and we don't know what the mechanic did so sorry we can't help you now. I caught on to that in an instant! What a scammer!! After I said no I'm not doing that he said oh, it's probably the pink lights you have installed in the trunk, I said no I had those lights installed years ago back in 2012 when I first bought this car!! What an idiot!! Then he said well it must be the cars computer system, the car has a brain that has wires to it so it must not be registering with the cars brain, we will have to charge you $200 for someone to come and look at it and if it's not that cause then we have to charge you. I was furious! So I ended up taking my car to the dealership and they looked at it and found out that it was completely wired incorrectly and it was not the cars computer. Charged me $60 for Caliber collision mistake that they wouldn't own up to. A bunch of jokes, liars, scammers and losers there! Please stay away! Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with Caliber Collision. We brought car in for repair from damage done by a Valet Service. Received estimate, and left car with them to begin repairs, as we were heading out of town for a few days. While out of town, we received a call from Sam stating they needed some additional paperwork. They also wanted to transport the car to Stuart Florida (???). I was not completely comfortable with moving the car farther away, but asked when car would be done. Sam said he would call back and let me know. Returned from trip on Wednesday. Never rec'd any call. Called Caliber on Friday for update on car progress. Absolutely nothing had been done. We asked Sam why he never called us to either ask again if they could move the car to Stuart or otherwise do SOMETHING with car; He had no answer except a very short sorry; it's been a busy week. Talked to Manager, Bob, regarding series of events. His customer service skills not much better. He stated he "would talk to Sam about not calling us back." No true effort to try to address their error. Would recommend to all to find another provider. If this is how they handle a problem when service has not even been delivered yet, imagine how they would handle it if there WAS a problem with your repair. read more

Damaged the undercarriage of my car and dropped it at Calibur Collision in Jupiter for repair on 7/13/17. Got the car back in 8/8/17. The transmission (that was replaced with a lifetime guarantee) went out the next day - yes 1 day. The second transmission was installed and I got that back around 8/15/17, of which they paid for the rental car backing their lifetime guarantee. That transmission went out on 8/31/17 - back to Calibur. I was going on vacation, with a rental car, leaving 9/17/17. They didn't want to pay for the rental car while I was gone for 3 weeks as my car would be ready while I was gone - I was fine with this and returned their car on 9/16/17, and rented a personal rental car. I got home from vacation around 10/6/17 and they delivered my car to my residence - very good!! Now for the bad part - in December, I got a charge on my credit card for the rental car while they were installing the THIRD transmission. I've tried for 6 months to get this resolved, at one point being told it was all taken care of and a credit would be applied to my credit card. To date, now 7/9/18, still no credit. I stopped in multiple times and made multiple phone calls to Han trying to get this fixed and it's STILL NOT done. So, time for a review. I'm out $300+ while my car was being repaired under their guarantee. Until this issue everything was fine, I was treated very well. I feel they should honor their guarantee and my rental car, as they did for the second transmission. read more

I took my vehicle to caliber collision in Jupiter due to a detached bumper. Unfortunately it was caught underneath by a parking stopper. My estimator was Gene Whelan. The original estimate was $1107. I asked Gene if he thought there was going to be any more damage when they start removing. He said probably not due to the fact that the car wasn't actually hit...the bumper was pulled. I get a call a few days later from Gene stating they found 'very minor' damage and stated that the total cost now was going to be $1514 ($407 additional which is a 36 percent increase!) so today I pick the car up and the car was just not fixed correctly. The bumper and hood does not line up. I was told there was nothing they could to. Gene kept telling me that 'you know the car has been in an accident before right?' I don't mind paying top dollar for quality work that is done right. However this was not. I would definitely steer away from this shop. read more
