Right away, he made me feel like I was in good hands. They took a look at the chip in my windshield and explained everything I needed to know. I was able to ask questions and get honest answers, which really helped me feel confident about making the best decision for my car. They also explained that in the state of Florida, auto insurance policies often include coverage for chip and windshield repairs, and that these repairs can be done for free. I had no idea! I was also told it is a Florida law that your windshield can be replaced 1 time for free. I felt really confident bringing my car in today to get the chip repaired. The whole experience was easy, informative, and reassuring. Great customer service from the moment I walked through the door!

I checked on line and made an appointment for Friday, August 21st- the only available option was to do a 'Drop and Go'. All communications said bring your car in by 9:30AM. I dropped my vehicle off at 8:30am. Initially, I asked how long it would take, the woman working the desk said '3 hours'. The man says 'don't give her a time'. I leave my vehicle with the understanding that the car would be available before 5pm when the shop closes. I was told I'd get a message when it's ready. I called the listed number for the West Palm Beach location and speak to 3 different automated voice prompts before reaching the main customer service at the national level who says let me try and call the store. This was at 4:00pm, Naomi, the representative says they may or may not be done by 5pm. I take a ride-share over and my car at 4:54 is parked exactly where it was at 8:30 this morning. The woman at the front desk is repeating everything I say, with no additional detail. It's 5:12pm and my car has just been taken into the back for service. Expected work time: 2 hours. I can't stress this enough, please choose a different retailer, location or overall option. No apology or explanation for the inconvenience. 1 star is too generous.

After the replacement was completed, they left glass, not only on the inside of my trunk door, but also in the inside of my trunk deck, where is not reachable once the glass is put in. Also, my rear-view camera was damaged. When I called next day and asked them to come and correct the job, they set an appointment and did not come. Same thing next day. And then, on the third appointment set to fix the mistake, that was due to their technicians mistake, they called and said they will not be coming to fix it because they do not possess the equipment capable to do the job. They Offered no refund or discount. I was hung up on repeatedly, appoints that were made were no shows 3 days in a row. The level of professionalism was horrid and offensive. I was promised a call from a supervisor multiple times and never received one. All in all, I spent more money correcting their mistakes, than it cost me to repair the glass itself. I asked multiple times for the company to come take their glass back in return for my money, which they refused and offered me a $20 check in exchange, after I paid almost $500 for the repair. All in all, it was the most offensive and disappointing job I've ever been a part of. Highly recommend staying clear of this company!

Update: the manager reached out to me and left a gruff message begrudgingly apologizing and then…read moregiving excuses about how stressful this industry is with vendors and other factors...basically, there was no responsibility or ownership that was taken for my experience, just more excuses. My car and insurance company sent me to Gerber Collision for repairs, and while things started off smoothly, my experience quickly turned frustrating and disappointing. When I called to schedule the estimate, they were very clear about the importance of being on time and sticking to their schedule -- something I completely respect and support. However, when I arrived on time for my appointment, that same courtesy was not extended to me. The estimator, Taylor, was nowhere to be found initially, then eventually returned, took her time with paperwork and conversations in the garage, and left me waiting an extra 30 minutes. To make things more uncomfortable, the manager began loudly yelling across the room to someone at the front desk, then pointed at me asking, "Is that the person you're talking about?" It was awkward and unsettling, especially with a large man raising his voice and drawing attention to me unnecessarily -- turns out he was referring to someone on the phone. But the unprofessionalism and lack of awareness were apparent. After the estimate was approved by my insurance company, I scheduled a time to drop off the car. I later tried to move up the drop-off by a week since I was going to be out of town for work and thought the timing would be more efficient. I called during business hours to request the change, but never received a callback. A simple confirmation or polite decline would have gone a long way in showing they value customer service -- but I got silence instead. I dropped the car off as originally scheduled and picked up a rental. Taylor kept me loosely updated, telling me the car might be ready within a couple of days. I explained that I would be heading out of town again the following week and asked her to please give me a heads-up the day before it would be ready so I could position myself closer to their shop. She agreed. However, I didn't hear anything until 5:15 PM on Friday -- just 15 minutes before closing -- when she called to say the car was ready but I likely wouldn't make it in time. I reminded her that I had asked for a heads-up, especially given my travel schedule. Rather than take accountability or show empathy, she became defensive and slightly rude, repeatedly saying she "couldn't control it." When I mentioned I would be writing a review, her attitude suddenly shifted and she became more accommodating -- which was even more frustrating. Why does it take the threat of a negative review to inspire decent customer service? On top of all that, the original estimate wasn't accurate, and they had to submit three separate addendums to my insurance company. While I understand that sometimes additional costs are discovered, that many revisions suggest the original estimate was rushed or not done thoroughly. Overall, I wouldn't return to Gerber Collision. Between the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and inconsistent customer service, the experience fell far below expectations. I hope this review encourages them to make much-needed improvements
