Please don't waste your time and money. 11/2 years later, less than 10,000 miles on the transmission and it has failed. 4500.00 wasted. They also bent my transmission oil pan removing it from the truck. It was leaking fluid constantly. They finally fixed that. After the rebuild it was overheating and Matt couldn't fix the problem. Then the torque converter went bad. Then they replaced that. When they got done with that they didn't replace the crush washer on the drain plug. I replaced that myself and that's when I found all the metal particles in the fluid. I've had nothing but problems with this transmission rebuild. I am presently seeking legal advise .

Unfortunately, I have to provide an update to my original 5-star review. After having some work…read moredone at the shop, my windshield washers weren't working, but I had just assumed I was out of fluid (even though the low fluid light was not on). I topped it off with washer fluid and the next morning it had emptied completely on my driveway. Turns out that some of the mounts for the reservoir were missing (the ARS mechanic had removed it to work on my vehicle) and because of that, the reservoir cracked and was leaking. Secondly, the low fluid switch wires were broken which is why I didn't know it was leaking before. I'm assuming the wires snapped when the mechanic removed it (it's hard to see the plug because it's tucked behind the reservoir). I reached out to ARS for help, but never received a response. So, I spent a few hours of my weekend trying to patch the cracked washer reservoir and re-soldered the wires. I was able to reduce the rate of the leak but it still drips out. I'll eventually have to purchase a new tank ($80 + shipping) and level sensor ($45 + shipping) and replace them. I also noticed most of the plastic clips that hold various parts of the undercarriage are missing. When I had work done at the Honda dealership, it was a bit more expensive, but they would always replace these clips, and I never received my vehicle back with broken parts. It's a shame because otherwise this would have been a good experience.

I wanted him to do an overall good look at the vehicle because I was driving to Texas with that car. The car had been sitting for about 6 months. Dropped it off Friday at end of day. I called on Monday around 11 for a status to figure out the rest of my day. No call back. I just showed up. The car didn't even move. He told me I had the a code P0344. He did nothing. Zero. And had an attitude the whole time. Kept talking over me. I asked what the part number was for the job quote he gave me. He said "I don't know, I'm not in the business of selling parts". I said "but you do buy them for your business to repair the vehicle". And he just shut up after that. I would never recommend this place. He sucks. A lot. AAMCO should get rid of him.

Recently, I managed to let the engine overheat and ultimately it just couldn't be saved as far as that goes. However, with a great deal of effort from Mark and his mechanic, Roberto, after replacing the engine and several other major parts, it's running great finally. Countless issues were involved, especially since it's so difficult to get parts on a 2003 Jeep. However, I've now had it completely painted. Looks like a new car and runs just as good ! Mark always gets right back with me ( and, admittedly, I can be just as high maintenance as my antique almost car!) he lets me know what's going on, good or bad.
