Got my first quake policy only last year. Although I had lived in 5 homes (presently I live in our 5th home) I never carried a quake policy due to the exorbitantly high premiium and the grossly high deductible. Mr Ara helped me get my policy from Guideone Insurance. However, 3 months ago, it wrote to say it would not renew my policy because it no longer will offer quake insurance in CA. Of course, I called Calico, left a message with an AI lady who obtained my name, phone #, and reason for the call. The next business day, Mr Ara dutifully returned my call. Originally I had given Calico a bad review because I was unable to find the page of the INFINITY branch I was trying to give a review to and Calico was my broker. However, I'm almost at the very end of my claim process for an accident I was involved in and not at fault for. I had not called Calico to inform them of the accident because I was already dealing with INFINITY Ins. directly and they had even bad mouth Calico, chalking them up as brokers who will say anything to sell a policy. But Ara from Calico called me and took care of me as much to his ability. I wish I would have called him earlier because I had such a hard time trying to get in contact with ANY Infinity agents including managers but Ara made me feel like I was first priority. He was able to get a hold of an agent as well as a manager and always kept me informed and followed up with me quickly. He even helped by giving me quotes to other Insurance co.'s since he knew I was so angry & dissatisfied with Infinity. I've been a Calico customer for a few years already even since my previous vehicle and have always been satisfied. Whatever next Insurance co. Got bait and switch by Eduardo from calico. I received a call saying they can lower my insurance rate. I gave them a call back to talk it over and the coverage that I needed. Went over my driver history and the cars I wanted to have coverage with Eduardo . Then I came in the next morning and only had 1 customer in front of me and waited for almost an hour. I told the front desk girl that I hope the price I was quoted was correct and she kept on saying yes, if that's what we quoted you, it is correct. I can understand maybe $10 -$20 difference per month, BUT $80, was missed quoted over $450 for a 6 month policy . Watch out for this companies BAIT & SWITCH practices. read more
