He soaked the components to remove rust, meticulously cleaned the interior in the hot sun, vacuumed everything, and brought the grill back to a true like-new, showroom condition. What really impressed me was his attention to detail and professionalism. He covered my concrete with multiple layers of plastic and even set up a tent with a fan so that no chemicals or dust spread around the area. That level of care is rare. Tony did an incredible job cleaning my grill. Filthy was an understatement, and now it's so clean it looks brand new. He even cleaned the grill accessories (the grill pan and the smoker.) My temperamental ignition switches now fire up the grill instantly. There are a couple of parts that need repairing and Tony advised me on which parts to order. We use our outdoor built-in gas grill often and it gets grimy and gummy after a year or so. Tony Castillo did such a fabulous job cleaning my entire grill unit that it actually looks new again! He cleaned everything: the burners, grates, inside the hood, the lower box, and even the briquets, and he fixed the igniter system. This was the second time I have used Tony and the results have been excellent both times. He covers the patio with plastic sheeting, sets up a canopy/tent to contain the debris as he uses his array of equipment to clean and wire-brush the grates. Cant imagine it getting any better than this. Tony is a one man band that really knows how to play all the instruments/tools in his super large kit. Never had someone do this before so thought it was going to be a more superficial cleaning. No sir. My bbq is a 6 burner Napoleon which is a nice one that had never been properly cleaned and was about 10 years old. Still working but finicky and not getting as hot as it used to. Tony is booked way up so I had to wait a few weeks but thats a good sign. He had great communication to work out the details and gave me a solid price up front. He shows up right on time and proceeds to take 30 minutes to just unpack and unload his van with a crazy amount of gear! I'm talking this is like a supercar mechanics pit set up. Lots of big pro tool boxes and more stuff. Very impressive! I ask Tony to be careful of the new pavers in my backyard and he says he has that covered. And boy did he mean "covered"! He laid out so many tarps and had an accordion portable mini structure with top that he put out next to the bbq to do all his work. He does hard core grinding, and sanding and lubrication, cleaning and adjustments to valves and more. He basically fully dissasembles your bbq down to the shell and goes to town. And time spent adjusting the regulator and adjustments too and tells you what is good and what he may not have been able to save. He cares. Not a lot of folks in this business do. He spent literally from 9:30 to 4pm doing this one job. He is meticulous and thorough. So worth every penny compared to other "home service" folks who come over and do a job that takes them 30 minutes and dont work anywhere near as hard as Tony. And not one bit of mess or damage, stains or metal shavings to be seen anywhere! You can tell he takes pride in his work and has been doing it a while and knows his craft. And it is a craft when you think about it. Thats a good thing. I can put up pictures later but needless to say the bbq looks as good or better than new but more importantly this thing actually heats up faster and better than when new and I assembled it. I couldnt believe how fast and hot it got and cant wait to go to town on some good cooking . Meat beware! So while it may seem like a lot to spend, if you have a decent or high quality grill ( and use it), it's worth every penny to get it back to new condition. If you have some cheaper grill you may prefer to just buy a new one but I suggest buying a good grill. Tony did an incredible job on my 20 year old built-in gas grill. He arrived on time and then after assessing my disaster of a bbq grill, Tony took the time to set up an enclosed work station for the cleaning. He then took my grill apart and cleaned all separate parts (the burners, the grates, the knobs, the ignitor, the front panel, etc) using power tools if necessary. At the end of the process, Tony had my grill looking almost new. What was originally black, charred and rusted, is now shiny silver. And no mess after he was done.
