First, I called for an appt and didn't get a callback for several days. Finally got a callback and an appt set up. Was told based on my pictures that the cleaning would be $250 plus additional costs for any parts that may need to be replaced. After several days of back and forth to give them a chance to find a broken part, I was told they could find it despite my giving them exact make and model number. Ok fine. The broken push button starter was agreed upon but was told the cleaning was now $400. Ok, I assume this cleaning is going to be really good so fine, I agreed. The appt date came and my grill was "cleaned". But when I got home from work, although I see see big improvements on the inside, there was no cleaning done to the single stove top just to the right of the grill, none done to the grease pan at the bottom, and none to the gas knobs. Upon closer look at the inside of the grill, there was still grease left on several places enough that when I moved the grill tops, my hands were black and greasy. Now, I admit the grill was much cleaner than it started but for $400 shouldn't the grill be darn near immaculate??!! When I asked why th rest of the grill wasn't cleaned or at least wiped down, I was told it would be additional costs! The owner did offer to come out and clean it again but at this point I refused. I can't believe they charge this much and only clean the inside of the grill to about an 80% level. Both Bob and Nancy are nice enough over the phone but maybe make sure your workers do a better job when charging those kinds of prices. Next time, I'll just buy some easy-off and a few sponges and save myself $380

I needed to have my 35 + year old Barbecues Galore igniter replaced and the unit cleaned. I…read morecontacted several companies through Yelp and all of them had a non-refundable quote fee ranging from $60 to $150. There was no way I was going to agree to pay a fee for a quote or quotes that I would reject! However, Eric of BBQ Buds gave me a quote of $50 to install the igniter and $150 to clean the unit based on our FaceTime conversation. His quote was the best. Also, and just as important since my BBQ is so old I didn't know the igniter part number. Eric did the research and found the part that was the closest match to what my 35 year old unit used. He also found new grates for the briquettes since my grate had rusted out and had to be replaced. Eric arrived on time and ran into problems since the igniter didn't fit. He spent over an hour just working on that. I expected him to give up, but he is tenacious and got it done! The new igniter works. He then thoroughly cleaned the unit which was the easier part as it turned out since the igniter was such a problem. We then had some issues with the old burners and tested them numerous times and arrived at an acceptable solution. I can't expect this unit to function like a new one since it is over 35 years old. The whole job took quite a bit longer than the 4 hours he budgeted and he charged me what he quoted. However, I couldn't just pay him the quoted price. I gave him a hefty tip. It's almost never that I find someone who works as hard and diligently as Eric. The ones I do know , I continue to re-hire. The ones that aren't, I never call again. Eric is a guy that I'd call again.
