Besides the hour long wait. Walk in situation for an X-ray. The waiting area is small, I got up and stood to allow some other folks to sit. Seemed like the wait was long, then I got my X-ray by the Tech. I know she wasn't but she moved like she was 200 years old. No sense of urgency with a full waiting room. My husband and I came in on a Friday afternoon and we were told there were no techs in the office so we couldn't do his x-ray, then gave us written times and days of when techs will be in, but told us they're lunch schedules vary all the time so to come in between certain days and hours. The front desk lady was nice, but what's the point of being an imaging center when you hardly ever have techs in to do the imagine? We left and were able to get in at a kaweah health image and breast imaging center off cypress that same day no problem. read more

This place is horrible. People who work there don't seem to care. I called ahead to check on my mom's appointment, and it was scheduled. When we arrived at the appointment, they claimed they didn't have an appointment that day. I assured them I had confirmed by calling in advance and explaining everything to them, but they didn't seem to listen. On November 3 2020, I was referred to California medical imaging to get an ultrasound done. The receptionist asked me for my insurance card. I informed her it was a new insurance, and I did not have the physical card, but I did have the card number. She stated that she tried to call it in, but was not successful. (My son had a doctors appointment that same day at another doctors office and they called it in and had no issues!) I asked what my options where and she stated for me to pay, out of pocket. I stated, that's why I have insurance. She said paying was the only option, but if I would bring the receipt back, along with the physical card, they would reimburse me the money. Out of having no other option I paid for this with my debit card . I returned the next day with my physical insurance card. They stated at that time it was too late, and I should have come in the day prior! They never even gave me a minimum time period to bring back my physical card. I asked what next and I need to speak to the office manager. The lady stated that I would have to wait until after the insurance company paid out, and then after that I would receive a refund from them. Since this conversation on the fourth, I have called numerous times and spoken with numerous people one being Amanda which is supposedly the office manager! I've always been given a promise of figuring it out and getting back to me and I never hear anything back. On December 18 after calling California medical imaging and not getting any results from that calls, I decided to call their billing department. The billing department informed me that I was listed as self-pay and they had not even sent them my insurance information! I've been called to request to speak with the doctor and he is conveniently unavailable and has not returned my call! The amount they owe me is $149! I also called my insurance company, and they stated they have had no claim submitted to them from California medical imaging! It is unbelievable to me that a company would treat their customers in this manner! read more

The receptionist at the front desk are very disrespectful, when talking on the phone with Maryanne, she was so obnoxious, she didn't allow me to finish my dialogue, she was already attacking me about my insurance, had she waited for me to finish, it would have explained her question. People are already sick, they have their medical issues, the last thing we need is some insensitive individual to conduct themselves in a very inappropriate and unprofessional manner; they need to re-evaluate on why they took the job, which I'm sure requires a Professional non-condescending manner and compassion, at least to pretend to care about every individual coming into your facility, and I know people hate to hear this fact, the reason you people have a job or a facility is because of the patient, and who wants to be sick, thank you?!!! Maryanne was insisting that I cancel my appointment that I've waited a month for, just because she wants to be "politically" correct about my insurance, again, not listening to me, and would clear within an hour. I am very nervous about the procedure and want everything to be okay with my health, again, maybe this isn't the job for Maryanne and other rude receptionist because they can't seem to perform their duties in a respectful professional manner. read more

When I have called in to change a referral appointment (more than once), the most awesome lady on the phone patiently listened to my request and helped me get an appointment quickly but at a better time for me. they use an outsourced billing company somewhere on the east coast. I had part of my bill paid by my insurance but was not aware there was a balance owed. (anthem shows $0 owed) their billing sent me to collections for $30 bucks without even letting me know there was a balance due! not one call or letter. lesson learned, I'll only do business in this town with companies that handle their OWN billing in house. read more

This place is a joke! Went in for a CT scan with contrast. This woman poked me four times when she got down to my hand she started wiggling the needle around and I screamed at her to stop. She went to see if her other coworker could come in and put the IV in she was told That he was busy doing two other studies. I then had to reschedule and make another appointment a week later. The reason I needed to be in there as soon as possible is because I have a hole in my stomach and they scheduled me a for a week later, please do not go here the wait time is unbelievably long And the women at the front desk are not very nice. They don't care about what's going on with you in your world. They're very rude and don't give a crap. Do not go here go to Kaweah Imaging. That's the place to go make an appointment there. You may wait 15 minutes, but it's a hell of a lot faster than California Imaging, it was the most horrible experience I've ever had. read more

The other two times Ive had an appointment today I knew they take walkins so as soon as I could I left my classroom and rushed from porterville to visalia. I walked up to the counter at 4:35 and asked if they could get me in, Her response was we dont take people after 4:30, I told her I rushed from porterville and she wouldnt even get up and check she responded with we have a porterville location (its not listed on their referral sheet) so now I get to lose two days of time if Porterville had been listed dont they think I would have saved myself the stress. The experience is genuinely the same each time with a pleasant greeting, And information exchange that is concise and clear. The front staff was very nice, but the US tech was rude. I went in for a Ultra Sound. The US tech called me back, didn't even introduce herself to me, and tells me to lay down. She went against the drs order on what kind of US was to to be done. I told her why the other US was requested. She then tells me that she got really good pics & didn't need the other kind.
