Cornwall-made with Jersey-sourced cream. If such details change anything, I don't know, all I know is this stuff is chilled excellence! The mint chocolate chip ice cream tasted like fresh mint -- I've never tasted such authentic mint flavor in an ice cream before, so they must use the real thing instead of, or in addition to, peppermint oil. I don't know who came in first, but I can't argue with the fact that this is pretty tasty ice cream in a pretty gorgeous location. The Ice cream is produced in Zennor, a tiny village with 28 inhabitants which we had passed through while walking the Cornish Coastal Path. The company is family run and the ice cream is made from milk from Daisy, Primrose and Sid Vicious, and many other Friesian cows on Tremedda Farm. They then produce about 30 different flavours of ice cream and sorbet which it then sells through this little shop in St Ives. The shop itself is tiny with just a couple of small tables, however they still manage to serve cream teas and coffees along side the ice creams. Its situated right on the beach front so perfect for take away, particularly when the Cornish sun is shining. I went for the orange and mascarpone flavour which was simply divine. Would I like a free wafer with that? Of course, does anyone ever say no?! I would have to agree with the Times, certainly one of the best ice creams I have been lucky enough to taste. Send some up to Sussex please!

You can buy cones to eat on the spot or tubs to take away. There's plenty of seating outside, and a small range of other foods to buy inside. They also serve lunches and dinners - sadly I didn't get a chance to sample any when I was last there, but the pizza in particular looked amazing and I will definitely be going back for a meal when I'm next in Cornwall. The fudge is well worth sampling, too!

This last time I visited there I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles that I really enjoyed and really were spicy and that's what I like, hot and spicy food. I've enjoyed their burgers and brunch there too.
