I gave them a fair shot but too many little things added up; the hair cuts weren't consistent and they would keep my dog in a cage for hours before they would even get to her. Eventually I left to another groomer who I have been thrilled with. Lately, it's been very difficult to get an appointment post covid so my normal groomer was backed up. Someone posted about this new place and I figured I give them a shot. When the day of the appointment came, I realized it's the old Mani Pedi but still felt like a new establishment deserves a chance especially post COVID. I should have listened to my gut. It turns out it is still the same people working there, just news owners. The had me pay before my dog was brought out. I paid 100 and tipped on top of that. In hindsight I should have waited to see her first. It's the worst haircuts she has ever gotten. She did have some knots which I pointed out when I came in knowing they may have to cut them out but they basically shaved her down all the way everywhere. Even where they just shaped her face, it's all uneven. They told me they cut her nails but couldn't smooth them down because they were out of the part/machine that does that. I took her to the car and sat for a bit. I never complain but went back in to talk to them. They basically told me that the owners would call me. I got an automatic text message after the service and left honest feedback. They emailed me again asking what the problem was and said the owners will call me next week as they are away. In 42 years, I have never left a bad review and I know business are struggling but want to avoid this happening to anyone else's pet.

Both my animals received care that was below my expectations. One surgery they promised a 2 inch incision, she was cut from the top of her shoulder to her underbelly. Medication just for that was close to $500 each time I left there and went to an animal hospital in Philly within 2 weeks it was done. Outrageous. He lost weight and they thought maybe it was a mass or infection. After she left, my normal hamster couldn't walk or breathe after the exam . They wound up putting him on oxygen and he died ten minutes later . I am not blaming them for his death but they definitely contributed. Working in the medical field as a nurse for 20 years he prob aspirated or maybe the tumor perforated when pressed (there was blood coming out his private areas). I do think it was the deep pressing . I know you have to do that to examine him but I think if I never brought him there , yea he may have passed in a few months peacefully in his home from a tumor - not traumatically after an exam. That morning he was running in his cage, eating , etc - they say this couldn't been avoided . Yea it could - if you didn't press so hard on my hamsters he would be alive. It happened immediately after he was examined. Now I'm devastated I blame myself for bringing him there. He prob would have passed at home in a few months, but peacefully with me. I won't ever go there again. She was nice but not that empathetic, I got him cremated and got charged 400 to leave without my hamster. Least they could do is pay for that. I'm sorry they def contributed to his death. I never write reviews I never complain, but when I feel something is a miss I have to say something esp with my medical knowledge. My poor Humphrey.

I am from Pittsburgh and was traveling to Cherry Hill, NJ for an event and our dog could not stay…read morewith us in our hotel. I scrambled to find boarding in Pittsburgh and nothing was available. I decided to look at options in the NJ/Philadelphia area. I have never boarded my pup before and was very nervous about it, for multiple reasons. 1) I don't think it's ever easy for anyone to leave their fur baby, 2) our pitbull is leash reactive and barks at other dogs on a leash- we are actively getting him training, but it's something he is still working on. I was nervous to take him to a boarding place in fear that they wouldn't be understanding with my dog. I heavily researched boarding options in NJ/Philly and found Lakeside. I inquired on their website about the dates I needed boarding and heard back quickly that those dates were available. I gave them a call and they were SO kind and answered all of my questions and expressed an understanding about my pup and his behavior- they said something along the lines of "we are very used to barking dogs- it's not something we are worried about at all", which made me feel relieved. Our pup, Axel, doesn't bark at dogs unless they are on a leash, but I was still worried. We had to leave a deposit in order to reserve our stay, which was no problem. Dropping him off was a breeze. I just called and let them know I was here and we took him to the drop-off/pick-up area. I gave them Axel's prepacked food, his blanket, and some toys. They encouraged us to give them a call whenever we wanted to check-in on him and they let us know they would post on Facebook the next day with some photos. Keep in mind... this was my first time dropping off my pup at a boarding place. So I was nervous. I called MULTIPLE times, and they NEVER made me feel bad about calling and always took the time to go check on him and give me the most up-to-date information on how he was doing. This eased my mind so much. I love that this kennel offers the pup their own outdoor spot, in addition to their indoor space. I also love that they offer one-on-one time with staff for an additional charge. Axel is a rescue dog and he spent a lot of time in a kennel situation in the past- so I wanted to make sure he got some one-on-one lovin' and attention. I was able to schedule Axel to get 3 walks with staff over the weekend, which I am sure he loved. Picking him up was a breeze and Axel clearly had relaxed a lot since his initial arrival- he was jumping all over the staff, giving them kisses- he clearly loved them :) The prices here are SUPER reasonable. It was under $100 for two nights and multiple walks. I am so glad we went with Lakeside :) If I find myself needing boarding in NJ again, I know exactly where I will go!

We board our precious kitty cat Alfie here and he always is well taken care of and comes back home…read morehappy! Staff is friendly and patient, facility and grounds always are clean and they're open 7 days a week. Even when we move further away, we will keep going to Lakeside for our boarding needs. We'll always miss Alfie poo when he's away, but always know that he's in good loving hands during that tough period of feline absence.

We just had our first experience at new creations after many unpleasant experiences at other chain…read moregroomers. Callie, our 5 year old lab/Border Collie mix has tons of energy and can be too much for some groomers to handle. Today she had her nails clipped and ground after a search for a new groomer. Jennifer took care of her, and managed to keep her calmer while she cut her nails. Jennifer understood the breed and how energetic they are. I was very pleased and it's worth the little bit extra. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, and my dog didn't come back sick. Callie's nails are 100% better than they were when we went in, and we will be going back.

They took care of our older kitty who would get very anxious when she would stay at the vet. Staying at home gave us peace of mind that she was in her favorite place and was being cared for. They've also kept an eye on the little feral cat we've "adopted", giving her fresh food and water. They also bring in our newspapers and mail. Very responsive, and they've worked out for us.

Fine, we're flexible and we know things come up. 7pm comes and we get a call from the owner saying she just got to Center City to do one of her cat sits and wouldn't be back to Delaware County until past 8pm and would have to reschedule...okay, again, we know things happen so we wanted to give her one more chance. We reschedule for the upcoming Tuesday at 6:30pm. At 6:45pm I called her, my patience running thin, to see where she was. She frantically answered her phone saying she was just about to call us, and that she had (wait for it .....) completely forgotten about all of her pet visits and client meetings for the day...............and can we reschedule for tomorrow. NO. Absolutely not. I'm not condoning lying, but at least make something up and don't tell me that you forgot about all of your appointments for the day!! I feel bad for the dogs and other pets that didn't get their visits that day. We will NOT be moving forward with P&P Sitters. Very unprofessional. It seems that the owner is spreading herself too thin with her service area (bad business decision) and doesn't have enough staff to run the company smoothly. Narrow down your service area so that you're not covering 3 counties over SW PA and focus on the quality of your service. This was very unprofessional and really disappointing. Not to mention a waste of two of my evenings in one week.

The owner asked for shot records(which is normal when boarding a dog) When we produced our shot records it says lab mix/ pit Bull mix on the form because when we first got our puppy we didn't know what his breed was and that's what the rescue guessed he was. We got a DNA test for our puppy and he is a lab mix with no pit Bull. When we told her that she demanded that we bring our dog to meet her to make sure he wasn't aggressive and that she would absolutely not board him without meeting him because of his breed even if it was incorrect on the paper. She stated that we could bring him Sat from 11-1 which is the day we needed him boarded. I asked if we could meet earlier because we needed him dropped off by 11 that day and if she didn't like him we would be screwed out of a puppy sitter and needed to know before the date of drop off if she would accept him. Very rudely she replied that she was very busy and had other dogs to attend to and that we could meet her early next month, which is way after the date we would need our puppy boarded. The owner of this business was unwilling to work with us and was very unprofessional and rude. I recommend you board your dog somewhere that has time for their customers.
