Later, they had miss written a doctors note for me, and when I called back to correct it, they never returned my call, and established care elsewhere instead. Then they sent me a bill 3 months later, and when I called to pay it they left me on hold for 10 mins, then hung up on me. When they finally did answer the next time, the receptionist gave me a whole riggamaroll about how that isn't her job. I have no idea what your division of labor is, and I don't care. Then when I asked if she could confirm the balance, she kept talking over me and telling me I was yelling. At that point, I just hung up and figured out how to navigate their archaic website. The doctors might be fine, I could barely tell because I only got 45 mins of actual visit out of this whole fiasco. But I would absolutely not waste your time here.

I had a very bad experience with this doctor and I would not recommend her nor her services…read more I came to this office with an open mind but was severely disappointed and infuriated by these services. My blood test came back a bit irregular which usually would mean a follow-up test is required to ensure that that treatment for the "illness" is truly required. Dr.Kamalinee didn't send me to follow-up testing - she mistaking our TOLD me that I had this disease before evening confirming it (note: it was a false positive). Aka, I was told I had a deadly illness before the doctor even KNEW for sure. I then proceeded 11 total additional medical appointments and blood test to treat this illness that I DID NOT HAVE which were VERY expensive... hundreds of dollars. The doctor didn't double check her tests before writing me off to expensive specialist who I didn't even have to go to. EVERYTHING about this process was a mess including scheduling which the office was not great at coordinating. Dr.Kamalinee kept insisting that I see doctors who weren't in my insurance who wouldn't even accept me. It was a waste of time. Dr.Kamalinee was very rude when I called the office with questions regarding my concern with the illness that she herself mistakingly diagnosed me with. In fact, she responded to my call by shouting"Who do you think you are trying to call my office, huh?! You call me... who are you?!" into the phone - I assume she didn't realize I was a patient calling in. Regardless, is that really how you answer your office phone? I contacted four people who I had been in close contact with to let them know that they likely had this deadly disease as well. This essentially put more people in unnecessary distress than needed for a false positive that Dr.Kamalinee failed to confirm before stating that I HAD this illness and needed treatment immediacy for. I would not recommend this doctor. I went through a month of turmoil and tests due to her mistaken actions.

I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room before being called back & she's very thorough in her exam (she doesn't try to rush you in & out like some medical cattle call). I was so pleasantly surprised by the fact that SHE actually returned my phone call, not a nurse or assistant - Dr. DiFresco herself (and she got back to me in 10 minutes!). No other physician has ever called me back themselves, let alone within minutes of calling. She's originally from the same neighborhood in Brooklyn that I'm from, so between her sweet, calming nature & her Brooklyn accent, I felt like I was right back home with my mom taking care of me again. Which is of course not covered by insurance. MDVIP is the McDonalds of doctors except with a $1,500 annual fee for the privileged of being able to buy a Big Mac.

I had not heard much about her prior to my visit but her profile on GWU's website indicated that she was well qualified to serve as our new doctor. Being relatively healthy young adults, our consultations were fairly straightforward and uneventful. Below are my overall observations: -Dr. Coe is easy to talk to...very down-to-earth. -The office is in a convenient location...about a 5 block walk from Foggy Bottom Metro. -The office staff is super friendly and helpful. -Blood work can be completed in the same building on the 1st floor (no wait unlike most other facilities around DC). -21st century connection to the office / my medical information - I'm enrolled in GWU's medical website to order Rx refills, receive test results, ask Dr. Coe questions, etc. Provided that my wife and I continue to reside in the DC area for awhile, I foresee us remaining under the care of Dr. Bonita Coe.
