I tried for two weeks to make a complaint to corporate and they have not returned any of my calls to ensure that I have what is needed medically for my care. They couldn't even pretend to resolve it by saying if I pay this unfair fee I can be seen right away ---- I arrived 20 minutes early but was unable to locate handicap-accessible parking to fit my vehicle due to construction and blocked spaces in the nearby garages. While searching for parking, I called the office around 10:00 a.m. to inform them of my situation and ask whether I could still be seen by being worked in or did they want me to reschedule. I was transferred between three different call center representatives before finally connecting with someone. I have attached a photo I took today because I had to return to this same building to see another provider. The spots are still blocked off and not van accessible to allow for access for a person in a wheelchair like my son. By the time I found a parking spot at 10:20 am, I was told not to come in by the call center staff and that I would be charged a no-show fee, despite being on the phone with their call center for over 20 minutes trying to get help. At no point did I attempt to miss the appointment, I was actively trying to attend and communicate with the office because this is important for me to try to get a handle on my own health care. I explicitly asked them to put me through to the office and verify that I could not be seen. I was told no one answered the phone and also that they answered and said no... contradicting what the office manager later said. When the office manager, Jasmine Jackson, contacted me the following day, she stated that the office would have been able to see me had the call center communicated that I was waiting outside, but I was told not to come in by them even though I explicitly asked to be seen multiple times. Jasmine went further to blame me, suggesting that I should have parked in a lot a few blocks away behind a Tiffany's store. I am not familiar with the area, and I chose the two garages nearest the building and then street parking, because I was concerned about my ability to walk farther with my adult son, who has limited mobility and is difficult to push in a wheelchair, especially given my own back and extremity pain that limits my ablity to walk long distances. I also spoke with Kelly in the business office and Stacey in the call center, both of whom said they would follow up with me regarding this issue. Neither has contacted me as promised, demonstrating a continued lack of responsiveness from the office. I am concerned now that I have been abandoned for care because they are prioritizing this no show fee for an appointment I begged to attend as soon as I figured out how to safely get my son and I inside over my actual health status, knowing my medical condition impacts a vulnerable person who relies on my care.

I do think he cares about his patients and I am going to keep my follow up with him. This review is based on my interaction with the front desk. I never got to the doctor visit stage…read more First, the woman behind the desk was rather cold and rude in the first place, but not everyone is warm and fuzzy in the doctors office. But after I handed over my ID and insurance card, I was told to take a seat which I did. The ladies behind the front desk were speaking to each other but I wasn't listening until I heard "chin Chong, chin Chong"... which raised my hackles. I looked up from my phone and said, "are you serious?!" To which one of them asked, "why are you listening to us?... or something to that effect. I said because you're loud enough to hear and I find that horribly offensive. One woman - the one that was originally rude, said something with a rude, sarcastic smirk but what was most horrifying is that they were outraged that I had heard them. I, admittedly, became quite loud myself. I am afraid I can't help it when I'm emotional, but I take racist offenses quite personally. The office manager took me to her office - where I had originally refused to go because she seemed to be blaming me for the incident rather than her employees. But I turned around and went back because I thought maybe she could put me at ease about what happened and I am in a lot of pain and have waited a long time for this appointment. The office manager said that I was the one that was out of line by disturbing the other patient in the waiting room. There was a woman who did express her disdain at me for being loud. Again, sorry, not sorry. The office manager said the office had recently gone through a training about ethnicity and they were well aware of how to behave, and one of the women at the front desk was half Asian and she was retelling a story and that's why those words were used. Sounds like a decent explanation but I still don't want to hear it. Again, I left work for this appointment that took over a month to get. I don't want to hear people mimicking the sounds of what they think Asians sound like. I just need an efficient front desk to sign me in and behave professionally. If I did this in my office, I would be let go. No matter the back story. And at some point the office manager made it a point to tell me the doctor I was about to see was Ethiopian, which seemed strange to me as well. I don't care where she is from as long as she is a graduate of a medical school and works to help me feel better. Race and ethnicity doesn't play a role unless you're saying loud mimicking noises in the office space. The nurse who eventually took me back to a room was kind and very professional. And she seemed sorry to see me leave, but once seated in the doctor's office alone to think, I started to cry because I felt humiliated and belittled. I left the office and hope another doctor is able to see me soon. I would like to hear that this office is doing office etiquette and professionalism training along with their training on racism.

I initially saw him for orthotics. Dr Firestone was tireless in making sure that the orthotics were exactly right and called the manufacturer numerous times to have them modified until they were right for my foot. I also saw him for a painful toe. His treatment quickly and gently resolved the problem. Most recently a neuroma was causing pain and hindering my ability to take the long walks that I love. After carefully examining my foot and my orthotic Dr Firestone felt that a modification to my orthotic would help resolve the problem. Dr Firestone personally sent a picture to the orthotic manufacturer detailing exactly what he wanted done. He will contact me when they are ready. I know from my previous experience with him that he will not be satisfied until " he makes it right for me." Dr Firestone' s expertise, empathy and tireless pursuit of finding the best treatment for my foot problems has earned my kudos and deepest thanks!

I took classes here in Acupressure and I just want to say that I struck a gold mine when I found the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine. The classes were taught by Linda Khanzetian, a Doctor of Natural Health. Dr. Linda is an excellent teacher. I could not have asked for a better teacher than someone with her background and level of experience. She's thorough, patient, and answered most of my questions before I could even ask them. The wisdom that she shared I could not have discovered in a book on the subject or picked up from instructional videos. More than anything, her passion for the natural healing arts came through loud and clear. To say the least, it inspired me and further motivated my desire to practice Acupressure. At the conclusion of the classes, I understood a lot and felt like I received what I needed to pursue this area of the healing arts. I should also mention that I found the spa setting there to be very conducive to learning.
