Ok.. so I threw my back out.. gardening at that, about two months ago. Thought I got it straightened out. Then threw it out again while on vacation in Hawaii. I tried massages, yoga, stretches, hot wraps, the vibrating gun, everything. I knew I had to throw in the towel and get help so I contacted Calm Spirit and I was connected with Gina Williams. She was so thorough in asking what my issues and concerns were, got me set up and after my session with her she had me lay on this pulsing mat that helped ease the pain even more. In one sitting, I could already tell my back was so much better. I booked a four session as I wanted to come back a second time to really get in there and alleviate the remaining pain and she did. She's amazing and my back pain is gone! The great part is that you can share you prepaid sessions so I am sharing my sessions with my hubby so that he can get some work done on his shoulder. Of course, with Gina! She's great and I highly recommend! The staff there is so kind, they offer all sorts of teas and ginger candy while you wait. It really is a wonderful place. read more

The VA set me up with this office and I've only dealt with Diane but she is amazing. So friendly and really cares about your well-being. The office itself is nice and peaceful. They let me leave my 8yo in the waiting area with my phone as a distraction. The front desk is friendly and check in has been smooth. They gave me a free sample of a powder that helps with feeling full to see if it works but I have yet to try it. 4 stars because trying to get an appointment can be a real pain. They go really fast and show up via texts. I'm the kind of person that needs appointments in advance because of life circumstances. read more

I have been seeing Gina Marie Farmer for acupuncture to treat my back pain and my experience has been transformative! I had a MRI and was told by an orthopedic doctor that surgery was my only option for long term relief. I am so glad I looked into alternative options. To preface my review I feel that a bit of background is necessary. I've had the same massage therapist for 25+ yrs. Sadly, my therapist is currently battling cancer which makes for more bad days than good days. With that length of relationship, my therapist would know what techniques my body required bc of the deep knowledge gained from so many years as a client. I have pretty much every ailment--if there is a medical condition, I've got it. I've had appts with a handful of other massage therapists that have glowing reviews. Unfortunately, after my sessions the doubt that a true client wrote the reviews would occur. Luckily, Yelp's search finally included Calm Spirit & the bios of all their massage therapists. The bios are all in-depth as to which areas of expertise their therapists have--and they do not focus on the trendy massage word of the moment. The bios include whom specializes in such things like myofascia issues. When I became brave enough to attempt another massage therapy session, I discovered that the only therapist that had a last minute opening was Nico Lamas. Nico's bio is very thorough with all of the areas that he is knowledgeable. I am very pleased that I booked that first appt with Nico. He took the time to read my lengthy, as in War & Peace dissertation, of all my diagnosed health issues. He had questions--then discussed his approach to my issues. For the few other therapists that I've tried, they all had solutions without asking any questions. Big Red Flag when the therapist isn't individualizing their technique. As of now, I've had two 60 min massage therapy sessions with Nico Lamas. I knew when I left the first appt, that I would be coming back for future massages. At the 2nd appt, Nico asked how I felt from the previous session, what I felt worked etc. Yet again, Nico also approached my health issues from an individual perspective--not a one size fits all approach. We discussed various methods that I could work on on my own as well as any type of supplemental supports that would be beneficial. I most definitely will be continuing to book my massages with Nico and would highly recommend him. As a side note--all my previous massages have been from women. I did not know if I would feel comfortable with a man massage therapist. Nico Lamas exudes the highest level of professionalism with his techniques and craft. I did not feel uncomfortable at any time during either of my sessions. If the prospect of changing to a male therapist is a possible issue, I can attest that Nico Lamas would ease any doubts with his professional approach. read more

Great little spot. I have no idea how long this has been here but it is next to where I get my gas and is almost incognito. It's beautiful inside and the staff is amazing. I got dry needle for a headache and had a great service. I did see that they take insurance but they didn't take mine so make sure you look into that before you make an appointment. I was able to buy a supplement to help with tension headaches as well. I am looking forward to coming back for acupuncture for my foot. read more

I went here on a friend's recommendation after I was suffering from extreme vertigo. It hit out of no where with no history and absolutely no explanation, too. I had gone to the er a few days prior, and was given Valium and a bag of all sorts of meds that actually had so many side effects listed I was afraid to take them. I used acupuncture religiously when I was going through ttc and IVF. I saw amazing results so I decided to go as soon as my last spell subsided and I am so beyond glad I did. I believe in eastern medicine practices that have been used for centuries. The staff was awesome. They got me in immediately. They didn't treat me like I was crazy or needed tons of meds. They helped me get into the room since I was still dizzy. Nicole was my practitioner and I think she is in her true calling. She was so thorough, kind, and knew her stuff. I saw her for a month, weekly treatments, and I believe her treatment was what cured me. I have zero doubts. She assessed me each week and placed the needles in different places each time. Checked my pulse and my tongue. Took notes on everything... she was just awesome. I mixed her care with chiropractor adjustments with Dr. Michael (also absolutely fabulous and kind/helpful). Both were so awesome I want to keep going just for maintenance. The other thing is they offer packages which are more affordable as my insurance doesn't help with this. I can't speak highly enough of this little place - outside looks are deceiving, inside has been completely redone and is very clean and well managed space with lots of private treatment rooms. I scheduled both for chiropractic and acupuncture. They were recommended to me. I went in for my lower back and hips. I was told 8 would be sore the next day. I wasn't but the following day and every since I have been in so much more pain than when I went in. I had no problem with my neck but now I have decreased side to side motion and it is constantly sore. My lower back has considerable more pain than before but my hips are the same. I also struggle with stiffness in bending my neck forward. It has been 3 weeks now and there is no improvement. I was hoping I would go back to just my normal problem and pain.I will now have to seek out an osteopath and hope they can improve my situation. I just pray there is no permanent damage. read more

I have been having numbness and pain in my hips and legs. I'd had acupuncture/chiropractic once before years ago and was amazed at the results. I Googled acupuncture/chiropractic and Calm Spirit came up in my area. It was very easy to make an appointment for the next week. Dr. Ashli was very professional and asked me a lot of questions about my condition and history before giving my back a cursory exam. She recommended a quick "adjustment", led me to the Chiropractic room and spent 5 minutes adjusting my back. Then came the acupuncture. The room had light music and stream sounds and the whole experience was very relaxing. It was later that night that I realized how much my range of motion had improved. Fabulous massage with Jill, she always finds the sore spots and relieves that pain. She provides firm pressure as a general rule, however can adjust to your preference. I also obtain great acupuncture treatments from Sonal, who listens so well to my needs and provides great relief from chronic or acute pain. I usually go to their other location. I learned that they closed that location so I called and made an appt to the new location. I explained I'm 36 weeks pregnant and in a lot of discomfort. I provided my contact information which they already have on my file. I muster all energy I have to drive to this appointment and when I showed up the front desk lady said that the "one thing" she didn't mentioned on the phone was the fact that the charges to this location where DOUBLE what I paid on the other location. Then she proceeded to try and sell me a package. There was no ownership to the fact that I was misled to come to this location and they didn't bothered to warned on the phone of the difference in fees. Even after I told her I was pregnant!!! There was no attempt to make this right or at least call me to give me a heads up that they were planning to charge me twice what I used to pay. This is dishonest and frankly abusive given that I'm about to deliver a baby and driving here took a lot of stamina out of me. read more

Lexie is a lifesaver. I typically get an acupuncture treatment to help with stress, mood, or sleeping disorders. Lexie always asks questions to ensure she understands the full picture. During a recent visit, she found out I was suffering from never-ending, pre-menopausal, bleeding. I had seen several ob/gyns and doctors, who were unable to stop the bleeding. (I can't take hormones.) Lexie stopped the bleeding with acupuncture. Amazing! Who knows what else she can do. You should go see her and find out! read more
