The staff that greet you at the front desk are extremely helpful, polite, & always have a welcoming attitude! They work very efficiently along with the rest of the staff in the office to get you any information or answers you may have in regards to the practice, their services, schedule, insurance, etc! The nurses doing the intake are also quite friendly, with a very warm smile, no matter what time of day you might be seen, considering the long hours they work on their feet, that says a lot about their attitudes, & how they value their jobs, & the patients that they see. Very rarely is the wait any longer than 30 minutes! My absolute favorite person to see their, is Miss. Wendy! She is absolutely wonderful, very personable, & makes you feel comfortable! She never makes me wait for her, for more than a few minutes while she finishes up with her other patients. read more

This was by far the worst excuse for an Urgent Care that I have ever seen. No one at reception even bothered to look up when I walked through the door. When I finally got checked in the lobby was filthy and full of school aged children running rampant , with no supervision. There was no attempt by the parents to to get them to turn down the volume on their devices or to to stop yelling and running through sick people. The staff never once asked them to do so either. The doctor I was lovely and I would love to see her again but there's no way I'd go back there again. My visit was prior to the pandemic so I can only imagine what it must be like now. read more

Not a fan. NP was great, but the rest was a hot mess. I needed a blood test, and likely, an injectable medicine. Upon arrival, there was a sign and an empty chair in the vestibule advising me to stop and wait to have my temperature checked. There was no one there. No one in the glass-enclosed reception area looked my way. So after a few minutes, I just walked in, where someone ran out to get my temperature taken. Paperwork was the old paper forms from the 90s that I could have filled out online when I pre-registered, but, OK. The nurse practitioner, Nhih, saw me quickly and was really friendly and knowledgeable. She belongs at a better facility! The blood was taken. The injectable medication, a super common medication, was out-of-stock, which is concerning to me for an urgent care facility. They had to send an Rx to my pharmacy, which then dispensed it to me and sent me back to the clinic for the injection. The injection caused me to bleed from the injection; I don't know if that was because of the size of the needle or the person administering it or what, but it was crazy to walk out of the place with blood on me. This was three weeks ago. I still cannot get lab results. Their online portal didn't seem to be of much use. I finally got someone to answer my call where I was transferred twice to get my results. This is not my choice for urgent care, and it shouldn't be yours either. My insurance company contracts with them, but I'll go elsewhere. read more

The word "Care" should not be in their name. I did not feel cared for at all. Fombang gives this facility a bad name. Im not one that just runs to the Dr. every time i feel funny. I went in with a foot injury. Not being able to walk well and fearing an infection I went to the urgent care. She never really looked at my foot just told me to stay off and that she would refer me to a Podiatrist. I said my job requires a lot of walking and would need a letter for my HR dept., she stated she was not there to give me time off work. She gave me one day. read more

Don't waste your time going here. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes before I got to see the doctor (actually the physician's assistant), but that was not the problem. I can understand a long wait. I was there for a sinus infection and get them at least twice a year. I've been sick for 3+ weeks. The PA said she would prescribe a Zpack. I told her they don't work on my sinus infections and asked if she could prescribe Biaxin instead. I explained my past history seeing ENTs and that I was new to the area. She said fine and that she would call in the Biaxin. 2 hours later when I go pick it up I discover it's the Zpack Rx. I called immediately and asked to speak with the nurse or PA. After holding for 10 minutes I was told the PA had to "look it up online" that Biaxin (generic is Clarithromycin), was only prescribed in hospitals. I said that's crazy can you please ask her again. Another ten minute hold and same response. I wasted 4 hours of my day, still sick and running a fever, now I have to go to another urgent care that will actually treat me. The PA lied to my face told me she was giving me one antibiotic and called in another. No integrity. Worse she had to "look it up online" to see what Clarithromycin was. OMG did she graduate yesterday? What kind of clinic are they running? read more

DONT EVER GO THERE!!!! Terrible service, they don't care about the patients and won't treat you!!!!! I went there about a month ago with all the covid symptoms, extremely sick, sore throat, headaches, body aches and fever, they ran a covid test that came back negative (even know I was positive), and when I was seen by the doctor my heart was racing and my temperature was getting hot because I was starting a fever, and still the doctor said there's nothing she could do for me and to just take tylenol because it was some viral bacteria going around, the next day I woke up feeling worse and had to rush to the ER, where the doctors had to keep me and of course i was tested positive for covid. The doctor was very worried about me and I was extremely dehydrated, and was given 3 bags of fluids, antibiotics and even some narco for pain, and he said I was lucky it I got help in time. Now I went again TODAY to this clinic for a sore throat, my tonsils were swollen and I had white spots on my throat and a lot trouble eating or talking, their strep throat came back negative (as always), and the doctor said since there's no fever there's nothing to do for me, and sent me home in pain and untreated once again. The doctor looked at me and said she didn't see nothing on my throat and I told her to look at it again and then she said without a fever she can't do nothing. The staff and doctor DONT care about you, and I was sitting in the room for 10 minutes waiting while they were chatting outside and I did hear them saying that my tests came back negative, but no one bothered to come see me until I talked to them. And not to mention that from my visit a month ago that they didn't do nothing for me , and I payed out of pocket for the test, they charged my insurance 600$ but for what ? since they didn't bother do to anything. read more

I've attended Calvary for a couple of years now for minor issues and/or my kids physicals. Most of my experiences have been lukewarm but today I was so impressed with their customer service, precautionary methods for COVID, and their sense of efficiency, especially in terms of patient care. Everyone was so attentive and kind. I truly appreciated these positive changes and a clean yet energized atmosphere. It made for a pleasant experience. The NP here, Joycelyn Gordon is inadequate with no emotional attachment to what she does on a day to day basis. We brought my son who is 12 months old and can not speak for himself. He had a fever and a heart rate of 170. Gordon found some slight redness in his ear. She said "normally I wouldn't prescribe antibiotics for slight redness in the ear but I will in this case." I am a registered nurse turned biomedical engineer, my wife took him in alone as I was away on business. The next day I came home and did a head to toe exam on my sign and found some sort of an insect bite on his head. Which would explain the temp/infection. I went in and spoke with the office manager who was very nice, a great listener, and was as concerned as me if not more so. She had no excuses, zero rebuttal to my train of thought and agreed that we should contact Gordon. Once Gordon contacted us, she already had her rebuttal preloaded. Mind you my wife had already told me she didn't do anything in the visit, barely touched him. She made excuses of that (the bite) not being the focus of the visit. There was NO FOCUS because we did not know what was going on or that there was a bite at the time. Bare minimum as a medical professional, if you have a patient that can not speak or has an altered mental status, you should be more detailed and more thorough with those particular patients as they can not tell you their chief complaint. All I needed Gordon to say was "hey, you know what, I missed the bite, I understand why you as the parent would be upset, I apologize." That. Is. All. But instead, she allowed her ego and pride to get in the way of showing empathy towards an infant child. She even said during the call "even if I had found the bite, it would not have changed anything." What a hard-hearted joke. I will be contacting the insurance and if she penciled whipped a head to toe assessment and wrote "WNL" for the head, I will be persecuting her to the fullest extent of the law. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews but this time I had to. In all my years of going for my yearly Woman Wellness, this was the worst experience at Calvary Medical. I was assigned to visit with Wendy Sharp, FNP as my original physician , Dr Spooner, was no longer a part of the practice . I waited for 2 hours due to Wendy Sharps FNP tardiness . The appointments start at 8 am for the day and she walks in at 9 am . I was 3rd line to see her . After enquiring 3x about the reason for this extended delay , I was escorted into a exam room where I waited for an additional 25 minutes. Finally A nurse assistant came in,gave me a form to fill out, a gown to wear and informed me that the Nurse Practitioner, would be in shortly. At this point I waited another 15 minutes before she came in . The total examination took 10 minutes. The assistant with another nurse & a training nurse came in to take my blood for the Woman Wellness tests to be done. At which time I very specifically asked the assistant nurse to check my HBA1c( for diabetes) since she was waiting in the room to get it done but she told me that she would use the blood that was already taken by the trainee nurse and that was not a problem. When I did get the results , I noticed that my HBA1c results were not on it. I immediately contacted the facility and was told to come in again personally. I reached Calvary Medical and met the assistant nurse, who took my old results and said she would get me an updated copy . When I met Wendy Sharp,for a second time she had the new and modified results of my blood work which of course appears that the diabetes test was in last minute and was listed at the end of the page. Wendy Went over the test results and only after repeatedly asking her about my diabetes test results did she inform me that it was totally normal and that the numbers were great and within range. I was supposed to have only gone for a woman wellness regular yearly test but last week I received a statement of services rendered by Calvery Medical and I noticed that she added things on the service list which were not done or not asked for. Since it was all in code I could not understand what it all meant but later on found out that they were things that I didn't need at all. I was charged twice $230 comprehensive preventativemedication reevaluation on the same day for the same Woman Wellness Test. The first test was alcohol misuse screen test $25- which was a lie because i did not get any screening, I did not ask for it nor did I need it since I don't drink or smoke. The second one was charged for depression screening $45. When I called the billing department to find out what all these charges were, a lady by the name of Amber asked me why was I worried because it wasn't going out of my pocket and that the insurance was going to pay anyway. She said all I had to pay was the $20 The Issue is not about who is going to pay for the screenings and tests but how can they so happily add on services that weren't even done. How can a patient trust Calgary Medical in Humble Texas and Wendy Sharp FNP if they cheat, lie and add tests/screenings just because the insurance pays for it. Beware !! The reason I am writing all this is because I do not want another patient to go through what I went through when I went to Calvary Medical in Humble Texas for a simple yearly Woman Wellness test . read more

Worst service ever. Some tests were done prior to the office visits. They couldn't get any results from the first test and they mixed up the second test with another patient. I found out about the errors on the day of both office visits. This is unacceptable and detrimental to the health of someone who is sick and is need of care. read more

What a amazing speedy experience. My husband and I just stopped here on our road trip from Texas to Florida and they got us in and out in less that 30 min! I literally walked in, signed the paperwork, paid, sat down for like 2 min, was called to see the doctor, went into the room, the nurse lol my vitals and the Dr was right behind her. They took a urine test and bada bing bada boom... done!! So efficient! My husband waited in the car to drain the coolers, toss out the trash etc. and before he could walk the dog I was coming back to the car. With United Health Care they don't charge the urgent care rate - they charge the pcp rate. Bonus! read more

I should have checked Yelp before choosing this urgent care center over the alternatives. I got off of a flight with what I believed was a perforated eardrum, and needed to see a doctor, well, urgently. This place was open until 9, and it was nearly nine already. I got there at 8:55pm in my Uber, thinking I had mad it just in time. Wrong. Calvary Urgent Care was hoping to close up in a few minutes, and refused to see me. They referred me to the ER before doctor and desk staff got in their cars and left me waiting for my next Uber. read more

Horrible. I went in last Saturday for a simple swab testing, was told I'd get my results Monday. It us now Thursday, I've called 5 times and have yet to get my results. They told me they can't give me my results and they'd have a physician call. I personally think they are lying about whether or not they sent the results in to begin with because it should not take 6 days to get simple test results. So I now have to take time away from my family and my day to go up there in person and demand my results. Do not waste your time or money here. Don't waste your time on Dr. Gordon. Just do yourself a favor and drive the extra 10 mins to a different urgent care. I can't get MY results for a test I PAID FOR. Absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable. read more

So I showed up 17 minutes to be exact from closing. I was having an allergic reaction to a bad spider bit which persisted the entire day. I noticed the grand opening sign as I approached to find the lights were off. An employee saw me and waived we're closing. Finally she made her way to the door and said we're closing. I said, "I'm here almost 20 minutes before closing." Her response was, well the Doctor is doing a procedure until 9:00 and won't be able to see you. I was having tracing in my veins from the spider bite and thought let me see if there is anywhere else close I can make before 9 when every Urgent Care I could find were closing. A few minutes into my search the staff was walking out before 9:00 to head home. Well you earned this review. Best of luck. read more

They tell you one price and then charge you(at least that is what they did to me) 7 times that price. They said an office visit was $70. What they meant was $210 plus a $76 saturday fee. Sure they were nice while you are there. But if you decide to go there you should be ready to pay more than what they tell you. When asked about the cost difference they were standoffish and difficult to get a straight answer. The office manager was even quite unhelpful in resolving our issues. They even charged us for a shot that was not ever given. read more
