Very strange place. I brought my 5 yr old grandson there with a 103.2 fever. We were never acknowledged. The receptionist was having a long leisurely conversation on the phone. Eventually she got off and had another long discussion with a lady about weight loss drugs. She then called up another patient to discuss his deductibles. No sense of urgency whatsoever. We were completely ignored for 10 minutes so I realized this was not a serious "urgent care" place so WE LEFT. Based on all the weight loss and "IV vitamin" signs I don't think this is an urgent care place, but more of a weight loss clinic. read more

I needed an intervention for an injury first thing on a Saturday morning. I found the staff to be polite and organized Not having been a patient at Kingwood Urgent Care before there was some expected paperwork to be completed. However, it wasn't onerous. From the time I walked in the door to having a consultation with a doctor, getting X-rays taken, having a post X-ray evaluation and then on my way to picking up scrips at the local pharmacy was roughly two hours which I found to be very fair. I wouldn't hesitate to go back if the need arises again. read more

I had a fall in October 2021, my husband was out of town and my elderly mother didn't want me to call an ambulance. Basically I had to wait 18 hrs before I could get to a doctor. I had concussion and a bad gash in my head. I saw doctor Iranmanesh, who explained that normally 18 hrs is too long to wait to get stitched up. However, as I was still bleeding he would go ahead and stitch me up with no guarantees. He took extreme care in placing the stitches, took an hour. Initially I thought well later I will probably have to get the scar revised at some point. However the stitches came out and he did a better job than any world class plastic surgeon. This place is a joke! We waited for over two hours just to have the doctor do nothing for my sick daughter. My daughter is terrified of getting the strep test done and when she wouldn't open her mouth right when he said so, he told me "he don't have time to wait on her that he has a ton of other patients." So we were forced to leave they did absolutely nothing!!! I've never had such a bad experience with a doctor then I have here. read more

Went because I couldn't hear out of my left ear. Good staff other than the actual Doctor. Basically told me to leave without any help at all. Walked in and said he couldn't help because "it would take a couple hours, come back in 10 days" He sent me a prescription that might help and that's it. Now having to try home remedies. Warning to women to AVOID this place!! Dr. Zamirpour is terrible and has no respect for mothers or women in general. I ended up here as my normal OBGYN's office was closed; it was a weekend. I'd just had a painful and traumatic C-Section and went in for a suspected infection of the incision. He brought in 2 other men into the exam to check out the incision. He had me pull down my pants where my pelvis was showing, it was absolutely degrading. There should have been a female nurse present, but this was not offered! And there should not have just been this doctor and 2 random guys; he didn't even introduce them. Were they medical students, his nephews, random guys off the street, etc? Who knows!! He yanks off part of the incision bandage without asking me. I was in excrutiating pain. I also asked about the pills which could help reduce the breast milk as I was experiencing a lot of pain while breastfeeding. The nurse practitioner at my regular OBGYN's had mentioned these pills to me, but as mentioned, their office was closed as on a weekend. I am an older mom and had problems with terrible mastitis (to the point where I was hospitalized) with my first daughter and I could tell the problems were starting up again as I know the warning signs, this time at the age of 46. My new baby was pre-mature, nearly died in the NICU and was on a feeding tube back at home, so I was pumping some milk (could hardly get any supply at all) to put into her formula as she couldn't feed. He gave me a big speech about HOW IT'S UNETHICAL FOR ME TO NOT BREASTFEED A CHILD, and that he refused to prescribe the pills that would help reduce the supply as he would be a party to this unethical behavior. He spoke to me in an extremely degrading way and had me in absolute tears. He didn't care that he'd upset me. I told him that he shouldn't speak to me that way - here I am a new mother, with c-section and breast pain, and he has the gall to come at me like this. I got up and left after telling him off. It was clear he has ZERO RESPECT for mothers/women and what they are going through. I do not know where this guy came from, but he's obviously from somewhere where he got away treating women disrespectfully and was given a free pass to degrade them, but that's not going to fly with Texas women. I was really traumatized by this visit. It's taken me 1.5 years to come to terms with what happened in that office, and I am just now speaking out. I am setting the groundwork to file an official complaint against him with the appropriate parties. I would urge any women to avoid this place like the plague. He is clearly a terrible person, and I look forward to sharing my story with all relevant parties through my complaint. Thank you. read more

They didn't order the mri he said they were going to order. When I finally got it ordered he didn't send the X-ray report to imaging center. Now my insurance has denied it and I have to pay cash or hope insurance approves by tomorrow which I doubt so my mri will be delayed again!!! read more

We've been going to this clinic for over two years. The reception has always been friendly and the doctors' care professional and thorough. Because it is a walk-in clinic whenever possible I call ahead to inquire about the wait ... My wife appreciates the broad spectrum of knowledge and experience the doctors and staff have. Now that I know Dr Z offers Platelet Enrichment Treatment (Plasma Rich) which is a reasonably new approach to joint rejuvenation and pain management I'll be visiting more often.... as a matter of fact I read that this 30 min in-house procedure is now the gold standard for professional athletes ... Great facility with professional staff and very caring doctors. We go there for everything. They recently stitched up my husband's finger and my kids face in a matter of two weeks. The doctor was very concerned about my son's eye (football Injury) and called the next day to check on him and see what the optimization said. Love everyone there! Also, wait is very minimal. Brought my son here today because he hurt his hand. They got him back pretty quick and the whole process took about an hour. We got x rays done and before the results came back the doctor sent the nurse in to put a wrist brace on him, which I realized pretty quick was pretty useless for his injury since it braced the wrist and thumb but left the fingers free to move. (His injury was to the last 3 fingers and hand to wrist.) When the doctor came back in and went over the xray report I mentioned to him the problem with the brace. He agreed and switched to a different kind of splint. I just don't think I should have had to point that out. He was the doctor and I feel like it was not only common sense, but his job to know that. Beware. In the midst of a growing pandemic most insurance cover covid testing at a 100 percent. Mine does for sure. This facility is in network. I called both my insurance and the clinic. However to receive a rapid covid test it would cost 160.00 cash. Come to find out after calling my insurance provider again and confirming a 100 percent coverage. And calling the urgent care back the rapid test at the urgent care are "like a separate vendor" ... "the vendor does not accept insurance.... cash only and upfront". How is that possible.? Call the insurance back to ask can they do that because it almost seems illegal. It is legal. It's how they make a buck... but as a clinician I strongly feel it's unethical and misleading. All I can think of is the elderly and many other paying for something that is supposed to be free. read more

Brought my daughter in who was complaining of severe abdominal pain and we were concerned about a ruptured gallbladder or appendix. The doctor here found her severely dehydrated after not eating for two or three days, drinking either, due to her pain and vomiting from the pain. They referred us to a third-party imaging company down to get a CT scan done. We had that done Friday as well. The doctor here had informed us that once they got the CT results they would review them immediately and let us know what the status was. After three phone calls to follow up Friday with no result, they never did call Saturday, Sunday and now it's Monday at 4:30 and still no call. Hopefully it's not a ruptured appendix that could kill her. But obviously nobody here is concerned about patient well being. Oh and they're supposed to be open seven days a week from 8 to 8... Saturday they closed and Sunday I'm not sure if they stayed closed or just didn't bother calling. We ended up bringing her in to the emergency room at Memorial Hermann Saturday night. I have come here several times now. The front desk receptionist has always been friendly and welcoming. I really like Dr. Z and he really seems to care. It is an Urgent Care so it is usually busy but I have not had to wait in the waiting room for more than 15 minutes. The staff were really nice and has made sure that I was comfortable. I've used this urgent care facility off and on through the years when I couldn't get an appointment with my primary physician. I was so glad they returned post Harvey. This morning I went with flu like symptoms- everyone there was very compassionate and although I didn't have the flu, every effort was made to make me feel better and get me on the road to recovery as soon as possible. read more

The service here was terrible and slow. I checked in at 1:20 with only 2 people in the lobby. They called me back at 2:45, after only the two people before and two other people that came from the back. As I was walking back I saw all the nurses standing around doing nothing. The doctor was so short with me, I was trying to ask him questions and he acted as though I was bother. He saw me for less than a minute. I definitely won't be back. I had an excellent and efficient time here! I went to the medspring urgent care at the front of Kingwood drive a few days before this and didn't receive good service or medical treatment. But here I Went in for the same ear infection and was in and out in about 35-40 mins. The front desk attendant was super nice. I only waited about 5 mins in the lobby. The nurse was super friendly. The doctor was very fast and polite. She even gave me antibiotic ear drops as a sample so I didn't have to purchase it for just a few days usage. The doctor was very sweet and answered all my questions! Great service! I did go right at opening time (8 am) so that could have something to do with how speedy it was. read more

DO NOT visit this urgent care center!! I took my son in for a finger injury and the doctor REFUSED to even come out and see him. When I got there, the not so great receptionist, had me start filling out forms without asking any questions....but of course....needing my ID and insurance cards. As I began to fill them out, I said something that made her finally realize my son's injury (how she missed all the blood....I don't know). After looking at it, she called the doctor from the desk and told the doctor what was going on. She then told me the doctor was in the bathroom, but would come up to take a look at my son's finger momentarily. About a minute later, the doctor calls the receptionist back on the phone and told her she could not see my son. The doctor at this facility was NEGLIGENT IN RENDERING AID! SINCE WHEN DOES A "RECEPTIONST" HAVE THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO DIAGNOSE A PATIENT!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS! I WILL BE FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE BOARD AND WHOEVER ELSE I CAN. I URGE YOU, DO NOT UTILIZE THIS FACILITY. THIS WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME WHEN MY SON HAD A TRUE URGENT NEED! Luckily, my sons injury was not as bad as it appeared. No stiches or the like was needed, but it did require medical care. Had the doctor taken the time to look at his injury, it could have been resolved here. I went in for a UTI. Dr. Zamirpour came in to the examination room and answered what I am guessing was a personal call on his cell phone, which I found unprofessional. Then he did a quick examination and told me that there was bacteria in my urinalysis which did indicate a UTI. He prescribed me antibiotics and then told me to just take them until symptoms went away, and then I could keep the rest for later. What kind of quack doctor says that?? I've taken antibiotics several times in the past and every single doctor, nurse, and pharmacist as made a point to tell me to take the antibiotic course all the way through, even if symptoms go away because it might cause the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics if I don't. Luckily I knew what he told me was wrong, but I worry about his other patients that he is telling false information to. I double checked with my primary doctor AND my pharmacist after I left this "doctor" and they told me to take the full antibiotic course. He also prescribed me Urimar-T to help with pain and discomfort. He failed to tell me that this drug has a MAJOR drug interaction with rizatripan, a migraine medication that I listed on the forms I filled out before my appointment. Luckily I researched it before I took the drugs at the same time! I just cannot believe this guy is a doctor. Please, do yourself a favor and find a better urgent care clinic to go to. read more

I went in Sunday for abdominal pain, staff was very nice and helpful and I was seen right away. I was told that the price would be one price plus any lab work which I agreed and paid on the spot. I get a call a few days later saying I was charged incorrectly and that I still owed them. It sounds like a bait and switch operation to me. read more

I typically don't write reviews unless I feel strongly enough to submit my comments. Such is the case regarding our visit to Kingwood Urgent Care. I took my son in for covid testing due to a potential exposure in his classroom. While the nursing staff was great, I was not impressed by Dr. Zamirpour. His bedside manner is horrible. The swabs for the test are supposed to stay in the nasal cavity for 10 - 15 seconds (depending on where you get your information). He did about 5 second on one side, and 2 - 3 seconds on the other side. When I mentioned I thought it was supposed to be longer, he showed me the swab and said, "Look. I have enough of a sample." When I asked if it was supposed to be at least 10 seconds for a good test, he said, "You are correct." Then he pushed my son back down while shoving the swab back up on nostril rather forcefully. No notice to my son, no gentle mannerisms, just an angry push back down and shove it in. I was not rude asking my question, and the doctor's behavior is inexcusable. I will never return to his place. I understand some doctors have such large egos that they can't tolerate questions; but to have a doctor take out that ego on my child is unacceptable. read more

I went there for a weird bump and it turned out I had a staph infection. I had to go back and change my bandages and they told me if would be all included in the price I paid but then later they sent me a bill saying there were extra charges when I went in for a bandage change. Crazy!! read more

brought my little daughter here for an ear infection. The receptionist was very nice, but the doctor was very rude. he did nothing more than just glance at her ear - and I mean nothing more than a glance, then sat down at the computer and spent the entire time staring at the computer not saying anything. He gave us an ear-drop suggestion (I had already used ear drops), so I requested a prescription for antibiotics, and he begrudgingly wrote up another prescription. It was a Friday night - I know no one likes to work on a Friday, but it would have been nice if it was a real appointment - my daughter was not examined at all. read more

This is by far the best urgent care experience I've had in the area. Instead of doing a temp fix and sending me to surgeon, Dr.Z performed the procedure. My hospital outpatient fee would have been over 1k, he did the job and handled two follow ups for one payment of less than 100. My insurance payment I'm sure made to the office didn't cover all the materials used during my visits. I'd not hesitate to come again or bring my children here. Excellent care! read more

I took my wife there for a sinus infection . We were on vacation and found this place on yelp. The facility was clean, waiting area and had large leather couches and chairs. The staff was courteous and quick. They took my insurance and we only had a $15.co-pay, just like home. Dr. Amie Curbow was thorough and very professional. Went 3 times to this clinic just to avoid ER cost and time. Twice for my kids and once for me. All 3 diagnosis have been wrong. My last visit was for my sprained ankle. Couldn't bare weight on it and it was deformed. They took X-Rays and said it was fine, sent me home with a short (aircast) boot and said to go to Specilaist in 2 weeks if my symptoms were not improving. Couldn't bare weight after 4 days and went to see a specialist. Turns out I had a fractured tibia with a High ankle sprain (torn ligaments). Orthopedic was outraged with the boot and diagnosis that I was given by this Urgent Care physician. They put me in cast for 6 weeks and then a knee high aircast for 4 more weeks. Talk about a waste of time, money and WRONG diagnosis! Please don't go here, there are better places to go! read more

The Front desk attendants are very unfriendly. First off, she tried to charge me $75 for urgent care fee that was only supposed to be $35. It was clearly stated on the front of my insurance card. Then I got an attitude when I pointed out that I should only be charged $35. Next I was asked for my drivers license to verify my identity, which unfortunately I did not have. My husband had it and was willing to scan it and email it over. The front desk staff said they didn't have an email address.... really? Who these days don't have an email address? Apparently they didn't care about getting business. I had credit cards galore and other ways to prove who I am... so frustrating when I drove out of my way to go to this particular urgent care. read more

I went to the urgent care center about five days ago to get a rash looked at and some little bumps on my foot. My doctor was great but we missed about to where the little bumps on my foot I'm in town visiting and I have a lot going on in the next month and a half with three different moves so I called back and try to make an appointment they told me they do not make appointment with my doctor would be in on Friday so I waited a few days to go in on Friday because were leaving town on Saturday and after I got in the office and set down for about an hour and a half. They told me that my doctor doesn't work on Fridays so be in on Saturday and the other doctor is new and she doesn't feel comfortable working. It is so frustrating when the place says urgent care on the building doesn't have time to help you. The first doctor I saw was very very nice and awesome. Amie Curbow. Great person.
