The worship is ok but is more like a performance than going before the throne. The teaching was basic without much depth. It's a big church to get lost in. I'm sure there are some wonderful people there but it would take quite awhile to find them and we are just ready to jump in somewhere and be about our Father's business.

You'd be better off driving to St. Mary in Annapolis-or closer to a a Mass in Bowie (St. Pius, Sacred Heart-in the Archdiocese of Washington) at least you know for sure that it's valid. These are my issues: The priest uses improper vessels on the altar: a pyrex mixing bowl during the consecration and what looks like iced tea glasses to hold the Most Precious Blood? Seriously? How about the fact that nobody kneels in reverence during the holiest part of the Mass (when the priest is consecrating the bread and wine in the pyrex). The priest at the 5:30p Mass I attended was going back and forth from the old missal to the current Romal Missal--doing his own thing. These parishioners have no clue here and the formation is obviously null. The dress is way too casual, but hey, what do you expect. It really goes with the territory. Not coming back here but will pray for this parish and their priests. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us and your parish in Crofton.

The music director who is British is a polite man and does a good job with the music in masses. I find the people in the congregation very friendly, I find their events very friendly and I find the entire focus of the parish to be on the people, having fun and of course on creating/keeping a personal relationship with God. I do not get there very often because I live in downtown DC - but every time I go, I like it more. The priest is very friendly and easy to talk to. He speaks about the Bible in normal terms, using language that is immediately understandable. The events are full of people - normal people who are interested in getting to know new people. There is no stand-offish-ness here that I experienced. I volunteered for one of the Greek Fest dinners and I was taken in with open arms. This past weekend, I went to a craft fair in the hall and I found more of the same. Friendliness, big crowds and the realization that the church community lives in contemporary times, with busy people who have busy schedules and who have lives in a diverse world. I really am happy that I found this church. I look forward to moving out to this area in the next year or so - I will become a regular parishoner at Sts. Constantine & Helen once I live nearby!

I absolutely love this church. I worked with the event planner for a fundraising event for sick…read morechildren and had the best experience. Very responsive and flexible. The people in the church were so warm and welcoming. The Father came by and personally sought out the organizers to thank them for their efforts on behalf of the children. I could see the emotion on everyone's face. It was great to work with people who cared about our cause as much as we did.
