My wife, myself and our parents were apprehensive about our misfortune. My parents-in-law decided to look around for the closest churches. We contact interim Pastor Gretchen van Utt and it originally seems grim. Generally doing weddings for non-members is not something they do, but we explained our circumstances and they agreed to let us use their church. After meeting with the Pastor in person we were so impressed with the facilities and noticed a lot of congregation was hanging around cleaning (it was a Saturday). They left a good impression on us and were friendly too. Since we brought in our own officiant and discussed all of the logistics, we had no problem with our May 19, 2007 wedding ceremony. We have been searching for a place for weeks since everything was booked up. The space could fit about 100 and it had a small kitchen. Overall it was perfect for our event as we had no other place to go.

Awesome stained glass windows. The outside is a nice red brick church with other attached buildings- A social hall and what appears to be the parsonage. During set up, the vendors were invited to attend service and communion in-person in the Main Sanctuary or virtually (via speakers/TV monitors in the Fellowship Hall) before the event started. The service was insightful and lasted about 1.5 hours.
