This is our primary care physician. They are attentive and conveniently located to our home. We…read moresee Dr. Everhart and he is very competent. Everything you would want in a primary care. Recently my husband had some medical issues. He called over the weekend to check on him and shared his cell number to make sure we had the care he needed while he was out of the office. His kindness and willingness to go out of his way was impressive!!

As anyone who's read my other reviews will know, I always have to preface medical reviews by saying that I've been a nurse for over 20 years and tend to be pretty critical of healthcare in general, so a 3-star rating for this office would be a 4-star rating for anything non-medical. Just to provide some perspective...... Getting an appointment with Dr. Fry can sometimes be a challenge, and his office staff are not the friendliest people on the planet. They've never been overtly rude, but just kind of abrupt. However, as I've sat waiting in the waiting room I've overheard multiple phone calls that appear to be from long-time patients (apparently HIPAA rules don't apply here) who seem to have a good rapport with the staff, so maybe we just haven't broken the ice yet. The waiting room itself is pretty small, and I had to laugh at the signs taped to the walls telling you to please sit up straight in the chairs....to improve your posture but also to make the chairs last longer. I can honestly say I've never seen that before in a doctor's office! Be prepared to wait a while, as I've yet to see him run on schedule. Our longest wait was about 45 minutes, but typically it's only about 15 minutes past our appointment time. The actual amount of time spent with Dr. Fry has never been more than 10 minutes, and that's a LONG visit, so I can only assume that his other patients are more complex and require more of his time. As for Dr. Fry himself.....he's a bit too casual for my tastes, but it works for my son. His general appearance is reminiscent of a college stoner who's just rolled out of bed. He's very direct and kind of "jokey" with his instructions, but he gets his point across and does listen to what you're telling him. Like I said, this is a little too casual for me, but for a 19 yr old boy it's just what he needs to make him feel comfortable and open up to talk to him. So if my son is happy and getting good care, I'm happy.....end of story.

Pass. I don't know…read morewhat it is about Southern Maryland, but it seems to be full of terrible doctors. I had a primary care doctor from this area that I dumped. And now, my father has dumped his primary care doctor and this practice. He is a first time stroke survivor. He is 71. It's an understatement to say he's very vulnerable. So imagine my surprise when his doctor behaved brusquely and insensitively, on multiple occasions. We are a Catholic household and believe in extending grace whenever possible. But our grace -- and our patience -- sadly reached its limit with this doctor, whom I will not bestow the honor of naming. I'm giving this practice three stars mainly for the office staff such as the folks at the reception desk as well as the nurses/techs/and other staff in back-of-house. They're warm, wonderful people who mitigate the intimidation of going to see a doctor. Finally, when a patient/client/customer sends you a note instructing you to never reply back, essentially declaring that they never want to have anything to do with you ever again, you should do that instead of disobeying the patient/client/customer's wishes. It's a bad, bad look, and anyway, we sent that response straight into the trash folder where it and this crummy doctor both belong. The American health care system is broken and this doctor is enabling that harmful institution. We have since aligned ourselves with a new, modern practice where the doctors treat you like a human being. They even let you message them by text message and minimize the hassle of administrative work like scheduling and obtaining records with a really attractive and functional app. Welcome to 2023. Don't choose this practice.
