I think many more people should be considering medical practices such as evolve, yet I still do not find that many. The closest analogy is somewhere like Care first, however, Care first is less of a medical practice run by one doctor and more of a mass healthcare system. As anyone who's read my other reviews will know, I always have to preface medical reviews by saying that I've been a nurse for over 20 years and tend to be pretty critical of healthcare in general, so a 3-star rating for this office would be a 4-star rating for anything non-medical. Just to provide some perspective...... Getting an appointment with Dr. Fry can sometimes be a challenge, and his office staff are not the friendliest people on the planet. They've never been overtly rude, but just kind of abrupt. However, as I've sat waiting in the waiting room I've overheard multiple phone calls that appear to be from long-time patients (apparently HIPAA rules don't apply here) who seem to have a good rapport with the staff, so maybe we just haven't broken the ice yet. The waiting room itself is pretty small, and I had to laugh at the signs taped to the walls telling you to please sit up straight in the chairs....to improve your posture but also to make the chairs last longer. I can honestly say I've never seen that before in a doctor's office! Be prepared to wait a while, as I've yet to see him run on schedule. Our longest wait was about 45 minutes, but typically it's only about 15 minutes past our appointment time. The actual amount of time spent with Dr. Fry has never been more than 10 minutes, and that's a LONG visit, so I can only assume that his other patients are more complex and require more of his time. As for Dr. Fry himself.....he's a bit too casual for my tastes, but it works for my son. His general appearance is reminiscent of a college stoner who's just rolled out of bed. He's very direct and kind of "jokey" with his instructions, but he gets his point across and does listen to what you're telling him. Like I said, this is a little too casual for me, but for a 19 yr old boy it's just what he needs to make him feel comfortable and open up to talk to him. So if my son is happy and getting good care, I'm happy.....end of story.

He prescribed the nasal spray Singular that gave me nightmares--a side effect that no one mentioned. So I got a second opinion from an allergist on Easton, and after a year of shots, I became nearly symptom-free and have remained so. I can now visit friends with dogs, take walks in the spring, and most of all to sleep well at night without sleeping on a wedge pillow.

Dr. Akhmed saved my life…read more I had been given a false diagnosis by an urological oncologist at no less than Johns Hopkins. He told me that I had an advanced incurable cancer, and to "settle your affairs". I was only in my 30's, and this put my family into a huge crisis. After weeks of emergency room visits and specialists, I somehow ended up in Dr. Akhmed's office. She asked me what medications I was on, and right in front of me, pulled out a reference book and looked them up. She said that she thought I was having a rare reaction to an allergy medicine I was on and that I should stop taking all medications immediately. She was right. The allergy medicine had been causing high blood pressure and urine retention, resulting in a blocked bladder blowing up to the size of a basketball, which necessitated the emergency room visits and could have resulted in death. The other doctors I saw during the crisis gave me yet more meds which caused more side effects. Once I stopped taking the allergy meds and the high blood pressure meds, my blood pressure went down, and I never had another problem with the bladder. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Akhmed.

I asked several times for information on what the patient portal was in order to keep up to date with my treatment, and they would not give me an answer. I was also told I would receive a free trial of a medication to treat my condition, however they decided to withdraw that offer without talking to me. Not to mention- there is only 1 type of medication on the market for my condition, which means I have been left with no other options for treatment through this office. There was also a consistent lack of information given to me about any of the processes of how they could help me. Don't go here if you want a thorough and helpful experience.

I was taken to x-ray immediately, the tech was awesome, the x-ray process fantastic. I was then sat in a teeny tiny room and told to wait for the orthopedic medical professional to come and examine my Injury and review the x-rays with me. I waited in that teeny tiny room for over 50 minutes. I exited the room, found a person, and told the person I have been waiting in that tiny room for over 50, not 15 but FIVE ZERO minutes. They asked what room and what orthopedic medical professional, when I let them know, I was told that the orthopedic medical professional is in the room next to yours, you're next, please go back and wait. NO!! I will not wait In the teeny tiny room for another minute. If I can respect YOUR schedule, YOU respect MY schedule.

As I was about to leave, a car comes flying into the parking lot. 5 minutes after I left, a girl calls me back (I left them a message telling them they are not to bill me or my insurance company) telling me she was late cause she lost her key and had to wait for a technician to show up.
