I like that they are now part of MyPrivia so we can find appointments, schedule same day if slot is available, choose doctors easily, see reports, message the doctor and more. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE ESPECIALLY NOT WITH THE VERY RUDE SARIAN WILSON, NP!!! I wish I could give 0 stars. My daughter and I waited weeks for this appointment to address a serious issue. We arrived ON TIME to the appointment (2 mins early, actually). We completed all forms sent in a link via text along with insurance info, ID, etc. prior to the appointment. When we checked in, the very rude receptionist said "I'll have to see if she'll take you." I looked at my phone confused to check the time and it was only 1:28pm and said "oh I believe the appointment is at 1:30pm" in case there was a mistake, I wanted to clarify. The receptionist said rudely "I know, since you're a new patient, you should be here 10-15 mins early". I was not told this directly or would even think this was an issue since we completed all documentation the day before the appt. I didn't say anything since I've never been treated like this for arriving on time to an appointment. The receptionist waddled to the back and returned stating "The provider (SARIAN WILSON, NP) wants you to reschedule and to arrive early next time". Absolutely not. They canceled our appointment we traveled several miles to for a serious issue we waiting weeks to attend because we arrived only 2 mins BEFORE the appointment for forms already completed electronically???? I had a 9:00 AM appointment today with Sarian Wilson, CRNP at Dr. Pace & Associates. I arrived and checked in at 9:05 AM. The receptionist had me confirm my information and sign two pages of paperwork. Then she informed me that my appointment was at 9:00 AM. I responded that I was aware and had arrived just five minutes late. I asked if there was a grace period, and she confirmed there was a 10-minute window. Despite being within that grace period, the receptionist called Ms. Wilson, who refused to see me. I was then told that because I hadn't been seen in the office in the past three years, I was now considered a "new patient," and for that reason, she would not keep the appointment. What made this even more frustrating is that I've been a patient at this practice for over 20 years and have never been late before. I even paid my co-pay online the night before to ensure a smooth check-in. To be turned away over five minutes--within the stated grace period--felt dismissive and inconsiderate. This kind of rigid and impersonal treatment, especially toward long-standing patients, is unacceptable. I have been going here since a maybe 14, I am 33 years now. My mom went there before that and was a long time patient. I went in for a yearly check up in August 2025. It was the worst doctor experience i have had. There is literally so much to talk about but right off the back,I got there right on time. Had to fill out paper work by time I got to the back, it was maybe 10 minutes after. The doctor Georgia Cu asked me why I was late and act like if she didnt know if she could see me. I was telling the doctor that my mother died of breast cancer recently and i wanted to stay proactive in preventative measures. She had no empathy and kind of looked like "okay there was nothing to be done".When I had questions in end up being a 20 minute rebuttal with no answers or empathy. So of course this took time to complete and everything after that was soo rushed. i first made an appointment for a well womans exam and a pap smear. She told me she could only do one at a time and I had to reschedule the womans exam. Took me to the front desk, I had questions so they called her back out and we stepped in another room briefly. I was trying to tell her that I have real concerns about anxiety and my asthma. i wanted a nebulizer because I have been having increasing problems with breathing and having to use my inhaler more. She said she could refill my. inhaler but its just as good as a nebulizer and didn't prescribe one. she kept talking to me about i had a 30 minute slot and I used that time. I told her it was completely rushed, which she said no it wasn't. A few days later, i landed in urgent care because of my asthma and I end up having pnemonia. I had to get prescribed antibiotics and a NEBULIZER. Had the doctor listened and actually cared my well being she would have looked into it and I wouldn't have had to be in the Urgent Care. When I say the worst experience of my life!! I told my sister in law about this doctor, she said oh Dr. Cu, there is a note in my file to not even suggest making an appointment with her. looking for a new doctor office in the area. read more

Pass. I don't know what it is about Southern Maryland, but it seems to be full of terrible doctors. I had a primary care doctor from this area that I dumped. And now, my father has dumped his primary care doctor and this practice. He is a first time stroke survivor. He is 71. It's an understatement to say he's very vulnerable. So imagine my surprise when his doctor behaved brusquely and insensitively, on multiple occasions. We are a Catholic household and believe in extending grace whenever possible. But our grace -- and our patience -- sadly reached its limit with this doctor, whom I will not bestow the honor of naming. I'm giving this practice three stars mainly for the office staff such as the folks at the reception desk as well as the nurses/techs/and other staff in back-of-house. They're warm, wonderful people who mitigate the intimidation of going to see a doctor. Finally, when a patient/client/customer sends you a note instructing you to never reply back, essentially declaring that they never want to have anything to do with you ever again, you should do that instead of disobeying the patient/client/customer's wishes. It's a bad, bad look, and anyway, we sent that response straight into the trash folder where it and this crummy doctor both belong. The American health care system is broken and this doctor is enabling that harmful institution. We have since aligned ourselves with a new, modern practice where the doctors treat you like a human being. They even let you message them by text message and minimize the hassle of administrative work like scheduling and obtaining records with a really attractive and functional app. Welcome to 2023. I went in for my yearly physical. While in the apt I told her my foot was starting to hurt, her suggestion was to go to the Good Foot Store. Turns out, I walked around on a broken foot for 2 months because she didn't take my pain seriously. Also, at this apt we started the process for weight management. After a few weeks, I was given a referral to another office because Prior Authorizations for medications "were causing too much stress" in the office for the staff. Do not put your health in the hands of these doctors, they don't care nor do they have your interests at heart. All they are looking for is the insurance money. read more

Last month I was seen by a NP for an annual physical and lab work. The NP stated once she received my results she would contact me or make comments in patient portable. The NP received my results a week ago. she still haven't contact me about my results. I have left several message for her to call me. No call back or recommendation in patient portable. This say a lot about her. It makes me feel like she does care about her patients. If you decide to visit this office for medical treatment please do not make an appointment with her. Today was the worst experience I have received from Dr. Pace's office Management department. I've been a patient for over three (3) decades. Drove from Glen Burnie, Maryland an 1 1/2 commute. Traffic was ridiculous. Road work, accidents, kids returning to school and then it started to rain hard. I was 20 minutes behind schedule; Out of my control . There were "No sympathy, empathy or compassion" of my time and effort to get to my scheduled appointment. The office refuse to see me. I Asked to speak with a manager (She Sucked) and they would not allow me to have a conversation with Dr. Pace. I totally understand and respect their policies . However, life situation is not the Same and different each day. I may need to consider seeking primary care closer to my home. :-( read more

The wait time for your appt. is excellent. Previously, you could wait 1hour PAST your appt. Thank goodness they have drastically improved. Dr. Cu is one of the best doctors I have come across. My Marine Husband is a patient at Pace and Leatherwood. For the most part his interactions have been positive. But, recently he experienced a problem refilling an important medication. We were given the runaround by some of the staff who informed him that the medication had been called into the pharmacy only to learn by the Pharmacist that nothing had been ordered. This went on for almost 3 weeks. Finally, I spoke to Stephanie, an employee at Pace and Leatherwood who listened intently and stated that she would try to assist us. I am happy to report that this professional and personable lady, Stephanie, helped us and after almost 3 weeks of calls, and my husband finally got the medication he needed. The practice of Pace and Leatherwood has always cared for their patients with respect and kindness. From the amazing receptionist who always asks about my family. To the ladies who check you out, all are awesome. The Medical Assistants helps review any refills you might need. Dr. Pace handles my one stubborn family member with just the right amount of humor to get us both through the appointments. P.A. Colton will hug you like a family member. She is beyond warm and full of compassion. I have cried when I things were not okay and laughed when they were, and she was there to pass me a tissue and a hug. I don't really find anything too terrible about this place. I've always had a decent experience every time I've gone there. I know everyone's experience is different, but I have to take a moment to stick up for Ms. Cynthia, the Nurse Practitioner. Reading the review that totally slams her sounds more like a difficult patient just being difficult. Every time I've seen Cynthia, she's been kind, caring and attentive. She always took the time to examine the situation, and the care she gave was top notch. Unlike a lot of doctors, she listened to me and took into account my opinion on my diagnosis. I make my appointments exclusively with her now, and will continue to do so in the future. read more

I don't usually leave reviews but my horrible experience at Pace & Leatherwood was worth the effort. I WARN others ahead of time - DO NOT SEE MS. CYNTHIA (nurse practitioner). They were booked when I attempted to make my appointment so they asked if I wanted to see the nurse practitioner - SURE WHY NOT?! That was a mistake! Ms. Cynthia has TERRIBLE bedside manners, is not personable and did not make me feel comfortable AT ALL. Right from the moment she walked in, I explained that I couldn't remember my symptoms so I jotted them down. Mind you, I only had 4 symptoms but wanted to discuss those in greater detail which is why I wrote them down so I wouldn't forget. SHE DID NOT WANT TO HERE ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS. You heard that right - she was rushing me through the entire time. She says to me "Ok, finish your symptoms so I can move on". Then later she asked me whether eating certain foods made me feel ill. I then started to explain to her how I felt when I drank milk but she stopped me in the middle of my sentence and said "NO...Stop diagnosing yourself. I just want you to answer my question". I was speechless. Most doctors want to listen to their patients concerns...NOT this rude nurse practitioner. This lady is not about small talk nor is she about making a rapport with her patients. *****IF YOU ARE READING THIS MS. CYNTHIA - Good luck if you ever become a doctor because your impatient and unprofessional behavior won't get you very far...THAT MUCH I CAN GUARANTEE. Pace and Leatherwood is a high volume assembly line doctors office. Expect to wait several days, maybe a week for an appointment to see a doctor. There is nothing efficient about their operation either. Need a referral, there is a 2 day wait, need to speak to a doctor, expect to wait several days if the call even comes at all. Leave a message for a prescription, the call back will be the next day. Gone are the days of the family Doctor knowing their patients and this Doctors office is a shining example of that. read more

Where do I start? This is just one small example [sample] of dealing with them. There is a lot more. I called to make an appointment and got a date from them. The next day, I get a call from their office, slightly upset about the date they gave me. They acted like it was my fault or something, when it should have been a different date. Huh? Ok, I got the new date/time. In the meantime, I am to get an xray and their office was going to send me, via fax, the orders for it. I set everything up and waited and waited. I called and they said it was coming. By the end of the day, I called four (4) times and they still did not send it. Next day, I called and they said they would send it to the Xray office. I go down to get the Xray and they did not receive anything. I called their office and they are closed for lunch. What?! 5/6/2014*** I have been going to this doctor for about a year. I switched to him because he was the only doctor I could find in the area that does DOT physicals. Today I had an 8am appointment which my alarm did not wake me for. My wife called and informed them what had happened. We were certainly willing to reschedule, given the circumstances. We were told if I came right away they could still see me. I got dressed and quickly drove the 10 minutes to the doctors office. I went to sign in, there was no one at the desk and only ONE patient in the waiting room of this office of multiple doctors. An admin lady comes out of the back to one of the two receptionist's desk and asks who I am. When I identify myself she says the doctor says he won't see me because I am outside some "20 minute grace period" for my appointment and I will have to reschedule. I explain to her that I was told to come in. Why would I drive there just to reschedule. She says she doesn't know who I talked to. I call my wife in front of this lady and explain to her what they are saying. She affirms that they told her to have me come in, they could have just as easy rescheduled the appointment, no harm no foul. So then the lady leaves and another one comes out. I explain everything to her as well. She claims she has talked to the lady who talked to my wife (of course this person isn't available but had time to give her every detail of the conversation with my wife) and she goes on to tell me that my wife was advised about the "20 minute grace period" but then corrects herself and says my wife told her I was on my way so it would have been in the "20 minute grace period" but I didn't arrive in that time frame. I point out to her that there is ONE patient in the waiting room and that my wife was never told any of the things she is saying and she DID NOT say I was on my way. Again, I would not have drove in on the possibility that I might be seen. She says to me that she is "done". Indicating that this conversation is somehow about her instead of service to the patients of the practice. I turn around to leave and she says I can speak to the office manager. Why? so I can hear someone else call my wife a liar? So I can have someone else waste my time with this unprofessional demeanor? So someone else can tell me about this undisclosed "20 minute grace period"? I tell her no, we will find another doctor. She says, "Good, ...... have a nice day." This office staff is the most incompetent , unprofessional, unreasonable collection of people I have encountered. I would not recommend anyone go here for that reason. Some other facts: My appointment was 8AM. The timestamp on my wife's cell when she called was 8:13am and she was on hold for about a minute. So by the time we talked to someone it was 15-16 minutes after my appointment. My wife did not say I was on my way so there is no way I would have made this undisclosed "20 minute grace period." We would have rescheduled but we were told to come in. Only to be called liars by the staff and to be put at personal expense of time and money. read more

I told her I have the appointment card that they filled time and date for the appointment. She couldn't care less and didn't even apologize. If I could give the staff in this doctor's office a negative 5-star rating I would. I recently faxed them a vaccination form to complete and received a follow-up that they have no shot records on file for me. This is beyond ridiculous as I had to receive 2 Meningococcal Vaccinations because they incorrectly administered the first. Not sure if everyone finds this an important factor when selecting a local doctor, but the fact that Dr. Pace donates time to help at Health Partners (the clinic for families without sufficient financial means) is extremely important to me. The medical profession in general is way too embedded in costs and not enough in compassion.
