I was seeking a ton of tiny succulents. I gave these guys a call, they told me to come one down. When I arrived I was greeted. The two gentlemen working there were really nice! They shared great tips on how to keep my succulents alive and thriving! I ended up leaving with a purchase of 64 mini succulents and 3 meds/larger succulents. Found this nursery via facebook market place. Advertised price of $35 for avocado trees. Bought 2 trees, one zutano avocado tree for $40, one reed avocado tree for $35. Zutano tree is about 6', ready to flower. Thick trunk, with lots of healthy leaves. Reed tree is about 4-5', thick trunk with lots of healthy leaves. Very good prices for good sized avocado trees. Very happy with purchases. Best deal! read more

My husband and I have been trying to find a local nursery to support for a couple of years now and we found it today! The selection was amazing. We are in the middle of an outdoor renovation so we are looking for a variety of plants right now. But today we just picked up 4 indoor plants that are incredibly healthy for $8 each!! We really enjoyed using the golf cart to go all over and see everything as well. The added bonus was they had two super friendly dogs who gave my one year old kisses and are super sweet and gentle. So happy to find this place and will be going back and bringing friends and family. Thank you! read more

Upon arrival I was very excited because they have a huge selection and they are not too far from where I live. However, my experience sounds exactly like the 2 most recent reviews before me. I asked where a certain plant was and the man just pointed in the direction as if I knew where it would be. He started walking as if he was going to lead me there, but instead he just went inside his office. We are landscaping our entire backyard, so they lost out on a potential customer. DON'T COME TO THIS NURSERY if you expect anyone's help in answering your questions, helping you pick out a plant, and making you feel welcome. I just left this place and didn't buy anything, even though I had come determined to buy. Here's what happened. After I wait a few minutes for someone to help me, a guy in sunglasses, a little mustache, and a cap drives up in what looks like a golf cart. "Can I help you?" he asks. He says it like I'm not supposed to be there. But maybe it's just the sunglasses, the mustache, and an unfriendly face he can't do anything about. I point to a tree and ask if that's an avocado tree. He says no and tells me where to look. He starts driving in that direction like he's going to take me there (which is what happens at other nurseries), but no, he just drives in front of me. He says a few things that I can't hear because he's driving in front of me and not facing me--before he takes off completely. So on my own again, I start looking around the avocado tree area, not sure about the types and the sizes. When I decide what to get, the guy drives by in his golf cart to tell me that's not a hass avocado tree. Okay then. I start looking at some plants that are clearly labeled hass avocado trees. The guy drives by again and tells me I can't buy those, they're all sold. At that point I had enough of this guy's nonsense and left. He was doing everything possible to NOT sell me something. Go to another nursery, go to Lowes, go anywhere but this place. These people don't deserve your business. One more thing: I was the only person wearing a mask there. So they don't care about your safety or the safety of their workers either. read more

I highly recommend visiting Calwest Nursery. We were first amazed with the excellent customer service by the knowledgeable staff who easily answered our questions. On site we drove a golf cart to explore their ample selection of plants, stopping to look at selections up close. We were impressed with the very reasonable prices. That afternoon Cole delivered the crepe myrtle tree (pictured here), and he graciously answered questions about our fruit trees. He recommended planting daylilies around the fountain as a hearty choice, and he called to ensure the desired colors were available (we needed 20). We picked them up the next day and are happy with how they look! I highly recommend choosing this nursery for your landscaping needs. I love this place! I found it by accident. I am planting my front yard with plants that do well in the desert and I found everything I needed here. I picked black mondo, horsetail fern, silver sage, ruellia, dark purple greggi salvia, purple statice, raspberry lobelia, raspberry petunia, society garlic, blue hybiscus (mallow), African iris. We absolutely love this nursery! The staff is very knowledgeable and has great customer service. They allow you to use the golf carts to get around with ease. They have a great variety of plants at great prices. We found them on google about 6 months ago now it's the only place we go to find plants. We even got our family so come here. If your lucky maybe you will get to meet the two dogs that ride around with the owner in his golf cart too! read more

The plant selection here was excellent and the prices were much lower than the competition in the area. On top of that, the service was stellar. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick out a selection of plants that best suited what I was looking for. It's definitely my top choice for all landscaping needs now. Tip: This spot can be a little hard to find if you're not looking for it; I drove right by it after leaving Paradise Nursery (high, inconsistent pricing and terrible customer service). read more
