Every visit is wonderful, they're both so personable and attentive, and the unique finds are phenomenal. Each visit is at least a 1.5 to 2- hour ordeal as I gab away and meticulously go through each rack (and most times double back). Madewell, J Crew, Urban Outfitters-- oh my! ...and in Gainesville, FL?! I stan. No matter when I visit, there's always something (basically everything) rare and wonderful in this store, and also I run across an amazing shoe or two. Weddings, events, and whatever-- I know I can always find some fabulous piece at Urban. The time and attention put into buying and restocking is clear and evident. The prices are great, and the sales are even better. I have run into some store hour issues post-Covid, but I am also and regrettably aware of a few health issues that make it so. I truly hope to always have this store to visit when I'm in the area. It's become a must-stop, and amazing treat that I look forward to when I'm in town. Thank you Lilly for your years of customer service, for heightening the style game, and for bringing apex brands to Gainesville in one shop. For me, you've truly made your mark!

I brought a friend here for her first ever Plato's Closet experience because I had been talking the store up and helping her sort through clothes she wanted to sell so she could refresh her wardrobe with some new staples. Instead of having a positive experience, we left embarrassed and confused. When our buy was returned, someone had written directly on our "Sign to Sell" slip, "Smells like cat pee!!" There was absolutely no reason for such an unprofessional comment. None of the clothes had been around cats or exposed to pet odors, and if there had been a concern about the condition of the items, it could have been communicated respectfully and privately. Writing a note like that for a customer to discover is incredibly rude, immature, and unnecessary. Whether the employee genuinely believed there was an odor or not, there are professional ways to handle those situations. This was not one of them. It felt disrespectful, humiliating, and reflected very poorly on the customer service at this location. My friend was left wondering if this is how Plato's Closet normally treats customers, and I was honestly embarrassed after recommending this store to her. A little professionalism and basic courtesy go a long way. I hope management addresses how employees communicate with customers because no one should leave feeling disrespected over a simple buy appointment. We won't be returning to this location.

Ross has always been known for it's prices and it's no different now, especially with the influx of amazing brands they carry. Malgorzata describes her establishment as "an eclectic gallary and boutique with handmade clothing, accessories and much more." Within its walls can be found artisan gifts of handmade jewelry; unique mobiles & clocks; purses, clothing, scarves and hats; musical wall art; pottery; baskets; and beautiful woven clothing made by Malgorzeta herself. The loom is on the premises so you can see what she's creating. (Malgorzeta has 20 years of weaving experience.) Art pieces on site rotate out so new artists are featured; over 200 artists are represented. If there's something you want, but can't find in the shop, just ask; she's happy to order it for you if she's able. (I am currently awaiting a stylish handbag in a color she didn't carry.)
