None of the workers came out to greet us or ask if we needed any help when we first got there. There was one guy who politely asked if I needed help bringing my garbage bins up to the weighing area while I was already in line, which I gladly accepted. The cashier was friendly, quick to sort the bins, weigh, and pay. The area is a little tight with a few dedicated parking spots. It is between the liquor store and the auto parts store, in a driveway into the shopping center. So it's busy with traffic, other customers and not the cleanest area, but they got the job done, and I was grateful that they were open on a Sunday. I'll use them again!

I crush my cans at home and separate the plastic bottles in different bags. This makes the dumping of recycling easier when I get to Ocean's. I am able to bring a couple of cans and in one can put the aluminum and in the other, the plastic bottles. I do collect months at a time and then go to Ocean's with a bigger haul with bags of both plastic and cans to recycle and I do end up getting anywhere between $30-$40. This is my go to recycling place and I highly recommend you recycle and check out Ocean's Recycling!

They are well organized and for a recycling place they are clean for as clean a recycling place can be. They spray sanitizer on the bins after each use and employees wear gloves and masks. They are super friendly and help explain how to sort your recyclables. They exchange rate is better than some smaller places too. We will continue to come here.

I could never give 5 stars to an experience where you stand in line to recycle cans in a loud…read morechaotic environment, only to get dirty nasty up to your elbows. But for what it is, this is a very efficient recycling center in a town without a lot of great options. For some time now, we've had our son collect cans and bottles which I agree to cash in for his piggy bank money. It's a laborious process. First you need to separate the cans, bottles and plastics, then separate them again based on things like size and CRV. Then you take them down, transfer them to a series of grody trash cans and let the staff weight them out. don't expect to leave here and go straight to lunch. Let's just say the complimentary hand sanitizer on the counter, while thoughtful, doesn't begin to do the trick. The staff is super nice, efficient and great at what they do. I even introduced the guy to some new types of beer based on my drinking habits. All in all an experience made best by the people who run it.

So the turn around time to get an empty bin was longer than I've ever experienced at other recycling centers. BUT DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PAYMENT. I brought aluminum cans and plastic bottles. My slip clearly said #1 for plastics, but yet the lady at the desk put "scrap plastic" which was only 0.05/lb vs 1.46/lb I was supposed to receive. I'm semi new to recycling but I knew something was wrong when I only received $8 payment. When I took it back and told her, she had to look for my original paper that she had ripped to double check. Thankfully it all got sorted out.
