Employees will block you in and won't move their trucks but will collect trash or their lunch (no difference) and tell you they're working and plenty of room, but apparently not for them to park there. I don't expect anything other than defense for the crappy employee but it's probably a perk for the type of clientele that frequents a feed store. Find a better store to patronize. read more

Walked by and saw the big sign "puppies for sale." Decided to stop and take a look. I am in shock about their condition. They sit on concrete outside in the cold morning, shaking. No blankets or toys. Their faces and body dirty and looking very pitiful. The woman in the store said they were dirty because they threw up in her car. Obviously she did not clean them. That's almost as sad as selling puppies out of a trunk. She was showing the puppies to us and another possible buyer who walked away instantly after seeing them. When confronted about the poor treatment and living conditions she said they were all being picked up soon. read more

Hap has retired and now when you go in, you are not welcomed, and in fact, you feel like you are inconveniencing the guy just by simply being there. It is now run by his son-in-law, who looks like he absolutely hates the business. No longer has that small town charm feel. When Hap ran the place, he always greeted you with a smile, asked about your family, was always smiling and happy. The guy looks at you like you are pond scum. I now go to a Moorpark, which is a 20 minute drive longer, but they are always happy to see you, helpful and you don't leave feeling like the scum of the Earth. So lone Camarillo Feed store, it was great for the last 30 years until Hap left. read more

Googled "Camarillo Feed Store " and was directed here. I've never needed such supplies before and was pleasantly surprised when I found a local spot 5 minutes from where I live!! (Bonus) A YouTube video sent me on a wild goose chase for pine pellets as a cat litter substitute. To my surprise the young man working knew exactly what I was looking for. Greeted by Happy at the register, and after some small talk and a great story about his gorgeous pup Blue. We left & promised our faithful patronage. What a great experience!!! Helped me out quick, showed me samples of some of the products I wasn't sure on and loaded up my car with the heavy stuff for me. Location is a little hard to get to, being on a side street with inconvenient access points, but they were open when I needed them and that's what counts. :) read more

Love this feed shop! They almost always have what I'm looking for and they're quick to offer suggestions whenever I'm uncertain about my Pet food needs. We have two dogs and they go through a 50lb bag of food in about a month and a half (maybe two). Even though I live in Ventura, I'm happy to make the drive out to Camarillo to support a small business who pays such great attention to customer service. Also, if you're price conscious, their dog food pricing is competitive and often just a few dollars more than larger pet outlets. read more

Horrible service Store attendant was rude and acted like he didn't care if he sold products or not and didn't even want to get off his seat or bother to look up been coming to this store for years won't be coming back ever and I'm going to make sure that I let my friends and family know that if this is the way they treat loyal customers then their not worth our business he seemed more interested in reading his papers then selling items. read more

I visited this feed store for the first time and was very happy. They are right around the corner from my work so it makes it easy to pick up what I need before I leave for the day. Prices are reasonable and the employees are incredibly helpful. It was a little hard to find because my GPS didn't navigate properly but now that I know how to get there it's not a problem at all. Today I had hay, and stall mats delivered to my barn in Newbury Park and I was so amazed at how nice and helpful the gentleman who brought the delivery was! I believe his name was Justin, and he was just lovely. I have had other places deliver hay and such before but never with this level of customer service. Incredible.
