Employees will block you in and won't move their trucks but will collect trash or their lunch (no difference) and tell you they're working and plenty of room, but apparently not for them to park there. I don't expect anything other than defense for the crappy employee but it's probably a perk for the type of clientele that frequents a feed store. Find a better store to patronize. read more

Walked by and saw the big sign "puppies for sale." Decided to stop and take a look. I am in shock about their condition. They sit on concrete outside in the cold morning, shaking. No blankets or toys. Their faces and body dirty and looking very pitiful. The woman in the store said they were dirty because they threw up in her car. Obviously she did not clean them. That's almost as sad as selling puppies out of a trunk. She was showing the puppies to us and another possible buyer who walked away instantly after seeing them. When confronted about the poor treatment and living conditions she said they were all being picked up soon. read more

I went in, this morning, for some pot belly pig food and also got some DE and pot belly pig treats! Place is a rustic Feed store and reminded me of old town camarillo, which I like! The man was nice and helped me out carried the 50 pound bag to my rig! Will be coming back! Thank you! ‍ read more

Hap has retired and now when you go in, you are not welcomed, and in fact, you feel like you are inconveniencing the guy just by simply being there. It is now run by his son-in-law, who looks like he absolutely hates the business. No longer has that small town charm feel. When Hap ran the place, he always greeted you with a smile, asked about your family, was always smiling and happy. The guy looks at you like you are pond scum. I now go to a Moorpark, which is a 20 minute drive longer, but they are always happy to see you, helpful and you don't leave feeling like the scum of the Earth. So lone Camarillo Feed store, it was great for the last 30 years until Hap left. read more

Googled "Camarillo Feed Store " and was directed here. I've never needed such supplies before and was pleasantly surprised when I found a local spot 5 minutes from where I live!! (Bonus) A YouTube video sent me on a wild goose chase for pine pellets as a cat litter substitute. To my surprise the young man working knew exactly what I was looking for. Greeted by Happy at the register, and after some small talk and a great story about his gorgeous pup Blue. We left & promised our faithful patronage. What a great experience!!! They just don't make them like that anymore. Highly recommended! read more

Got here just before closing but the man still working was polite and professional. Helped me out quick, showed me samples of some of the products I wasn't sure on and loaded up my car with the heavy stuff for me. Location is a little hard to get to, being on a side street with inconvenient access points, but they were open when I needed them and that's what counts. :) read more

Love this feed shop! They almost always have what I'm looking for and they're quick to offer suggestions whenever I'm uncertain about my Pet food needs. We have two dogs and they go through a 50lb bag of food in about a month and a half (maybe two). Even though I live in Ventura, I'm happy to make the drive out to Camarillo to support a small business who pays such great attention to customer service. Also, if you're price conscious, their dog food pricing is competitive and often just a few dollars more than larger pet outlets. read more

Horrible service Store attendant was rude and acted like he didn't care if he sold products or not and didn't even want to get off his seat or bother to look up been coming to this store for years won't be coming back ever and I'm going to make sure that I let my friends and family know that if this is the way they treat loyal customers then their not worth our business he seemed more interested in reading his papers then selling items. read more

I visited this feed store for the first time and was very happy. They are right around the corner from my work so it makes it easy to pick up what I need before I leave for the day. Prices are reasonable and the employees are incredibly helpful. It was a little hard to find because my GPS didn't navigate properly but now that I know how to get there it's not a problem at all. I will definitely continue to purchase from them. read more

Today I had hay, and stall mats delivered to my barn in Newbury Park and I was so amazed at how nice and helpful the gentleman who brought the delivery was! I believe his name was Justin, and he was just lovely. I have had other places deliver hay and such before but never with this level of customer service. Incredible. I've known Hap since I was 8 years old. I can't imagine camarillo without him. Such a knowledge man and lover of animals. It hasn't been an easy or lucrative career for Hap but he did it for the love of people and animals. I'm glad he stayed. read more

I am new to the chicken urban community. Camarillo feed store was recommended to me because of its knowledgeable staff and great selection of products especially for a first timer who don't know what they're doing buyers. I would fall into that category. Shirley and Rob are great business owners and have helped me tremendously in choosing not only my wonderful mini flock of hens, But after learning that I intended on raising a fully organic chicken household, they did not try to upsell or oversell me With not needed merchandise, but taught me to build upon what I needed when I needed it. The store is clean, welcoming And has that country feeling that just makes it all come together. Likewise, upon coming home, I noticed these razor burns on our dog's stomach. After that, about once a week we would take him to regular daycare just so he can get used to being around the employees and the dogs. When we would pick him up, he would be so full of energy and joy. He would mainly stick by the people rather than the dogs, he's just like that. During his stay, he had gotten a minor injury(due to his fault not the daycare), which they called us to let us know of what had happened, what they will be doing (cleaning the wound and making sure he doesn't lick it). If it had escalated, they would provide some medication, but luckily he was perfectly fine and unbothered. They were very informative and caring for the dogs, have a great location, and the people are kind, we are grateful. Although we do not need to take him to daycare or to board him anytime soon, we would definitely return here if we needed to.

I would give this place a 10 star. I have animals that require big bags of food. 10 star on their low prices! 1 star on their Customer service you don't find this anywhere! Te owner never knew I was disabled and he asked what I was looking for, rounded up and collected the items brought it to the register and helped load it up! So many business lack this good old fashioned full quality customer service and care! It may seem small, but the prices and and services I believe just make things harder to keep fully stocked AND they will always have what you need and if they dont they will get it! Priceless! So if yo have horses live stock pot belly pigs rabbits small pets, jump into you vehicle and drop all other places you buy from! Camarillo feed store is a great one stop shop for feed, supplies, tack and hay also firewood and propane Happy, the owner has been at it for many years and has a wealth of knowledge. we get feed for our chickens and ducks here. not to mention we got the birds from happy too. They have all the supplies for all types of pets from horses to rabbits.. oh yea we get rabbit pellets here too. funny thing about rabbits, you feed them pellets and they make you new ones lol They have firewood for a great price and the propane is not too expensive either Love the new location!! read more

I was waiting for the vet hospital to open when my puppies threw up in their travel kennel. I put the puppies in the feed stores kennel while cleaning up my car and travel kennel.
