Instead, what you actually get is a one-hour train ride, a tiny carton of chocolate milk, a small candy cane from Santa that seemed like it had been sitting around for a while, and a cookie... except they had already run out by the time we got ours. There were enough people on the train that they were probably bringing in well over $1,200 for a single one-hour ride, yet two seats were covered with plastic bags because, I'm guessing, some kids couldn't hold their hot cocoa. Little details like that made it feel like corners were being cut. The train staff, however, were fantastic. The conductors were genuinely friendly and treated my daughter wonderfully. Santa was believable, warm, and exactly what you'd hope for. The kids also ended up singing Christmas songs together because none of the staff were really performers, but everyone did their best to keep the atmosphere festive. Here's the funny part: while I spent the whole ride mentally calculating whether we got our money's worth, my daughter couldn't have cared less. She absolutely loved it. To her, it was magical. In the end, that's what matters most to me. I still think the value for the money was pretty questionable--and, honestly, it felt like quite a racket--but seeing my daughter so happy made it hard to stay cynical. It's Christmas, after all, and that joy counts for something.

You start in Filmore and cruise (slowly) to Santa Paula. The train has about 5 total PARTY cars. Wine was at one end, beer at the other. The last car is open (free air) and had a rock'n band! Lot's of Jimi Hendrix and Stevey Ray Von. It was a kick crossing HWY 126 a couple of times with the band jamming, people dancing and everyone raising there glasses to the cars stopped at the train crossing. Definitely a must do.

Check-In & Service: We arrived early, and the check-in process was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. After choosing our carts and loading our belongings, we had time to use the restroom before the ride began. It's easy to drive and if you don't feel like pedaling, the motor will do it for you -- no steering is required! Pro Tips Bring a Small Pillow This was a game-changer! We brought small pillows and placed them behind our backs, which significantly reduced vibration and made the ride much more comfortable. Thank you to the reviewer who suggested this--we had zero complaints. Bug Spray & Sun Protection Bring bug spray or insect repellent. The bugs weren't too bad during our visit, but it's nice to have. An umbrella can also provide extra shade if desired. Bring Water There is a cup holder on each cart, so staying hydrated is easy. Secure Loose Items Be careful when placing items in the cup holder. There's a small opening on one side, and smaller items can slip through. My bug spray fell out during the ride. Fortunately, there's also a basket available for purses and other belongings. Hair & Helmets If you have long hair, wear it down or in a very low ponytail so it fits comfortably under the helmet. Shoes Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended. Since you may be pedaling at times, it's possible to lose a loose-fitting sandal or flip-flop. Sunglasses Definitely bring sunglasses to protect your eyes from dust, wind, and the occasional bug. Restrooms & Snacks There is an opportunity along the route to purchase snacks and use the restroom (outhouse). Overall We had a fun time. We chose the 1 PM time slot, which is a 2-hour scheduled ride that includes two stops--one in Fillmore and another at Prancer's Farm on the way back. The ride was full with 16 guests, and the guides did a great job leading from both the front and back, making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. Check-in was quick and easy, and they even provided complimentary popcorn and water, which was a nice touch before getting started. The ride itself was an absolute blast and definitely a solid workout--very similar to cycling, covering just under 10 miles round trip. The carts are super easy to use, with clear instructions from the guides. Each cart comes equipped with a front storage rack, cup holders, a hand brake (which you'll appreciate on the downhill!), an odometer, and a switch to toggle between manual and automatic. The assist mode really comes in handy on the uphill stretch heading toward Fillmore, while the ride back is a smooth and enjoyable downhill cruise. The weather couldn't have been better, and the scenery was incredible. Along the way, we took in beautiful views of avocado and lemon groves, cactus fields, and plenty of wildlife--squirrels, lizards, and even bees hard at work pollinating. It made the whole experience feel peaceful and immersive. On the way back, we stopped for about 20-30 minutes at Prancer's Farm, where we got to see a variety of animals including goats, pigs, bulls, and sheep. There's also a petting zoo option if you purchase tickets. The farm had a fun seasonal setup for Easter, along with a shop where you can buy fresh fruit, beef jerky, and other local goods. Overall, this was one of the most fun and unique experiences we've had. If you enjoy the outdoors, want a bit of adventure, and don't mind getting in a great workout, I highly recommend giving Sunburst Railbikes a try. I immediately called Century Limo to cancel the "reservation request". Upon reviewing my credit card statement the next week I found that Century Limo had charged me a cancellation fee of $100 without ever having confirmed that I had a reservation in the first place. On the way home on the ferry we say killer whales which was truly mesmerizing! One of the best things I've ever seen.

They wear Victorian clothing and explain the early history of Pleasant Valley and how the sixteen year old Adolfo Camarillo grew his inherited ranch into the world's largest producing Lima bean center while developing a genetically distinct breed of white horses. The ranch house is a Queen Anne style mansion with 14 rooms and 6,000 square feet of space. Most of the furnishings are from the inhabited period and many are original, donated by the Camarillo family. The ranch and mansion are "handi-capable" which is very thoughtful to all who might arrive. They also have an extensive garden tour, school tour and can accommodate large events such as weddings, corporate gatherings and proms. Best of all; the entry fee is $5.00, children under 12 are free.

Loved the nightly s'mores offered and the extra bathrooms and extra large showers in side incase multiple people need to shower or the airstream bathroom is a bit too snug for you. Walking distance to the venture beach and pier and only a 20 min walk the Ventura county fair (in august). On site Tesla chargers were a nice addition for us Tesla drivers. Fresh towels and water delivered yo your door every morning also. 10/10 overall experience. Will be staying again in the future!
