The salons around the area just weren't giving "trustworthy energy" . This place though? Super legit, clean, and absolutely delivers. Ambience Walking in feels like a little slice of Vietnam--in the best way. It's welcoming, lively, and honestly a vibe. Also... there's a bar (YES, a bar). Which is genius because depending on the design you choose, you'll be parked in that chair for hours, so you might as well sip something while your nails get upgraded. Also, huge plus: everything looked clean and sanitary. No weird smells, no sketchy tools, no "why is that towel damp?" moments. Nail Techs Let's talk about the real heroes: Clarissa -- I need to personally thank her for putting her whole back into saving my husband's feet. This man had major callouses, and somehow she turned his feet into something that resembles a newborn baby's softness. I'm still shocked. A miracle worker. Ana -- She did an amazing job with my pedicure, and the massage?? Top tier. The kind that makes you forget bills exist. MVP: Sam -- Sam absolutely understood the assignment for my manicure. Not only did he listen, he EXECUTED. My design wasn't basic--this was a Pinterest-level, detailed, complex moment and he nailed it (literally). You could tell he was proud of his work... and honestly, he should be because my nails came out beautiful. Price I'm from LA, so my standards are high and my wallet has seen trauma. But the prices here are reasonable, especially for the quality. And truly, you get what you pay for--this place is worth it. I love to support local businesses, and the prices were great. There are packages available, or single services. The European facial ran $65, and the 60 minute massage $60. Sold! My day began with Jean, my massage therapist. The room was clean and homey, and was the perfect temperature. Jean was amazing. She was very thorough, and made sure that the pressure was at a level that I was comfortable with. At the start, I told her that I usually don't like my lower torso and legs done, due to extreme sensitivity, and even pain. She told me that she would go very softly and give it a try, and that if it was too sensitive, I could stop. I had no sensitivity and no pain. I had a wonderful service, and was given water and a spa wrap to prepare for my facial. I believe that my aesthetician's name was Leyna, and that she is the owner of the business. We discussed my skin goals and sensitivities. She used all natural, quality products, and was very knowledgeable. The service was thorough and relaxing. When a product made my skin feel like it was burning, Leyna quickly worked to make it more cool and comfortable. I left with very soft, moisturized skin. I will definitely be back to A Bit of Bliss. I was expected to put my hands in a bunch of dust and someone else's nasty finger nail clippings! It was absolutely disgusting. The technician didn't seem to care at all. Naturally, they reuse the same dip containers for everyone, the Emory board used was stained from multiple uses on other people, and they don't even have you wash your hands before. Far and away the least sanitary salon I've ever been to. The manicure itself turned out fine and the paint job is good, but there was nothing resembling an actual manicure here. He did nothing to my cuticles, and I didn't even get hand lotion at the end. While the dip service (which included a gel coating at the end, so if you're trying to avoid UV, this is not the place) was cheaper than I've had before ($40), it was literally JUST polish. It goes without saying.. don't expect a drink or anything from here (but honestly, I wouldn't want to consume anything in this environment!). I'd give one star but for the fact my mom got a basic pedicure, which she said was really good and really quite affordable ($28). She didn't seem to find cleanliness issues, so maybe it's just for manicures.
