An incredible team of knowledgeable, caring professionals. Have taken my cats and dogs there for over ten years.

I found this place through the rescue that I foster a senior dog through. I loved them so much that…read moreI switched to them for our dog. Her first visit was yesterday. She was stressed out and nervous, but they made her feel at ease by sitting on the floor and playing with her. They did not push me into things I was uncomfortable with, but gave me choices and even tried to help me save money with her meds and tests. They did not treat me like a bad mom because I don't like to pump my dogs full of chemicals. They were easy to talk to and ask questions so that I could make informative decisions about my dogs health and well being. We will be returning every year for check ups and anything else my pups need to be seen for. Highly recommended.

They took blood and did an exam, but said they were not sure why he was losing weight. They scheduled a dental for him in case his teeth were the problem. They also gave him an antibiotic shot. They mentioned he wasn't very compliant with the exam. At this point, my cat has gone from 20 pounds to 11 pounds, very quickly. They scheduled the dental for two months away. Uncomfortable with watching him look like he was dying while waiting for the dental in 2 months, we took him an hour away to our old vet. They palpated (no mention of lack of compliance) and found a mass in his abdomen, confirmed it with X-rays and 2 different vets both concluded it was likely cancer and he was in the process of shutting down. We didn't come home with him. In future we will continue to drive the hour to our previous (current) vet. I will add that they did communicate well. They followed up via text to see how he was getting on, which was good, but I'm disappointed they missed an abdominal mass, esp on a cat that was sooo skinny. I'm sure they'd be great for vaccinations etc.

They were amazingly good with my…read moreolder border collie and supported all my decisions as he aged and as we eventually helped him transition. A month after his passing, I contacted Dr. D. and asked him about getting a new dog and his advice was perfect. His care was excellent when my new pup broke his radius and ulna. He went above and beyond. Times are tight right now for any veterinarian in the area and the changes have been tough on everyone during COVID but HVC has done a great job in making the transitions needed. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We have used this vet for a few years. Between the office and house call they see our 5 dogs, 3…read morehorses and 4 cats. We have always had a great experience. Until this last week. A new vet came out and my bomb proof mare had exhibited behaviors I've never seen from her in 10 years we have had her. And the vet's reaction was so bad I was actually nervous the horse would get worse. Now on top of a crazy - unreasonable bill we will have to deal with the cost of reconditioning her to the vet. Then with the dogs/cats- they will just do rabies shot while they are here- and she was so terrible with the dogs- I've never seen such a thing in my 20 years of having dogs. Then by the end i offered a check for the bill- she said they would mail it so they can get it into the computer. I said ok. I get the bill in the mail and I have in bold print/ highlight- that my tests will not be completed until payment is made. Ok but I did offer payment- which until this trip had always been paid at the time of the visit. Then I see- I'm charged 3 house call fees for them coming to one address. Because two dogs are owned by one person, who lives in the same house, and the other adult in the house owns 2 of the horses and 2 of the dogs. Then they will not fix the charge for three calls because it took extra time - the visit took extra time because of the vet - not because of my animals. She was terrible with them and I've had them for 10 years and never any of these problems. I've been in boarding facilities where the vet comes and the fee is charged once and split between all of the owners who have horses seen. So for a normally 1 hour visit, they spent 2 hours and charged me 126$ for a vet call that should have been $84.
