Barbi has what you would describe, what I would describe, and what many many people on film or in person have described, as a Grand Harbor. And I don't harbor any ill feelings about that, it's actually one of the biggest turn ons. And if you don't believe me, check her out on cam den you will. We've been looking for a new place to live, further from the bustle of inner city Houston, and Katy is somewhere we've always strongly considered because of all the great food that is here, although Houston food is much better, and we've been thinking of moving to Katy because of how quiet and unspoiled it is. Besides, Katy is actually about the same distance from Chinatown (feels like it anyway) and Spring Branch as Downtown Houston (which is near where we live), so in that regard, it wouldn't be as far from the best of Houston anyway. Plus it might be good for Barbi's work, but then again it might not in some ways, as it's mostly Galleria work and Airport work. Anyway we've checked out a bunch of different apartment buildings and these guys were pretty nice and pretty accommodating, but the horror stories from the current residents that we've spoken to, and some of the things we observed when we slept over for a night with someone that lives here (who also has lots of stories), and then the other reviews, this place ended up being anything but something that we would want to be involved with. I just find the juxtaposition between the amount they charge for tiny little violations of a very strange code of conduct, versus how non-existent security is, and inappropriate interpretations of rules just for profit, even as much as towing people away that actually live here (we were worried about it when we stayed, but apparently even residents are). Definitely not going to get more than three from me. And probably won't be moving in. Not to mention they raise the price dramatically on a regular basis. But based on how beautiful it is, it's 5 stars all the way. It's so sad that so many property management companies make so many beautiful properties a bit of a nightmare to live in. read more

Camden Grand Harbor Apartments - I don't Harbor any resentment - Apartments Near Me - Katy, Texas

I only gave it 4 stars because we have only been here 2 months and we have noisy, disrespectful neighbors above us! We have no peace even after numerous complaints to the leasing office. The leasing office has been responding to all my complaints and are always very prompt! But the noise still continues and the neighbors are very inconsiderate. The noise with all the running, jumping, screaming and stomping starts about 6 or 7 AM and continues until midnight! I understand little ones run around and have a lot of energy but ALL DAY AND NIGHT?! Now that I have reported it to the leasing office, the noise seems intentional because it has become worse. I would have moved to the 3rd floor if they had elevators but they don't! And unfortunately I have osteoarthritis in my knee so I cannot climb 3 flights of stairs every day. The office has assured me that they are taking the necessary steps to inform the neighbors and to resolve the issue but it takes time. The neighbors seem to not care and continue every day. Other than that, the complex itself is great! My unit is nice and roomy! I LOVE, LOVE my patio area and how it is set up! Maintenance always responds to my request fast and most of the time the same day. The grounds are well kept and clean. The staff Jeremie, Heather and Fadi are always professional and considerate! Maintenance is always courteous. And most of the residents I have interacted with or met in passing are decent human beings and respectful. read more

So I didn't get the apartment, I wish they had more opportunities for deposits because the deposit was very high and I know it's based off of your credit. I cannot fault them for that, but it would help for them to have some type of program as I've seen other apartments in Katyor Houston has for a lower deposit amount. The place was nice and very spacious. And it's minutes away from the mall. Maybe one day soon I can apply again. read more

The location is great, right near the highway and shopping. The apartment we had was ok. It had some general wear-and-tear which is normal. The service and general attitude of the staff are a big negative. Jeremy gave me a tour, and made comments such as "there's covered parking available" and "cable and internet are included in your rent" but did not specify that you had to pay EXTRA for covered parking and didn't explain you are on the lowest of data tiers and again have to pay EXTRA to up your data cap from Xfinity. I feel he was dishonest and misleading with me. I also have to admit I let him sucker me in to signing on the spot, as is likely their standard sales tactic, he showed me a chart/calendar where every day the price of rent went up, so if I wanted the best rate, I'd have to sign up fast. I spoke with him about these issues afterwards, and he just seemed to either not understand or not care, and had a very condescending attitude. There is virtually no security. My first night there, a car was waiting outside the gate for someone to open it, then followed me through. I called security and of course they were just an answering service and said they'd let a maintenance guy know. They asked if I was concerned and I responded, why is the gate there if we don't care if non-residents can come through without a key? There was often also the issue of people hanging out in their cars in the parking lot, listening to music. Sometimes with the engines running, just sitting there. Of course you could then hear this inside the apartment. People also walk their dogs with no leash and many don't pick up their dog's droppings. No security guard or maintenance people to watch out for this and enforce the rules. Some folks would let their kids walk these big dogs that were on a leash, but that the kids couldn't control. I didn't feel safe letting my kids walk around on grounds and my wife and I would generally carry our kids to the cars when coming or going. The A/C was getting weak, and I scheduled maintenance. They sent someone over, and I watched him through my window put freon on a neighbors A/C unit, then knock on my door and tell me I'm all set. I showed him that the unit he fixed wasn't mine, and he kind of got annoyed with me, then went out and looked at my unit, came back and said I'd need a replacement. I asked when that would be and he said "Tomorrow, but since your temperature is 73 right now you'll be fine." I then tried to get a specific time so I could plan my day for my wife and kids, and he repeated it's only 73 in here, etc. I got annoyed i admit, and told him not to tell me and my family what we are comfortable with. I'm renting an apartment that should have a working unit. I scheduled the fix, it got done, then a day or two later their head office called and asked for an update. I told them this story of the maintenance man fixing the wrong unit, then minimizing my issue and she apologized, but still, ridiculous I had to go through any of this. The porches and balconies have a very bright light in the ceiling that cannot be dimmed or turned off. This is likely for security purposes, but it made it too uncomfortable to sit outside at night. My daughter liked to play in two large cardboard moving boxes we had left over. We kept them on the porch, and she would play house out there or whatever. They weren't visible from the street, as we had bushes covering our balcony, but we still got a letter from the complex that the boxes violated the rules and we had to remove them. Um, ok. We did, then of course I notice all the random clutter other apartments had that was also an eyesore, that didn't seem to be a problem. One apartment above ours actually hung an advertisement on their balcony selling computer repair services. The worst part for my stay was the end, where as I had decided to not stay there past my initial lease, but about 45 days before the end, they put a letter in my door, telling me if I renew my rate will go up over $200 per month, or I could go month-to-month at an additional $600! WTF!? I hope people are stuck in these situations and forced to pay those kinds of increases. I happily gave my notice of leave, and will avoid this company in the future. It strikes me as a big corporation that runs numbers instead of creating relationships with people. My advice, stay away from this place. read more

If I could rate them a 0, I would. Horrible management, unprofessional and awful to deal with. I have lived in 5+ apartments in different parts of Texas and have NEVER dealt with a complex with this many issues. While living there - 1. The tile flooring was breaking into pieces since the day we moved in. Was not move-in ready and everything in the unit is poorly constructed. The dishwasher was disgusting and always had issues. 2. Parking was ALWAYS an issue. Be prepared to walk, you may have to park on the other side of the complex. And don't even think about trying to invite a guest over, limited guest parking that's almost always full. 3. Noisy neighbors and very thin walls. You'll hear everything going on everywhere. Move-Out was the worst part of the entire experience though. They never sent me a move-out statement, though they claim they sent 1 email - no follow up calls, letters etc, to ensure I received it. Instead they automatically send you to collections and file a false claim. When I finally received my statement - after calling and emailing them requesting them to actually send it to me - I find out that they added on a charge to replace my carpets. Carpets that in no way needed replacing - their pictures show normal wear and tear. They then say that they replace carpets in ALL units with pets, even though my dog caused no damage. Their carpet vendor said the carpets could have been cleaned OR they could be replaced - this is obviously the case always. They chose replace and are trying to charge me an additional $500~ for normal wear and tear. I asked the manager to tell me how the wear was in any way caused by us doing anything we shouldn't have - she had no answer for me. I asked her how we could have prevented this normal wear - no answer for me. But they still refuse to remove the charge even though we did nothing to cause damage. This is a warning to anyone looking to live here. Very disappointed in this property and Camden as a whole. read more

I been here for 15 months and I told Jennifer that I would write her a review of my honest experience here. Soooooo here is the deal. Jennifer is a awesome sales professional. I came in with a very low budget and told her what I wanted exactly. She took me to what was asked for and then asked a very important questions (I can't remember the question exactly lol) BUT he question she asked was open ended and was in relation to can you see yourself here for the next 15 months that's a whole year and 3 months. I loved it but I said no.... I couldn't. Then she asked me and my wife what we thought was missing. She said it was a little smaller and we have growing boys. Long story short I came in with a budget and left spending more than I wanted and I have been here for 15months enjoying the ride. I have been with Camden for 3 years and that was by choice they kind of spoiled us. We have had the sink & tub clog up - Don't panic just make a service request We have had 's - same thing just make a service request We have young kids and they got really loud - I know our neighbors hate our guts lol but they never have been rude. Parking was amazing at first now parking is a little more difficult. Overall I went through a career change and funds got extremely tight. In all honesty Camden should have thrown me and my family out due to the times I was late on rent, but they worked with us through that tough time and gave me a chance to make it all right. On my first bonus check I cleared all balances. In conclusion I'm not writing this review because I was asked to Im writing this review to inform everyone 3 things. Camden is a great location with amazing tradition and an amazing company story from how they have expanded to how they treat their employees. Camden is more expensive then other apartments you will not have to deal with majority of the annoying things that come with renting an apartment. Camden is not affiliated in any way with myself who I work for or my family. They have their flaws they have their systems in place to correct those flaws as well. We lived here for a short time between houses this summer and cannot say enough good things about the property and its staff. First of all, the management was very flexible regarding our short-term living needs and gave us the ability to lease for a short, indefinite length of time. We found this to be highly unusual. Most places wouldn't entertain anything short of 6 months to a year, or they wanted an extreme premium for alternative options. Once we moved in, we were amazed with the quality of the apartment, its finishings, and the property in general. For the cost, you cannot beat it! Our friends who visited were all very impressed as well. We really enjoyed the grounds and the facilities in addition to our apartment. The pool is well kept and friendly to everyone from young families to older folks. The workout facility is comparable to what you'll find at a high end hotel. Also, the management frequently throws little events and parties that make it easier to meet your neighbors and feel right at home quickly. I can't say enough about the staff here! We love it. Monday night our kitchen sink started bubbling up water. I called the office after hours & immediately maintenance had called me back. He came right over & fixed the problem! We even got to watch the football game while the work was being done! I appreciate him taking time away from his family & being able to enjoy his job. Home is truly where the heart is and lives. Most have heard that phrase or variations thereof. However, few REALLY appreciate those words until something happens. Our home of 20 yrs had burned downin late spring, and we suddenly found ourselves displaced, and very much dismayed. All I asked of my husband was to find us a nice, and safe place to live. He immediately got on line and Camden Grand Harbor was the apt community that he found. I looked it over, on line, and gave it 2 thumbs up! My husband asked, "Don't you want to go in person and look?". My reply was very simply, "No, I love what I see, read many great reviews, and just want to be settled.". We quickly moved in and we have absolutely loved it! The apt community is as beautiful as the pictures if not more so in person. The surrounding grounds are wonderfully manicured and beautiful! There are not enough words to truly show the appreciation we have for the office staff and maintenance staff!! They all work in tandem to keep this community worthy of high praise. In regard to the office staff, they're always there to greet you with a warm smile, a cheerful hello, and a willingly helpful hand. The office is always available to address any issues, big or small, that you may have. It's important to note that you are openly welcome not only to address the leasing agents, but the management as well. Not to mention, when you stop by the office, they know you by name!! Our appreciation most certainly extends to the awesome maintenance team, who are often taken for granted or forgotten because they work behind the scenes so often. Keeping this community looking beautiful and running smoothly is no easy task! They too, somehow manage to know who you are, and by your name. Often stopping to chat or say hello during their busy day. In addition, the maintenance team is very quick to respond to your needs, but also will come after hrs to fix a problem you may have. I have NEVER heard of maint. at any complex coming to fix things after hours. Lastly, for any other needs or reasons you may have, help is just a phone call away. There is an answering service in place when/if the office is busy or even after hrs. In closing, remember that I said at the beginning that home is truly where the heart is and lives? We learned that no truer words have been spoken! Why? Like I mentioned, our home of 20 yrs burned down and we found ourselves in apts. Have stayed here because the location and school district, but my apartment flooded for the 6th time in the past 13 months tonight. It is a known structural plumbing issue maintenance has been aware of for months and have only used the bandaid approach for repairs. Sheet rock and base boards have had to be replaced due to water damage. Cabinet drawers and doors are warped due to having filled up repeatedly with water. Living room area rugs and upholstered items have to be thrown out. As I write this I am on my 4th hour waiting for maintenance people to come dry up the standing water as my kids try to sleep in an apartment reeking of sewage. All this in a place I am paying over $ 1800.00 a month to rent. read more

The staff is amazing and very sweet. If you're a young professional this probably isn't the best location for you. It's mostly families with teenagers. The teenagers ruined the experience. They break into the pool overnight, horse around in the gym and hang out in the common area making it uncomfortable to relax. Imagine 10 teenagers and kids running through the complex acting a fool? After a long week all you want is some peace & quiet. You can't do much with them terrorizing the complex. Management claims they are powerless but, refuse to speak to their parents. I am counting down the months until my lease is up. I can't wait to get away from this complex. A couple of points: * The unassigned parking is a joke with the amount of tenants and guest. Finding parking nearby your unit is impossible some nights. * Assigned parking is $30 they really should be ashamed of themselves * The gym is basic nothing to really drop your membership for it could be better. read more

I accidentally damaged my remote that I need to get inside the gate. It costs $50 to get a new remote but Jeremie told me about the Chirp app that can be used to get into the gate instead! I saved $50 because of Jeremie and I appreciate it! Also, the rest off the staff is really nice and obviously cares about their guest. They are quick to respond to maintenance issues too! read more

I have lived in the Camden Grand Harbor apartments for a year and a half. The staff have always been amazing and efficient! The maintenance team are friendly, proactive, and work with haste! The community is clean and the management team offer great resident benefits. It's beyond the amenities here. They have community parties and food trucks once a week. I've seen them pass out coffee, lemonade, and even ICE CREAM! Valet trash is consistent and courteous. My electricity bill is low because the apartments are well made and insulated. Very lovely apartments. The management is very nice and maintenance requests are usually completed within a day or 2. They have a reasonable lease cancellation option if you need it. The property is well maintained and is generally quiet. The only thing is that the fire alarms in the apartments are super sensitive and cause a racket if something gets on your burner or if you burn something in the oven. Other than that glad we chose these apartments and we are sad to leave. read more

Camden does not deserve any stars. It is one of the worst place to live here. The staff and managers are rude, nasty and very un professional staff. Do not be fool when you come in they will seem the most nicest people just to get you to sign the lease because they know after that they can be rude and nasty because they already have your contracts. Also the people that give good review they are people that work for Camden in a different location and the other people that give good review are also mean people and liars. Please do not be fool. Wonderful staff, great neighborhood! Been here 1 1/2 yrs and could not be happier with our decision to stay. Staff is fantastic, always happy to help. Maintenance staff is on it! not that we've had any issues, we had a question about our dishwasher & they came the next day. Not only did they figure out the issue (user error) they changed the kitchen lightbulbs that were apparently dull ( we didn't even notice) & furnace filter (that didn't need changed for another few months) & checked our water heater temperature. Moving from Ohio to a new city blind, we found CGH online and called to find out more. After spending an entire day talking with apt communities, we made the best decision! CGH worked with us effortlessly throughout the next few months, so moving in even from across the country was a breeze. Camden Grand Harbor...... This place is as exciting as its name is. First of all, let me give a little background on from where I came from. I lived in Dubai (City of Lights) for most part of my life, and was recently transferred to Houston/Katy area. Based on several recommendations from my work colleagues, I planned visiting Camden Grand Harbor. The locality was safe, and great to enjoy peacefully whether you are a young professional or living with your family and raising your kids..... As soon as I entered the Leasing Office, I saw the difference. The staff and management was very friendly, professional and they would always make you feel comfortable at home. Within 5 minutes, I decided to stay here in the back of my mind. Apartments are built in a nice organized way, plenty of parking spots, carports and individual garage. The amenities are outstanding, cleanliness within the outside the apartment complex is phenomenal. Exteriors are well maintained. The maintenance team responds within a couple of hours' time. Overall, it is hard to find such a place in the surrounding areas. The only tricky part is how your neighbors (upstairs/downstairs/left/right) are! It seems that flooring of the apartment is very thin. Either the flooring is too thin or there are zombies living upstairs my apartment. Whenever they walk the sound of their walking is heard loudly. Also, if someone from upstairs opens and shuts down the main entrance door (inside the patio), I almost feel it was a massive explosion or an earthquake. My whole apartment feels that it's going to do down! Also, I have been noticing that we recently are getting some ride residents who are not obeying the rules of the community such as speed limit while driving in the property. I am feeling very unsafe now to have my family cross the roads as the residents over speeds a lot. Hope management would take strict action on this besides just posting speed limit signs and warnings. Apart from that, we love Stephanie, Brittany and our property manager Tom and all the personnel who makes Camden Grand Harbor up and running! read more
