They are totally unethical and dishonest. they will do things without…read moreyour authorization that are totally unnecessary and insist you pay for it. we had a mama dog & 8 puppies with them ( they were there for health certificates and DHPP) that all had fecals AND THEY WERE ALL NEGATIVE. the vet gave them all DEWORMER (this is what you give dogs that have positive fecals) --A) without our permission B) with no need or reason to give the wormer. plus they gave them all bordatella which we NEVER REQUESTED.. they expected us to pay for all of this--over $300. when we pointed out nicely that we requested none of these, they removed the charges and the manager assured us all was good. then we received a letter telling us not to come back. we had been working with this clinic for almost 20 years! it is clearly now all about MONEY. we are a 501c3 rescue and have never had a problem with them in all that time.clearly they care nothing about saving dogs or doing the right thing by their clients. after this experience,this place and their vets can NEVER EVER BE TRUSTED by anyone. I recently adopted another fur baby and Dr Griffin and her staff have gone out of their way to answer questions and provide care. I don't think I could trust another Veterinarian in Columbia, especially since most are corporate and require extra fees, testing that isn't needed, and staff that seem to come and go. If you are looking for a Vet in the area I'm sure they wouldn't mind you stopping in and checking them out. They are always welcoming and helpful.

I am writing this review now because I went to my new vet(Cat Clinic) the other day and had a wonderful, easy, affordable experience, and it made me write this review. First issue is the never ending "required tests" stool tests, bloodwork, and other things. They make you do them or at least made me every single time I came in regardless of the issue. This of course ran the bill up every single time to around $600-$700 dollars. Second issue was Dr. Griffins attitude. She couldn't be more abrasive if she tried and I always tried to be nice but I always got the feeling she seemed to feel like she was wasting her time talking to me. She was condescending and definitely didn't respect or care about my time. The final straw was when she said she tried to have me bring in another stool sample only two weeks after a prior visit just to get anxiety meds. It's literally 30% a scam to earn extra money. Lastly for example the Cat Clinic for a yearly check up was only $250 with two vaccines, Flea Meds for 2 cats, and anxiety meds. Which is the primary reason for writing this as I do feel I have been overcharged by Griffin for years. The Cat Clinic has never asked for a stool sample and they ask if I'd like to bloodwork which they don't recommend unless there's a concern. Goodluck with Griffin Animal Hospital if you don't believe me.

Dr. Allen is an excellent vet & I highly recommend her. She has a calming manner even when I am hyper because I have a sick pet or having to let a sick pet pass.
