They had an after hours checking drop box, but they didn't give us other information like the bathroom code. The phone number provided just went to voicemail and it was for reservations only. The next morning a lady came to our site asking if we needed the code for the restroom. We said we got it from someone else. She got upset with us that we did that. I said it would be nice if there was a means to get that information outside of office hours. She snapped back saying most people call during office hours. I said that we didn't even know this place existed until after there office was closed. We're just passing through. She said once again that most people call during office hours. I reiterated that we just found out about this place after their office was closed. For the prices they are charging it would be nice to have access to all amenities upon arrival even if it is outside of office hours. She just turned her back and stomped away. Very poor customer experience. The campground was decent. Could have more stars on this review but not being able to get at what you're paying for and the rude interaction made this a place that we'll skip in the future.

When I spoke to them on the phone they made sure I knew exactly how to arrive (there is a low bridge in town that can damage RVs). The park was well kept and quiet. Looking at a map, I assumed the "river" next to the park was swimmable, but it actually is a canal that was quite swampy and not anything you would want to swim in. BUT, there is an awesome walking trail along the canal which was great for me and the dogs after a long road trip!

Water pressure and power are reliable and the sewer access was very good as well. The site (31) was level and able to easily fit my 37 ft travel trailer. They had close and adequate parking for extra vehicles if you have an extra vehicle with you. The shower area is clean and adequate. They have two washers and dryers on site and a small store within the office area. They also have firewood for $8 a bundle and they also have other items one can purchase while there. They also rent kayaks if one is interested in that. Would recommend and will stay there again in the future.

The only issues we had were with the washer and dryers being down. Both weeks we were there we had to call for help. The gals in housekeeping (Angela?) were great. They made sure the machines got working so I could complete my laundry. The other issue is with speed. I'm know it's hard to keep at the 5.5 mph, but some are going over 15mph in their vehicles. You really have to watch for golf carts going too fast too.

We didn't have neighbors next to us, which made it very relaxing and quiet. This has been the most expensive campground I have stayed at. Not sure that is worth that amount of money. My site was full of geese poop (that I thought was dog poop at first). I spent a good time cleaning poop before laying my rugs and setting up. The fire pit had garbage on it. For what I paid, I expected someone inspected the site before assigning it to us. Weight the amenities against the price when making your decision. I originally booked just because I wanted to stay in a waterfront site, but I don't think I will return.

The town was so quaint with pizza shop, coffee shop & market & giftshop . Again , just so down to earth. A man met us at the gate and showed us to our site telling us that they were building a pool for next year. Their daughter in law answered the phone when we called from hours away and was so kind & helpful. They were just starting to decorate for Halloween and doing a amazingly creative job . I love Halloween so I throughly enjoyed it. We already said that we will make this a stopping point each way every year and spend a extra day or 2 here.

Was on the board for about 3 months until I realized the board was not interested in preserving the club and keeping trespassers out. Have asked about posting more no trespassing signs, and was told quite angrily that we run on volunteers and if i want them so badly volunteer and do it myself. Im sorry I didnt know keeping trespassers out was that much of an imposition... Some of us work for a living and do not have the time to donate and belong to relax on our days off
