Friends took me to see the musical revue, Aretha, at Camelot Theatre. It was SPECTACULAR!!!!! The theatre itself is lovely and well-designed. I think every seat in the house must be a good one. The folks that work there were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. I felt incredibly comfortable there, which added immensely to my enjoyment. Well done! PS. I saw Hansel & Gretel: A Panto Tale. Camelot is such an awesome fun theater, and a total hidden gem! The space is small and intimate, which makes shows feel personal and special, for very affordable prices! The talent is amazing!!! And the performers really know how to connect with the audience in a natural, easy way. The energy in the room is great, and just being there I felt pure joy. I left smiling, from such a pleasurable experience! If you love live shows with heart, and High Level talent, Camelot Theater is a great place to go! Grand Experience @ Camelot Theatre in Talent, OR. ! What an Ensemble for the Hollywood Musical of City of Angels! Stellar performance from the 3 leading men: Zach Virden (Stone), Ryon Lane (Stine), and Connor Lomeli (Manny). My favorite scenes with these gentlemen were the fantastic duet of "You're Nothing Without Me" and the fun and catchy "All Ya Have To Do Is Wait". Shout out to Noah Fitterer for nailing an entertaining Mandrill ! As for the strong cast of women, the 3 standout performers were: Haley Jane Forsyth (Oolie/Donna), Kaitie Warner (Bobbi/Gabby), and Alyssa Hertzog (Mallory). The duet "What You Don't Know About Women" was absolutely phenomenal, "Lost and Found" excitingly seductive, and "You Can Always Count On Me" perfection. The Theatre itself was regal, staff was polite and helpful, and merchandise was available, including refreshments. Convenient bathroom location with multiple stalls. My husband and I agree that "Spotlight on Aretha" was one of the best performances we've ever seen at Camelot Theater (and we've been there many times). Having three singers was a great idea--all of them expertly belted out the songs, in true Aretha style. Wow! The Rogue Suspects band also gave an outstanding performance, each impressively "giving their all" for each tune. I can't imagine how the whole group will do this for 16 performances, but KUDOS TO THEM! After seeing some clunkers in 2025 (especially the disastrous "Hansel & Gretel"), we were ready to give up on Camelot. Now, our confidence is restored and we look forward to more fantastic shows in 2026! read more

Sent friends to use my tickets to see CITY OF ANGELES last eve. They were very uncomfortable with the edgy and sexual content. I was so embarrassed, as I had recommended Camelot as being wholesome and family friendly. I won't be sending any friends to see a Play there again. The Scapino show last night was outstanding. This comedy showcased some excellent acting by a well rehearsed enthusiast cast I haven't laughed so hard in years. The theater staff were friendly and the price of tickets & refreshments was unbelievably reasonable. Terrific value for money, if you enjoy a good time this is definitely worth a visit! read more

I took my granddaughter to see this last night. I realize that this is a small close venue, and the need for masks. Soon after the play started, the show suddenly stopped and two people came out to scold and shame a few people who were either not wearing their mask or not wearing it properly. This could and have been handled privately, but for some reason, they decided to humiliate guests in front of others. Anyway, it ruined the fun for both of us, and we left after the first act. I will not be a part of public shaming, and I will not be returning to Camelot theater. read more

Saw Wizard of Oz tonight. It was quite a dingy little theater with no elbow room in the seating. I love Wizard of Oz and usually watch it once a year, that being said, I would loathe to have to sit through another rendition of their take on the classic. It started going downhill when Uncle Henry swore "gd" which was totally uncalled for. Then the Cowardly lion sang he would be the "king of kings" which is not in the original dialogue of the film. Just one more bit of theatrical license bordering on blasphemy. They added a sequence about jitterbugs and preceded to sing and dance in the that style which caused one of Dorothys ruby slippers to become a projectile into the audience. It was nice to get out for an evening, but I wouldn't recommend it. read more

I have been wanting to go see a play and I am very happy that Camelot Theatre is back! I went to see the audio drama of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde just before Halloween. I can't say that I even knew what to expect, but I thought that everyone did a very good job. The theatre company made a big effort to be clear in their expectations and efforts for everyone to remain safe. At this point, proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test are required for entry. The concession area offered a nice selection. read more

Dan H Camelot Theater Director, In answer to your comment on my post: Our family purchased tickets for the play 'A Little Night Music' early MARCH 2020. The play was cancelled. We were asked if we would do your theater a favor by taking a credit instead of a refund and we agreed at that time. We received an e-mail AUGUST 2021 that Camelot Theater was open but requiring a COVID 19 VACCINE DOCUMENT to enter your theater. We were also informed that at the end of August 2021 you were no longer issuing refunds. Our family does not agree with forcing people to provide health documents to enter a theater. This is highly personal information and none of your business. We went to the theater on August 5, 2021 and advised Emily at the front desk that we would like our refund. She stated she would have Dan Houser, Executive Director contact us. We received an e-mail from (you) Dan Houser, on August the 5th at 1:46 stating "I'll send a check for your credit and remove you from our database. I hope you and ------ stay well, we'll miss you." There was an almost mocking tone to this e-mail and we have never received our refund or been able to speak to Dan Hauser despite numerous attempts. On one call, Emily pretended like the line was bad and kept telling us that we were cutting in and out! For a non profit business to behave in this manner is fairly shocking. Camelot Theater owes my family $77.00. We requested the refund before August 2021 was over (August 5th) and have every right to receive a refund as no service was rendered. read more

We went to see The Sound of Music at this charming little venue in Talent. It's a brand new (revamped) theater, and we enjoyed seeing this production with our six-year old in the front row. If you think Ashland is the only place for theater, don't miss out on Camelot in the town next door. Very reasonable prices, and good production quality overall. For Sound of Music, I liked that they selected children from local schools at reasonably close ages to the respective roles. Some off-note performances, but I chalked it up as part of the charm. The lead was a very strong Maria. We'll definitely take a look at future performances, and hope we can pair with the great dining available at nearby Arbor House. Go check out Camelot! read more

I have been to many fine performances at the Camelot Theater. Having sat in many different places through this intimate theater I can confidently say that there are no "bad" seats. I attended a performance of The Hunchback of Notre dame Saturday and was extremely impressed with all aspects of the theater company's rendition of this new musical. The casting, acting, voices, costumes, stage setting were all fantastic. I think this is the best performance by a local theater that I have ever seen in the last twenty years living in this valley; including OSF. Kudos and accolades to all that were involved! And thank you to Mr. Collier and others that support this worthy theater. Bravo! read more

I have been going to plays at the Camelot theater since since I moved into the area 2004, I've never been badly disappointed (although I haven't really liked all the plays themselves.) If you are looking for Broadway performances or even major theater productions you will probably be disappointed, however they do a good job on most productions for a small theater. In reference to the prior comment, What do you want for nothing? Camelot gives a good value for a relative low outlay of cash (tickets run in the low $20 range for all performances) and there are reduced prices available for performances (Pay What You Can Afford Night.) a boon to those who are unable to afford the nearby Oregon Shakespeare Festival's prices which range up into the $60 a seat range. The old theater was not the best venue admittedly being established on a shoestring however the just opened new theater is half again as large butstill small enough to be considered "intimate." Performers are a mixture of amateur and professional but many have quite respectable credentials. The "spotlight" series are not representative of the stage productions which feature such works as Judgement at Nuremburg, 42nd Street, and Sweeney Todd to name a few of the ten or so productions staged annually. Good quality local theater in my opinion is hard to find but Camelot makes an excellent attempt at it which benefits the area and the cultural scene as a whole, Their growth would seem to indicate that local residents agree with me. read more

I love Les Miserables, but I did not love Camelot's production. I'm not sure what they were thinking when casting it, but it is clear that there is no talent in Talent. The four of us left at intermission.The show's saving grace was the actress who played Eponine and despite the horrendous makeup, Monsieur Thenardier had some good moments. The rest of the cast either over acted, under acted or just flat out couldn't sing. Don't even get me started on Fantine... yikes... The orchestra was consistently out of tune and the piano synthesizer made the whole production sound like it was set to karaoke sound tracks. The theater is beautiful and the people working were very nice but these aspects were the best part of my evening. read more

The casting was not believable and aside from a couple of numbers the choreography/singing was monotonous. I was sad it turned out this way - we were hoping for a new theater to adopt. read more

Visiting from San Francisco. Went to see La Cage Aux Folles. Absolutely amazing production. Only thing I recommend is clarification on food in the theater. I bought some wine and food at intermission and then was told I could not bring it into the theater, so I throw it away. I go back and over half the people in my row are eating and enjoying their wine. I asked the person next to me, and they said they always buy wine and drink it through the second half. read more

My wife and I have tried not to miss a performance at Camelot for the last 4 years, and have never been disappointed. The music, the actors and singers, the dancers, the orchestra, the production, are all fabulous, every time, and Billy Elliot was no exception. It was exhilarating and it inspired us to make a large donation to the theater after we got home to support the continuation of the excellent level of professionalism and talent we have come to expect from them. They truly live up to their slogan Where Broadway Meets Talent. We especially love their musical productions, and today we bought the tickets for their entire new season. We live in Ashland, home of the Shakespeare Festival and many other good theaters, and we go to everybody's events sporadically since we love theater, but we don't miss a show at Camelot.
