So many things on the menu looked great. No one was behind the ice cream counter when I arrived, but soon a youngster made their way over and very pleasantly greeted and assisted me. I was surprised there was no chocolate chip ice cream. I ended up ordering a flavor a rarely if ever order...maple nut. The nut being walnut. On a plain waffle cone. As you can see from the photo, there were a number of very tempting dipped and sprinkled cones. Might have to try one of those next time. That ice cream was so rich and flavorful, I may have to order it again. After I have lunch there.

Because there were around 12 of us that went, we chose to rent their party room which was $30 for 2 hours. By having the party room, you are allowed to bring food and alcohol! It's super convenient that there is a dominos next door. There is a large variety of ceramic items to choose from: Dog bowls, tiles, piggy banks. animal figures, coffee mugs, plates etc. All of the items that I looked at ranged from $5-$30+ which is very reasonable. Once we picked and paid for our item, we were explained the process and got to painting. When you are done, you have to leave your item there to go through the firing process which can take a week. I highly recommend this business and I know I will be back! :)

They were able to accommodate us on very short notice which was appreciated! The decor was excellent and the room was fun (no spoilers!). This was the first escape room I've done where the employee role-played in the room (as the bartender) rather than watching from outside. It made things feel more immersive, even if it did feel like a clever, low tech workaround at time (I'm pretty sure he had to manually trigger some things when certain conditions were met). 13 of us did the Thrill Seeker outing, so rafting in the morning, lunch and kayaking in the…read moreafternoon. This is not a trip for the faint of heart, these are real rapids. That said, I am 72 years old and made it through reasonably unscathed. The rafting trip is pretty easy, though you are expected to paddle. When going through the rapids you have to listen for his commands to bring your paddle in and grab onto the handle for dear life. Careful of sunburn - if you don't slather on the sunscreen you'll get fried. The kayaking is a little more challenging. I almost fell out of the kayak twice, but was able to self-right with my paddle. The youngest in our group was 15 years old, and all the younger kids I saw on the trip handled it with no issues. The kayaks are inflatable with no real keel so they are a bit challenging to steer, so make sure you are up for the challenge before committing. I had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat!!

I've had the opportunity to join Tika for two paintings and I enjoyed them both greatly! In fact,…read morethey are a couple of my favorites of the 7 or so that I have done at various establishments! Tika's business is a tiny bit hard to find...your GPS will tell you that you have arrived and you will be in the middle of Crater Lake Avenue wondering if you are drunk or crazy. You might be, but Visions of Wonderland is a tucked away corner of one of the three buildings on the corner lot there. Essentially, pull in like you are going to Squeeze-In Sandwich shop and drive around the building to the back. Tucked in the corner you will find Visions! Tika has a great attitude, a fun style, serves up coffee, tea and sometimes a sweet snack. You can bring your own beverages and snacks, as well. Tika is patient and talks the class easily through the painting, even challenging ones! I've been following Visions of Wonderland on Facebook for the last few months, and I love how Tika keeps it interesting, promotes the different classes, for kids, different media and she also takes suggestions for new ideas!
