Concern About Staff Harassment…read more I attended a community event recently and had an uncomfortable experience with one of your staff photographers. Despite clearly blocking him and expressing that I did not want my photo taken, he continued taking pictures of me and singling me out to take my picture and record me. When I reported this to venue staff, the response was essentially that he was "just doing his job," which made me feel that my boundaries and safety were not being taken seriously. The staff did not address his behavior and requested a private meeting with me to question me. I'm sharing this so the venue is aware that attendees' comfort and consent must come first. Staff should be trained and reminded to respect boundaries and ensure everyone feels safe. I hope the venue will address this behavior and prevent similar incidents in the future.

Plenty of shade trees, open space, poop bags and water fountains ( for humans & K-9's)* *water fountains for humans & K-9's. Poop bags for dogs only. Both the big dog (over 30lbs) and small dog areas have ample room to run and play. We now have 3 very nice dog parks ( Folsom / Cameron Park ) within a 10 mile radius of our home. What a great place for "Man's best friend" to run, play and meet new friends.

This park is large and looks brand new, the playground supplies are modern and would appeal to many different age groups. There are also covered picnic tables, walking paths, and a small and large fenced in dog park. We parked in the large parking lot and headed straight to the large dog area of the dog park. It has a double gate which helps make sure none of the dogs get loose, and there are benches around the circumference including some covered for some shade. There is also a water station and dog bags and a garbage for waste. The dog park has wood chips all over it and is a bit hilly. The wood chip covering makes it harder to walk around, but does keep things from getting muddy even when it's raining. You'll want to watch your dogs closely because their poop could blend in with the brown chips and you'll want to find and pick it up so no one accidentally steps in it. My dog seemed to tire out faster than usual while we played catch, I think it was harder for him to run on the wood chips as well and I was a bit worried about him getting a splinter or a weird piece that might hurt his paws. Overall this was a very nice park that is well kept and next time I visit I'd like to explore the walking paths in the area.

The park has a parking lot, covered pavilion with picnic benches and BBQs, play area with two zip lines, dog park, one basketball court, two tennis courts, two volleyball courts, and a little league baseball field. But I noticed they don't have a lot of trees planted and the ones they do have are a puny. It will take several years for them to mature to provide shade. An important thing to note is that the basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts are by reservation. Reservations can be made online but cost money $$. 2 hours of volleyball cost $70 and 2 hours of tennis is $50 which is ridiculous! Sure folks can use the courts, without paying, until they're bumped out by someone showing up with a reservation. So this may cause some controversy. Plus good luck to you in using the courts. They've been busy nonstop since the park opened and there is no time limit for folks without reservations. They can bunker down all day long. There are no time limit restrictions. The volleyball courts are on astroturf. The baseball field has a caged bullpen right next to the dugouts. The dog park is fenced in with wood chips as ground cover, and separated by small and large dogs. There are ADA complaint paved walking paths around and within the park's perimeter. Along the path are doggie poop bags and recycle & trash cans making it very convenient to not be a litterbug.

Technically, I was only on Folsom High's cross country team for a few weeks, but that was long enough to run around this pond several times. Back then, it was just a bunch of barely developed running trails around the water. When I recently visited, I was surprised to find that it had been expanded into a real, official park. These days, there are restrooms, picnic tables, a play area, exercise equipment, and even a fishing and docking ramp on the pond. A few bridges have been added to the paths to help protect the wetlands. The play area is small, but it's cute, and unique. It's really mainly just a bunch of nets for climbing. A short walk down the path away, there is a small cross-fit jungle gym, complete with instructions, set up right in front of the pond. (Note that users must be at least 14 years old to use the equipment.) During my most recent visit, I saw lots of birds, including a couple of geese with five baby goslings in tow. While it wasn't quite as rural as I remembered it, it was still very peaceful and picturesque. I can definitely see myself coming back sometime to try cross-fit by the pond.

Did see a pair of Beautiful SWANS with a 5 foot wingspan circle the reservoir and land right in front of us on the fishing pier. The kids were amazed watching their show.
